Love knows no bounds

Part 1

Maan is driving his car as fast as he can. He is late. He curses his assistant Adi for holding him back for so long. He is wishing desperately in his heart for her to be still there. His heart is thumping hard in his chest in fear that he might not be able to see her today.

He stops his car abruptly at the side of the road and rushes towards the wilderness of the road. He is running too fast passing all the trees. It was like he was running towards his life.

At last he stops holding the branch of a last tree, which was his destination. He looks madly around for her fearing that she has gone.

But he was wrong. He saw her sitting on the ground few feet away from him near the river bank looking at the setting sun. And he breathed a sigh of relief.

He sits at the foot of the tree leaning his back on the trunk and looking at the girl. The girl is in her late teen years. She is wearing a white churidar suit. She is very beautiful but there's some kind of sadness in her eyes. Some kind of pain... loneliness... longing...

The girl did not realise Maan's presence behind her. Maan was looking at her with loving eyes. This was his normal schedule. She came here daily and sat at the river bank staring at the setting sun, and he watched her from a distance.

At last she gets up and starts moving towards the road with her eyes on the ground. When she passed Maan, she did not even give him a second look and was about to walk past him when Maan said "Geet!"

Geet stops and looks at Maan.

Geet: Maan, maine aapse kitni baar kaha hai, ke mera peechha mat kiya kijiye. Phir aap kiyun mujhe akela nahin chhod dete?!

Maan gets hurt with Geet's words.

Maan: Geet, how can I leave you alone? I love you Geet. And I know you love me too.

Geet fakes coldness in her voice.

Geet: Yeh aapki galat fehmi hai Maan. I don't love you. Jo Geet aapse pyaar karti thi, wo to kab ki mar chuki hai. Yeh Geet jo aapke saamne khadi hai, wo kisi aur ki patni hai!! I'm married Maan!!! And the sooner you accept this, the better it would be for you!

Maan(sarcastically): Married?? Really Geet? You call that pretence a marriage?

Geet: Aapke maan-ne na maan-ne se sach badlne nahin wala hai Maan!! And the truth is that I'm married...

Maan cuts her inbetween and says angrily

Maan: At the age of 5!! Geet come on, you cant be serious about it! You didn't even know how to say the word 'marriage' when your so-called marriage happened! And that guy is not even alive Geet!! So why are you ruining your life??

Geet: Maan, is baare mein baat karke koi fayda nahin hai. You and me, just cant be together. So its better if you forget about everything and move on.

And she leaves without another word.

Maan smirks determinedly and says "No Geet, I'm not gonna forget anything and neither I'm gonna let you forget anything. You are my life Geet! And I wont let anybody play with my life. Not even you!!

Almost 1 years back

Geet belonged to a conservative family of Hoshiarpur. She has grown up fearing her father and brother, Brij Veerji. When she was 17, she has requested her mom to talk to her father to let her go to Delhi for higher studies. Her mother has been successful in making her father to let Geet go to Delhi. Geet did not knew that this was the last months of her carefree life that has been given to her as a bheek. Geet was unaware that she has been married at the age of 5 and her so-called husband has died when she was just 8. But her mother has never let her know about this marriage.

Geet has always felt like a prisoner in her own house. She was never allowed to go out or make friends by her father and brij. So when she got permission to go to Delhi, her happiness knew no bounds. She thought this was her chance to live her life at last.

After reaching Delhi, she soon adapted to the new surroundings. She made new friends. She did whatever she wanted! It was the best time of her life.

One day, couple of weeks later of Geet coming to Delhi, her new best friend Annie asked her to attend a family function with her. Geet agreed without giving it much thought. It was Annie's dadima's birthday.

Geet never knew that her best friend was so rich. Her house was almost like a palace. It was on that day, that Annie introduced Geet to her brother, Maan Singh Khurana. At first Geet thought that he is very sadoo. He did not talked to anybody, stays to himself, his chin always held high in pride. But geet did not cared much about it at that time.

After that day, Geet met Maan many times whenever she went to Annie's house. In the beginning, they just said hi-hello to each other. But slowly and slowly, the quantity of their conversation increased. And there came a time when they became very good friends too.

Now many times geet came to Khurana Mansion and she doesn't even see annie, she left after talking to Maan for hours. It was then that Annie acted as a cupid between them and organised a dinner date for them.

Not that any of them objected. They already liked each other secretly, but both wanted the other to take the first step. So both of them thought that it was a good way of taking their relationship a step further.

At the end of the date, when Maan dropped Geet at the hostel, they decided to take a walk. And to their surprise, it started raining and it became very romantic. Maan felt a sudden pull towards Geet and he kissed her under the sky in the rain. The kind of kiss that Geet has always dreamed about... their first kiss could not have been more romantic and sexy than kissing in the rain...

