Next day,

The whole night she was unable to sleep and was thinking constantly.

She was looking pale and had dark circles under her eyes.

Seeing her in this condition Dadima was hell worried now and asked Maan who was sitting on the head chair of dining table, " Maan aapne unse kya kaha kal raat ko mene aapko unhe samjhane ke liye kaha tha darane ke liye nhi. Just see her face. Poor baby!! I shouldn't have sent you." She shook her head in annoyance.

And Maan who was eating going to start his breakfast stopped right there and stare Dadi with his eyebrows up then saw Geet's face who was still in her dreamland, sorry nightmare land.

He shook his head and then was going to put the spoon of cornflakes in mouth Dadi again started, "Hume aapse yeh umeed nhi thi Maan instead of saying sorry to her you are busy eating. Unhe dekha h bichare apne breaffast ke saath khel rhe hen, ek spoon bhi nhi khaya piche 15 minute se."

This time Maan totally lost it and shouted, " mene kaunsa khaya h aap pichle 15 minute se mujhe shlok sunna rhe hen. Can I please eat my breakfast in peace Dadima and please I am not here to solve problems of others either I am not a joker ki kisi ka mood khrab h toh unke samne stupid performances dun unhe khush karne ke liye."

Geet came out of her trance and gazed at him then dropped her head down.

There was perfect silence on the table. Everyone ate there breakfast quietly.

Geet thought, 'lgta h Maan ko kal raat ki baat kuch zyada hi buri lg gyi h. tabhi mujhpr chilla rhe hen. Arey ab meri kya galti h mujhe kya pata tha ki voh cop hen unhone mujhe btaya tha kya, nhi na toh fir how will get to know?' she was making faces and watching Maan all the while and when Maan saw her, he thought,' she really need to consult a psychiatrist.'

Maan was going to be hell busy today as he was going to change his main plan, which will ultimately change his other plans too. He called Adi back from London, who was their working on other project.

"Adi we have to change our plan." Maan told Adi, both walking towards Maan's cabin.

" Ohh yes sir Tanu told me about the calamity Yash created." Adi said setting his spectacles properly. (Tanu - TARUNA 😃)

"Adi. I was thinking..." He paused Adi sensed the seriousness in his voice Maan continued,

"...that we have to get close to them in order to know what they are planning, right?"

"Right sir, but how sir?" Adi asked in perplexity.

Maan smirked and said," we will enter their Gang."

Adi supposed, "but sir they have already seen two of our team members."

Maan rested his head on the chair rest and said, "then its simple Adi, we both will be going in their gang if you are ready to ready to risk your life for your country and me."

Adi beamed and responded, "anything you say sir." Maan knew he was going to get this kinda respond from Adi.

After few hours Maan got sometime to breathe, he sighed and relaxed closing his eyes.

But the time he closed his eyes he saw a beautiful face hazel eyes with kohl, beautiful smile, but suddenly Maan opened his eyes and remembered the scene took place in the morning.

He asked himself, 'did I hurt her? No I don't think but Maan what was the need to say those nasty things to her. Now you will apologize to her understand. But hey I never apologize' he shook his head then again went back to his thought, 'But if u want her to talk to you again like before you have to apologize.'

He sat there thinking what to do. Then came to a conclusion, "yes I will apologize for my behavior."

At the same time Adi came inside and saw Maan talking to himself, Maan didn't saw him.

Adi got worried seeing him in this state and asked, "Apologize? To whom sir?" Maan got startled hearing Adi and asked, "Adi tum yahan kya kr rhe ho?"

"voh yeh papers par aapke sign chahiye the." Adi said.

Same day at khurana mansion

Geet was walking up and down in her room and scolding herself, "kya zarurat thi unke samne police vaalon ki dhajiyan udhane ki, now you will apologize to him understand, but agar nhi mane toh, voh baad ki baat h pehle tu unhe sorry toh bol kya pata pehli baar mein mann jayen." She said and concluded that she will apologize once he is back home at night.

