Maan and Geet went to the library.Geet searched for the hostorical book which dealth with her Palace.Finally she got that book.She was thrilled.
G:Wow!
Maan took it from her.
M:First I will read it.
G:Oh..please Maan'let me read it first.
M:No..me first.
G:Oh!I can't wait to read it.
M:But you have to wait darling.
Geet made a sad baby face which made Maan laugh.
Maan kept the book inside the cupboard.
The next morning'.
Maan took the book from the cupboard.
He thought:I will read this book inside that room.Then only that effect will be there.
He went inside the room.
Suddenly he thought:Geet longs to read this book.I will call her also.I will read it aloud for her.Otherwise she will be upset.
Maan started going downstairs.His leg got slipped and he fell down.He rolled down the steps.
Everyone was shocked.
Rano:Damadji'.
They all tried to get him up.
Geet came crying.
G:What happened Maan?
Maan's forehead was bleeding.
M:I don't know Geet'one of the steps was oily.So the leg got slipped.
Ganga:But how can there be oil on the step?
Rano:Take him to the hospital immediately.I will wipe the steps.
They took him to the hospital.
Geet was upset seeing her Maan on the bed.
G:I think dadu was right.We should not have stayed in the Palace.We should have opened that mysterious room.We should nit have taken that book from the library.
M:So you think it's because of that I met with this accident?Don't be superstitious Geet.You are an educated lady.
G:But when such things happen,anybody will become superstitious.
M:Don't worry Geet.I am alright now.Nothing bad has happened.
He tried to console her.
G:I will inform your family.
M:No Geet.Dadima will be very upset.She only send us to the Palace as she loves me studying history.But if she comes to know that I could'nt do what I wanted she will be upset.And if she knows about the accident she will be shattered.
G:Ok.Be happy.
He held her hand.
M:Only if you smile i can be happy.
She tried hard to smile only to make him happy.
After a few days'.
Maan got discharged from the hospital.
Night...
Somebody put sleeping pills in Geet's milk.Geet drank it and went to the room slowly as she was finding it difficult to walk.She fell on the bed and fell asleep.
Maan came out of the bathroom after bath.
M:Geet'we will go that room and read the book together.
He saw her sleeping peacefully.
M:You slept so early?
Maan lay on the bed.But he was not able to sleep properly.
He thought:Who put oil on the step?Somehow I feel that it was done purposefully.But why should someone do that?Why do I think about it unnecessarily?
Suddenly he heard a lady singing a classical song.He heard the tinkle of an anklet.He got scared.
He looked at Geet.She was sleeping peacefully.
M:Let her sleep.She will be again guilty for disobeying dadu .
He walked towards that room.
He thought:That means what dadu said is true. It was not his illusion.Who is dancing inside the room?I should find out.
He opened the room.He was shocked to see that person.
M:You?So you were the one who scared dadu?Why did you do this?I will reveal your true face to everyone.