After that there was no turning back. They were inseparable. Both were madly in love with each other. They couldn't live even a day without each other. They always slept while talking to each other on the phone for hours and their mornings start by hearing each other's voice. Every day, after college Maan picks geet up and they would spend hours together.

It has been 6 months for them to be in a relationship. They have even started planning their future together. They have started talking about their marriage plans together.

It was one month back that Geet has decided to tell about Maan to her family. Maan wanted to go with her but Geet refused because she knows her family. She wanted to talk to them alone first. So she made him stay back in Delhi. Maan wasn't happy about it but he agreed.

When geet reached HP, she told her mom about Maan. Her mom gets very tensed and tells geet about her marriage. Geet was shocked to hear the truth. Her whole world came tumbling down. All her dreams, her future, her hopes were shattered in front of her eyes.

In a minute she has become from single to a widow. She doesn't even know who her so called husband was and neither she cared. She loved Maan and that's all she knows. So she made a plan to run away before her mom tells anybody about Maan and her father and brother forces her into this new relation. But to her bad luck she got caught and the truth about Maan came out.

Geet's brothers and father threatens her to kill Maan if she doesn't listen to them. Geet gets scared and agrees to go to her in-laws house and lives as a widow while serving her in-law parents.

But before that, she has to finish her relationship with Maan...

15 days ago

Geet is sitting in a coffee shop waiting for Maan. She has a coffee in front of her but she hasn't had even a single sip. She is very restless but she has to do this. She cant let anything happen to Maan. If it was just the matter of her life, she wouldn't care, but Maan... she does care. She knew her brother and father; they can do what they say. She cant take the risk. So its better if they go separate ways.

Maan reaches in a hurry and came to Geet. He gave a small peck on her lips and said

"I'm so sorry sweetheart. Was stuck in the traffic." And he sits in front of her "How are you honey? You know how much I missed you!!"

Geet was looking at her cup while stroking the tip of the cup with her index finger.

"I'm fine Maan. How are you?" she said trying to fight back the tears.

"Now that you are back, so I'm fantastic!!" he said while holding Geet's hand.

Geet looks at Maan and he saw tears in her eyes. He felt his whole existence without any meaning to see tears in Geet's eyes. He felt immense pain in his heart because of Geet's pain.

He gets up and goes close to her and cups Geet's face in his hand and wipes her tears "Geet, what happened? Why are you crying?"

Geet felt choked at her throat and she hugged him tightly while crying hard.

Maan couldn't understand what has happened. Why was geet crying like that.

Maan consoles her while stroking her back and said "What happened Geet? Please tell me!!"

After some time geet was able to control herself and said in between her sobs "Maan, everything is finished!"

"Hua kya Geet?"

Geet didn't know how to tell him this harsh truth. She bit her lips and said "I'm married."

It took 2 seconds for her words to register in his mind and he said "WHATTT???"

"I'm married Maan." And she tells him everything that happened in HP except for the real reason of why she was breaking up. She knew that if she tells him that they cant be together because she is scared for his life, he is never gonna agree to it. And she cant take any chances with his life.

Geet broke down into harder tears as she finished her story.

Maan thinks for sometime and said "Geet, whatever happened, just forget about it. There's a whole future in front of you. That guy is no more. I know it is a shock for you, but you have to get out of it Geet! For you, for me, for us!!! I promise you Geet, that I will never leave you. Ise bas ek bura sapna samajh ke bhool jaao!"

And geet realised that he was misunderstanding her. But its her job to make him see what she is saying.

"Maan there is no 'us' anymore. I'm a married woman Maan. Jab maine aapse pyaar kiya tha, tab main ye nahin jaanti thi ke main shadi-shuda hoon. But now I know! I cant cross my boundaries. So we can never be together Maan. Please forget me. Aur ho sake to mujhe maaf kar dijiyega." It took a lot of courage for Geet to say this to Maan without crying, but she did it. She had fought her tears back and said this with determination.

Maan couldn't believe what she was saying "Geet, have you gone mad? Is this some kind of a joke? Shadi-shuda??" he controlled his anger and said "First of all Geet, child-marriage is illegal. And second, your so-called husband is dead!! So why you want to ruin your life??"

Geet said while faking anger "Maan, maybe you don't have any respect for marriage but I do! I respect my marriage. It doesn't matter at what age I got married, but I still respect it. And as for it being illegal, I don't think it matters. Because if you are thinking that I'll go against my family, then forget it! Its never gonna happen!!" geet closes her eyes to control herself and says "So its better for everyone, if we leave this relationship over here. Just forget me Maan!!" she almost pleads.

"Geet, dil ke rishte itni aasaani se nahin toot-te. I will not let you ruin our lives for your vacuous principles. Main is shaadi ko nahin manta. Tum sirf meri ho Geet and I'm not letting you go."