At Night

Geet was sitting on a bench in the garden with crossed legs. The weather was really pleasant. She was sketching a car in her sketchbook.

Maan came and saw her engrossed in something. H sat beside her and she raised her head to see who is it and saw Maan sitting next to her.

He was not facing her because he knew if he will see her face he will definitely drown in her hazel eyes and will forget what he want to say. So he thought its better to avoid seeing her face. She saw him and got scared that he will again burst. She slides towards the end of the bench. Maan saw her her sliding and said sweetly, " I wont eat you."

Then they became silent and Geet heartbeats were rasing and looking up towards sky she was praying silently to her babaji, 'please babaji inhe yahan se bhejo ya mujhe itni shakti do ki inhe sorry bol sakun.'

Maan was thinking where to start the conversation and when he was going to say something and he turned his head towards her he saw her looking up to the sky and mumbling something.

He rolled his eyes and said, "Uppar dekhkr kisse baat kr rhi ho?" she turned her head towards him and said, "Apne babaji se aapko koi problem h."

"No, but u can talk to me also." He said.

"Oh, so you talk also! Mujhe toh lgta tha Maan singh khurana se baat krna matlab khud se baat krna."

"What do you mean by that?" Maan asked her with anger.

"Don't get me wrong but seriously aapse baat krna matlab diwaron se ya khud se baat krna." She laughed it off.

"And pray please give an instance of this habit of mine." Maan asked.

She responded, " two three days back, when we were eating Ice cream in your room and I was constantly chatting and you were just answering hmmm aur haan. Tab bhi mujhe yehi lg rha tha that I am either talking to walls or myself." She said that with a smile.

She was getting comfortable with him now. He too smiled seeing her smiling and laughing so serenely.

With the light blue suit that she was wearing, she was actually looking like an angel straight from God's abode.

His world again stopped and he drowned in her dark abyss. he came out of his reverie when Geet asked him, "Vaise aap yahan kya karne aaye the. Roz toh iss waqt apne room mein hotey ho."

"Kyun mein yahan nhi aa sakta? Aur vaise bhi, mera ghar meri marzi mein kahin bhi jaaun." Maan said this with his hands crossed across his broad chest.

He was wearing a white shirt with the upper two buttons open and dark blue denim jeans, looking smart and handsome.

Geet who was observing his biceps and dolley-sholley divert her crazy mind by saying, "Voh mujhe aapse kuch baat bhi krni thi."

"Haan bolo." Maan said politely.

"Ahh, voh''.. voh' subah'kal..."

"Kal... subah... voh...kya?" Maan asked.

"Kal'.. voh' actually'I want to say for yesterday. Mujhe police vaalon ke liye voh sab nhi bolna chahiye tha." She said it finally.

"its okay.. uhhh, mein bhi vaise yehi baat krne aaya tha. I am also sorry for my rude behavior." Maan said it discontentedly.

"Its okay." she said beaming a big smile.

"You know, I think it is time I started looking for a place of my own. You are really a wonderful host and dost and of course I don't feel the slightest bit uncomfortable here but all the same I don't want to be an uncertain burden on you, not knowing how long I am going to be in dark, so to say." She said

"Oh skip it," he tried to laugh it off, "to me it is a real pleasure having such a burden ' I thank God for it."

"My mind is absolutely clean slate still," she continued much in her former serious vein. "it seems I don't even have a driving license on me."

He looked into her eyes and said, "Now I am going to make you a request, don't worry about anything and leave everything to me ' no matter how long this strange malaise lasts. I am prepared for a life time'"

A touch of color crept into her slightly lowered face. Never before in his whole life he had seen such a beautiful thing.

For a moment he was charmed; then as she looked up at him, he said, "Please don't bother. Keep your chin up... that's what I call a modern girl." She started laughing hearing him say that.