"Maan.." she tries to reason but Maan didn't let her finish and cups her face in his hands again and said while looking into her eyes lovingly "Geet, I know you are very disturbed right now. I know you might have a lot of pressure from your family but Geet, you don't worry about anything. I'll take care of everything. You just look after yourself, rest leave it on me! I'll talk to your parents..."

"NO" Geet almost screamed and then said while controlling herself "Maan, I don't have any pressure from anybody. I'm doing whatever I feel is right! Just forget me Maan!!"

Maan was loosing his patience. "Geeettt" then he controls himself and says with forced patience "Geet, you don't know what you are saying! I think you need some time to get over this shock. Its ok geet, I understand. Tum ghar jaao, aur thande dimag se is baare mein socho. I'm sure once you'll think about it, you'll realise that you are wrong. I'll wait for your decision Geet." He finished sweetly.

Geet doesn't have to think about it. She knew she was wrong, but when it is about Maan's life, she wouldn't give a second thought before even killing herself. So this decision was nothing.

She said determinedly "You don't need to wait Maan, I have already taken my decision. And my decision is 'its over'." And she leaves without another word.

Maan knew that geet needs some time to get out of this shock, inspite of whatever she says. He was confident that once she will think about it, she will realise her mistake and come back to him. So he decided to give her some space for some time and let her sort her life by herself. Because he knows that some decisions we have to take by ourselves only. If someone tries to interfere or force into it, we might end up taking a wrong decision. But to leave her alone and don't see her even for a day was a death torture for him.

So he decided that he will keep an eye on her from a distance but would let her think about it on her own.

Present

It has been 15 days. Maan knew Geet comes to this river bank daily. It was 'their' place. He would also come there but sat at a distance and looks at her but never talks to her. He was still keeping his promise of letting her sort her life on her own. But he was becoming weaker and weaker every day by seeing the sadness in Geet's eyes which was increasing every day.

Geet has seen Maan every here and there when she was coming to hostel from college, or when she is going to market, or when she is going for a walk. She has confronted him many times not to follow her. But she knew he's not gonna give up so easily. So many times she just ignores him.

Today Maan's resolution broke. He had enough. He cant see Geet so sad. He has already waited and given her enough time to think about it, but she is being very stubborn about it.

He saw her retreating form and he decided that it has been enough. It was time to take the matters in his own hands. If Geet can't think what's best for her, then he will!! And he said to himself determinedly "I'm sorry Geet, but you have left no other option with me. Till today, I have been just Maan for you. But I guess its time for you to meet Maan Singh Khurana now!!" and he smirks and leaves too.

Part 2

The next day Geet was going back to HP. She knew her future is already been set for her over there. She wasn't happy to go back but she has to. She had just got permission of 15 days to come to Delhi to collect all her certificates from her college. Now she has to go back and live that lifeless life that her parents have chosen for her.

Geet was ready to leave. When she went outside her hostel, her eyes searched for Maan. She did not want to leave without seeing him for the last time. She looked around desperately to see him or his car anywhere, but he was nowhere to be seen. Geet became sad and said to herself angrily "Waise to har jagah mere peechhe peechhe firte rehte hain, lekin aaj jab main hamesha ke liye ja rahi hoon, to kahin pata hi nahin." She looked around one last time thinking that she might have missed spotting him somewhere, but she was wrong. He wasn't there.

She sat in the taxi depressed and sad. All the way to the railway station, her eyes searched for his black BMW everywhere hoping that he might come after her out of nowhere. She was still wrong. And before she knew, they had already reached the railway station.

By now, she knew somewhere in her mind that he is not gonna come, but the hope in her heart wasn't ready to give up. She searched for him madly in all directions. And soon it was time for her train's departure. She cursed the time which was running too fast today.

She thought that maybe he doesn't know that she was going today. The tears came into her eyes as she realised that she wouldn't be able to see him even for the last time.

She gets on the train crying silently but her eyes still searching for him on the platform. She was wishing in her heart that he would come there out of nowhere just like some movie star. But alas, her life was no movie! He did not came.

The train started and her last hope also died. Geet kept on crying silently all the way. Her tears weren't ready to stop as her mind was flooded with the most beautiful memories of her life.

When she reached HP, her eyes were red with continuous crying. But now she was numb. She wasn't crying anymore. She wasn't feeling anything anymore. She has accepted her fate and given herself in the hands of destiny. She has left her smile and happiness with Maan in Delhi.

When geet reached home, she was shocked to see Maan sitting in her house with her father and brij. Her eyes widened in shock. The first thought that came to her mind was 'Why the hell did you come here Maan?' she was sacrificing her life and happiness just for his safety and he has ruined all her efforts by coming into the traps of death. Geet was hell scared now. She didn't know if her family knows that this is Maan or not or what he was doing here.

Maan looked at geet and smiled with a glint of mischief in his eyes and said "How are you Geet?"

Geet was numb with shock and did not respond.

Brij asked Geet angrily "Geet, tu ise jaanti hai?" [do u know him?]

Geet didn't know what to say. Should she tell the truth? If she does, brij veerji and daarji(she calls her father daarji) are definitely gonna kill him. And if she doesn't, Maan is definitely gonna tell them the truth. She can see that in his eyes.

"Ji?" she said scared still trying to decide what she should do.

Brij repeated "Geet, tu ise jaanti hai kya??"

Geet looked at the ground but did not say anything.

She heard Maan saying "Haan Geet, Bolo na! Tell them that we love each other and want to marry each other."

Geet looks at him shocked and scared. She said in her mind 'Yeh aapne kya kar diya Maan?'[what did u do Maan?]

Brij yells angrily at Maan "Oyeee" and he holds his collar "zabaan sambhaal ke baat kar!" [mind ur tongue]

And the next second, Maan was holding Brij's hands at his back while putting his leg on Brij's back making brij a sandwich between him and the table nearby. Maan's moves were so quick and flawless that nobody realized what just happened. Everybody was so shocked to react. But the most shocked was Geet. She couldn't believe what she was seeing. She never knew that Maan was capable of such moves. No doubt he has a well-built body but such moves?! He was always so sweet with her.

Maan bends down on brij and said "Shukar manaao ke aaj main yahaan sirf baat karne aaya hoon!" and he leaves him with a push and said to geet's father "Darji, main geet se pyaar karta hoon aur us se shadi karna chahta hoon."[I love geet and I want to marry her]

"Oye kake! Maybe you don't know this that geet is married." Darji said.

"I know." Maan said coolly. "But darji, Geet ki shadi uski bachpan mein hui thi aur wo ladka to is duniya mein hai bhi nahin. Is shadi ko na to kanoon manta hai, aur na hi society. To aap apni hi beti ki zindagi kiyun barbaad karna chahte hain?" he tried to persuade him. [geets marriage was done in her childhood and that guy is not even alive. Neither the law accepts this marriage, nor the modern society. Then y do u want to ruin the life of ur own daughter?]

"Oye kake! Keep your knowledge with yourself. Hamare yahaan ladkiyon ki shadi sirf ek baar hoti hai. Aur geet ki shadi ho chuki hai. Ab yeh uski badkismati hai ke uska pati is duniya mein nahin hai. Lekin hamaare liye wohi uska pati tha, hai, aur rahega!" darji said with anger in his voice. [in our society, girls get married just once. And it was geets bad luck that her husband is no more. But for us, only he was, is, and will be her husband.]

Brij says "Sun liya! Ab nikal jaa yahaan se. Aur agar apni jaan ki khairiyat chahta hai, to geet ka naam bhi apni zubaan par dobaara mat laana!!" [heard it! Now get out!! And if u love to live, then don't even think about geet's name again]

Maan smirks at his stupidness.

"Aaj main yahaan sirf Maan ban kar Geet ka haath maangne aaya tha, wo bhi sharafat se. Par shayad aap logon ko sharafat ki zubaan samajh mein hi nahin aati hai. Koi baat nahin! Mujhe aap jaise logon se bhi baat karni aati hai. Isliye iske baad job hi hoga, uske zimedaar aap khud honge. Agli baar aap ka saamna Maan se nahin, Maan Singh Khurana se hoga. Aur rahi baat Geet ki, to Geet ka naam to Maan ke saath pehle hi jud chukka hai. Aur bohat jald, main aap sab ke saamne Geet ko doli mein bitha kar le ke jaaoonga, aur aap mein se koi kuch nahin kar paayega!" and he leaves. [today I came here as just Maan to ask for geet's hand in marriage, and that too with nobility. But maybe u don't understand the language of nobility. Doesn't matter! I also know how to talk to ppl like u. That's why whatever happens after this, u will be responsible for it. Next time u will face Maan Singh Khurana, not Maan. And about geet, her name is already joined with Maan. And very soon, I will take her from here after marrying her and nobody will be able to stop me.]

Geet was so shocked that she doesn't know how to react. Should she be happy that Maan is here or should she be sad that his life is in danger. Geet has grown up fearing darji and brij, so it was natural for her to get scared for Maan because of her family.

But she couldn't stop herself from smiling remembering Maan's threat to her family of marrying her in front of everyone. She didn't realise but a small hope has started to form in her heart. She wished that some miracle happens and his threat becomes a reality.

Next week was Geet's bidaai. But to Geet's surprise, she wasn't scared anymore. Maan's presence has given her strength. She hasn't realised till today that how much she trusts him.

The next day Khannas, Geet's so called in-law parents, comes to geet's house. And they tell darji that they cant do the bidaai. Different emotions passed through different family members of Geet at the same time by hearing this.

Darji—shock

Brij—anger

Mom—sadness

Bhabi (Brij's wife)—Fear

Geet—HAPPINESS!!!

The Khannas tell them that someone has taken over their business and has put a condition that he will return everything if they'll forget about this marriage. They say that they have already lost their son, but they cant loose their family business now. So that's why they are breaking this alliance.

Darji and Brij were very angry when their phone rang. Darji picks it up.

Darji: Hello

Maan: Congratulations Darji! Aapko us shadi se akhir chhutkara mil hi gaya[so at last u r free from that marriage]

Darji: You!! To yeh sab tumne kiya hai??!![so u r behind all this??!!]

Maan: Ab aap ne mere paas aur koi raasta hi nahin chhoda tha! Aap us shadi ko bhoolne ke liye tayaar nahin the, lekin khannas ne to bhoolne mein ek pal bhi nahin lagaya. [u didn't left any other option with me. You weren't ready to forget abt that marriage, but khannas didn't give a second thought b4 backing out!]

And his voice changes to serious determination.

Maan: Abhi bhi waqt hai Darji, is shadi ke liye maan jayiye. Don't force me to take harsh actions!! [still there's time, accept this marriage proposal]

Darji: Tum Sunderlal Handa ko dhamki de rahe ho?

Maan: ji nahin. Maan Singh Khurana dhamki nahin, chetaavani deta hai. Aap ke paas 2 din ka waqt hai. Agar aapne apna faisla nahin badla, to fir jo bhi hoga, uske liye mujhe ilzaam mat dijiyega.

And he hangs up.

Darji tells Brij that Maan is behind all this.

Brij says that he is gonna kill that Maan.

Geet gets shocked and scared. This was what she was fearing all along. She didn't know when she reached her room. Geet was petrified. Her hands were shaking in fear. She has to do something. She cant let Brij harm Maan. She wont let anything like that happen. She knew Brij or Darji are not gonna listen to her, but she can talk to Maan. She will make him leave from here. She cant take the risk with his life.

At night she sneaks out to meet Maan. She doesn't know from where she got the courage to sneak out at night from under the nose of Brij and Darji, but guess she would do anything for Maan.

She calls Maan and asks him to meet her at XYZ place.

Geet was standing on the park bridge when Maan reached there.

"Geet." He calls her name.

Geet looks back at him and says "Why did you come here Maan?"

Maan smirks and says playfully "Geet, are you forgetting, tumne hi to phone kar ke mujhe yahaan milne ke liye bulaya hai!" and he teases "warna main to hot-hot models ke sapnon wali neend sone hi wala tha..." he was expecting Geet to get mad at his teasing but geet was not gonna get side-tracked from the topic. Nothing can distract her if its a matter of Maan's life.

"Maan, you very well know what I'm talking about. What are you doing in HP?"

Maan gets serious at Geet's question and says "Geet, I came here for you! Main ayaa hoon kiyunki main jaanta hoon ke tum apni family ka saamna akele nahin kar sakti thi. Main aaya hoon kiyunki main tumhe apni life barbaad karte huye nahin dekh sakta hoon Geet. Main aaya hoon kiyunki main tumse bohat pyar karta hoon. Main aaya hoon kiyunki main jaanta hoon ke tum bhi mujhse bohat pyar karti ho. Main aaya hoon tumse shadi karne Geet. Aur wo to main kar ke hi rahoonga." [I came here bcoz I know u cant stand against ur family alone. I came here bcoz I cant see u ruinning ur life. I came here bcoz I love u very much. I came here bcoz I know that u love me too. I came here to marry u geet.]

Geet was so touched by his answer. She had unshed tears in her eyes. Maan cups her face in his hands and says "Hey, no tears! I love you Geet. Aur main hum dono ke liye hi to ye sab kuch kar raha hoon."

Geet couldn't hold back anymore and hugged him tightly while crying. She couldn't believe how she got so lucky to have Maan in her life. But then she remembers Brij's words and says "Maan, please yahaan se chale jayiye. Brij veerji aapko jaan se maar dalenge. Unhone kasam khayi hai, ke wo aapko zinda nahi chhodenge. Please yahaan se chale jaayiye Maan!" she begged him.

"Shhh Shh Shhh..." he puts his finger on her lips "Geet, mujhe kuch nahin hoga. Mujhe jaan se maarna to door, tumhara bhai mujhe chhoo bhi nahin sakta." [nothing will happen to me. Ur bro cant even touch me, let alone kill me!]

"But Maan..." she tries to protest but Maan again puts a finger on her lips and says "Geet, do you trust me?"

Geet nods while lost in the intensity of his eyes.

"To bina kisi dar ke apne ghar laut jaao. Aur agar kuch sochna hai, to ye socho ke hum honeymoon ke liye kahaan jaayenge!" he smiles "Baaki sab mujhpe chhod do. Main sab theek kar doonga geet. Main tumse vaada karta hoon Geet, ke hamaari shadi agle hafte hi hogi. Darji khud hamaari shadi karwayenge. Phir wo chahe apni marzi se karwayen ya majburi mein, shadi to agle hafte hi hogi!!"

Geet smiles at his words. All her fears have gone talking to him. She realised second time today that how much she trusts him... more than anybody... more than herself. She hugs him.

After few seconds, Maan picks up her face a little higher towards him. His mood has changed to romantic and he bends down to kiss her but now geet's mood has changed to playfulness.

When he was real close to her, she said bit loudly "Maan" he gets a little back "Ye aap kya kar rahe hain?" she asks with a hint of mischief in her voice.

Maan says mischievously too "Apni hone wali biwi ko kiss kar raha hoon."

Geet says faking surprise "Kiyun? Aapki wo sapno wali hot-hot models aapko kiss nahin karti?"

Maan also comes in teasing mood and says in a serious tone while hiding his smile "Kahaan Geet!" and he continues in a husky voice "Wo kiss ke alawa aur sab kuch karti hain!" and he winks at geet.

Geet says in a little voice "Kya!!??" and she controls herself and says angrily "Maan, aapko sharam nahin aati, sapno mein nangi ladkiyon ke saath na jaane kya kya karte huye!" she closes her eyes at the thought.

"Geet, maine yeh kab kaha, ke wo models bina kapdon ke hoti hain. Ab tumhara dirty mind kuch bhi soch raha hai, aur mujhe besharam keh rahi ho?" he teases.

She tries to get away from him but realises that he was holding her from her waist in his embrace. She says irritatingly "Chhodiye mujhe!"

Maan nods a 'no' and says "Nahin chhodunga, to kya kar logi?!"

"Main... wo... main..." she searches for words, but then gives up and says "Aap na, bohat bure ho!!"

"Really?" he says faking anger and leaves her and turns his back on her.

Geet thought that he has felt offended and she tries to pacify him by saying "Maan, I was just joking." She goes and stands to face him but he again turns away to face his back on her while trying very hard to control his smile at Geet's innocence. Geet continued while trying to face him "Aap to sach mein naraaz ho gaye! Achha baba, I'm sorry!! Ye lo" she holds her ears "I hold my ears ok. I'm sorry!!"

But Maan still didn't look at her.

"Maan, chahe to mujhe sazaa de dijiye, lekin yun naraaz mat rahiye na please!" she said pleadingly.

Now Maan looks back with a straight face "Sazaa?!"

Geet nods a yes innocently.

"Alright Geet, to tumhari sazaa ye hai ke, you have to kiss me!"

"What??!!" geet was surprised and in her surprise she takes a step back. "Maan please!!" Geet looked at ground feeling shy.

"Ab sazaa ki baat to tumhi ne kit hi na Geet! To ab tum peechhe nahin hat sakti!!" he said with a hint of mischief in his voice which was not missed by Geet.

Geet realises that Maan is just pulling her leg, so she says "Ok."

Maan looks at her surprised "What?"

"Yeah! Fine I'll kiss you." She said in unbothered tone.

"Really?" Maan said with happiness in his voice.

"Close your eyes" she said seductively.

Maan does as told. Geet goes close to him and smiles at his closed eyes and kissed on his cheek and gets back quickly.

Maan opens his eyes a bit disappointed and said "Geet this is cheating!"

"No Mr. Maan Singh Khurana. This is called smartness. You never asked me to kiss on your lips!!"

"Fine! I want a kiss on my lips!!" he said a little like a kid.

"Sorry Maan! You don't qualify. My punishment is over." She said smiling.

Maan smiles back and hugs her.

After some time Maan says "Geet, now you should go home. Its very late!" and Geet nods.

Maan drops geet at her house and as she was about to go inside he said "Geet, just don't worry about anything OK?! Don't pay attention to what anybody says! I'm here with you and I'll always be with you!!"

Geet hugs him and says "I love you Maan!"

"I love you too Geet!"

And they broke the hug and geet goes inside and Maan droves off...

Part 3

The next day Brij takes some goons to kill Maan, but they didn't know where he was staying. They looked for him in every hotel, every inn, but he was no where.

When Brij comes back in the evening, geet hears him say to darji that he couldnt find Maan anywhere. Geet takes a sigh of relief. But Brij also says that tomorrow he will definitely find him. That made Geet again restless. She trusts Maan but she also know her brother.

She was very worried, so she calls Maan.

Maan: Yes my queen?

Geet: Maan, where are you?

Maan can sense tension in Geet's voice.

Maan: What happened Geet?

Geet tells him everything. When she's finished, Maan says without bothered.

Maan: Bas! itni si baat?! Geet, what did I tell you yesterday? That you dont worry about anything OK! I can take care of myself.

Geet: But Maan—

She tries to reason but he cuts her in between

Maan: Geet, I know Brij's each and every move. I know he was looking for me today. And even if he keep on looking for me for the rest of his life, he wouldn't be able to find me, unless I want him to!! If I wanted Geet, I could've finished this chase today, but I didn't do it because I gave a time of 2 days to Darji. I won't do anything in these 2 days. But after 2 days, they'll know the consequences of not listening to Maan Singh khurana.

Geet gets a bit scared and said

Geet: Aap kya karne wale ho?

Maan: Just wait and watch Geet.

Geet: Maan, aap aisa-vaisa kuch mat karna please!

Maan: Hey relax sweetheart. I'm not gonna kill your family. But I can't promise that they won't beg for death!!

Geet gets scared with his words.

Geet: Kya???!!!!

Maan: Relax Geet, I'm just joking! Tumhein in sab baaton ki fikar karne ki koi zaroorat nahin hai. You just take care of yourself ok.

Geet: I love you Maan.

Maan: I love you more Geet. Ab chalo, jaldi se meri goodnight kiss de do, mujhe neend aa rahi hai.

Geet (faking doubt): Itni jaldi aapko neend aa rahi hai? Kiyun? Un churail models ke saath sapne mein date pe jaane ka plan hai?

She said teasingly.

Maan: Geet, ab thode din to reh gaye hain meri aazaadi ke. Shadi ke baad kahaan tum mujhe kisi aur ki taraf aankh utha ke dekhne dogi!

Geet: Aap kehna chahte hain ke main aapko kaid kar ke rakhoongi!!??

Maan(faking happiness): Nahin rakhogi? Thankyou Babaji! That means I will be free to dream about any girl even after marriage.

Geet(getting jealous): Ji nahin!! I didnt meant that!

Maan (enjoying himself): So what did you meant Geet?

Geet: Agar aapne shadi ke baad ya shadi se pehle, kabhi bhi kisi aur ladki ka sapna bhi dekha na, to mujhse bura koi nahin hoga, main bata rahi hoon aapko Maan!!

Maan (Teasingly): Wo to tumse bura vaise bhi koi nahin hai Geet!

Geet (surprised): Kya!! Main buri hoon? Fine! Then no need to talk to me!! Goodnight!!!

Maan: Geet, listen... listen...Geet...

But Geet hangs up.

Maan tries to call her but she doesnt pick up. So Maan sends a text.

TEXT

I'm sorry Jaan. You know I was just joking! Meri mishti se meetha is duniya mein koi aur ho sakta hai bhala!! I love you Geet. Please talk to me jaan, or you know I won't be able to sleep!

PS: I'm still waiting for my goodnight kiss.

Geet reads the msg and smiles.

Doesnt he know that she can never be mad at him!!

Geet calls him and pretends to be angry for some time but then gave up. They talked for hours on the phone and didn't know when both of them dozed off while talking.

Next day also went without any serious event. Brij again went to look for Maan but Geet had a strange faith on him now. She trusts him that Brij wont be able to find him. When Brij came back in the evening, she realised she wasnt wrong. He wasnt able to find Maan.

Geet doesnt know that should she be happy because tomorrow Maan's gonna do something that will lead to their marriage or should she be sad because she doesnt know what Maan was gonna do. From his talks, it definitely looked like he was gonna do something real bad to her family.

At night, she again sleeped while talking to Maan. She tried everything to make him tell her his plan, but he always said that she neednt worry about it...

Next day Geet woke up with the noise outside. She quickly grabs her dupatta and goes out.

As she reached outside, she saw police holding Brij with handcuffs on his hands and Maan standing close by with his arms crossed around his chest and smirking evilly.

Brij yelled to maan "Oye!! Ye mat samajhna ke tu Bach jayega!! Main bohat jaldi wapis aaoonga aur wo din Teri zindagi ka aakhiri din hoga!!!" [don't think that u r saved. I will come back very soon n that day wud b the last day of ur life]

Maan smirks and then says with seriousness "Afsos ke wo din kabhi nahin aayega brij handa!!! Bahar aane ke sapne dekhna chhod do! Kiyunki ab sari zindagi tumhe jail ki salaakhon ke peechhe guzarni hai" and he smirks again evilly. [alas that day will never come! Stop dreaming of coming out of jail, bcoz for the rest of ur life u hv to spend behind the bars]

Inspector takes brij with them. Geet's mom runs after them pleading them to leave him...

Geet was so shocked at what was happening that she couldn't react!! Maan looks at Geet lovingly and says "Kaisi ho jaan?" [how r u love?]

Geet comes out of shock and says "Maan what is all this?" she couldn't believe that Maan was doing something like this... She loves him a lot but she can't see her family in trouble either.

Maan didn't reply to her and says to darji "So darji, aapko andaza to ho hi gaya hoga ke main kya kuch kar sakta hoon! To kya ab bhi aapko is shadi se aitraaz hai?" [u must hv an idea now of what I can do! So r u still against this marriage?]

Darji says angrily "Tujhe kya lagta hai? Ke tu jeet gaya? Brij ko main bohat jald chhuda loonga!!! Aur tujh jaise insaan ke saath rishta to kya, Sunderlal handa dosti bhi karni apni beiziti samajhta hai!! Ab nikal ja hamare ghar se!!!" he points towards the door. [what do u think, that u hv won today? I'll get out brij very soon. And with a person like u, I consider it my insult to do even friendship let alone relationship! now get out of our house]

But Maan just smirks and sits down on the chair with his one leg on top of the other and says "Sorry darji! Par shayad bohat galatfehmian hai aapko!! Brij jail se tab tak bahar nahin aa sakta, jab tak Maan Singh Khurana na chaahe!! Aap shayad bhool rahe hain, ke Brij par attempt to murder ke charges hain!!! Aur rahi baat is ghar se nikal jaane ki?! To ye ghar ab aapka nahin hai!!! Aap shayad bhool rahe hain ke aapne ye ghar girvi rakha hua tha, jo maine double paise dekar kal hi khareed liya!!"

Darji was looking at Maan unbelievably so he said "You don't believe me?" and he calls "Adi!"

Adi comes running towards them with a file. Maan says to Adi "Adi, show him the house papers!"

Darji sees the house papers and looks angrily at maan.

"Teri itni himmat--"

Maan stands up and says "Maine to aapko warn kia tha Darji, ab aapne meri warning ko seriously nahin liya, to ismein main kya kar sakta hoon!!"

Darji shouts while looking at Maan "Rano!!! Pack the luggage! We are leaving from here!!!"

Everybody is shocked by what daarji said. Geet felt tears coming to her eyes. She couldn't believe that this is what he calls handling everything??!!! He is ruining everything! Darji will never get ready for their marriage like this!!!

Within half an hour they were all ready to leave Handa Haveli. When they were about to go, Maan declares "Geet kahin nahin jayegi!!"

Geet looks at him shocked!!! What is he upto now???

Darji says angrily "Tu hota koun hai Geet ko rokne wala?? Geet hamare saath hi jayegi!"

Maan smirks and says "I'm her husband!!!"

Everybody looks at him shocked including Geet.

"Oye!!! Teri himmat kaise hui..," darji said angrily but Maan didn't let him finish and said "Before saying anything, just have a look at these pictures first!!!" he throws an envelope on the table.

Darji picks it up and looks at it.

Geet saw his expressions changing to immense anger. She comes close to darji to have a look on the pictures. And as she looked at them, her mouth fell open in shock as those were her wedding pictures with Maan which BTW has never happened!!!

Darji looks at her with anger filled eyes n she shakes her head slightly in a no while tears making way in her eyes.. Everything was getting out of her control! Maan was so hell bent upon ruining everything.. She was scared from her darjis anger...

She tried to clear it before darji could say anything to her "Darji, these photographs are not real!!! Meri koi shaadi nahin hui hai daarji!!!! Please believe me!!" she begged as the tears started flowing on her cheeks.

Geet was gonna say something more when she heard Maan saying "Geet is telling the truth darji! We are not married. Yet. These photographs are fake!! I made them with trick photography."

Everybody looked at him confused and shocked. Now Geet seriously couldn't understand what he is up to!!!

He continues "But darji, you know these photographs are fake, I know these photographs are fake" and he smirks evilly "but the world doesn't know that these photographs are fake!! So darji it's your decision! If you won't get ready for this marriage, I'll give these pictures in the media!! And after that whatever will happen to your family honour, don't blame me for that!! I hope you are aware how fast the news spread in the media!!! But agar aap is shadi ke liye maan jaate hain, to sab kuch theek ho sakta hai!! Brij will come out of jail, you'll get your house back, and most importantly, aapki izzat par daag lagne se bach jayega!!! Once these pictures come out in media, then who'll marry Geet??? Aap logon ka muh kabhi band nahin kar payenge!!! Just think about it darji!!!" he looks satisfactorily at the expressions of darji.. He could tell that he's giving up...

Darji says "Hamein sochne ke liye thoda sa waqt chahiye.."

Maan says with a sweet smile "Sure darji!! You have all the time in the world!!" but then says seriously "Aaj shaam tak ka waqt hai aapke paas!!" and he goes towards Geet who was still speechless "See I told you I'll take care of everything!!! See you in the evening sweetheart!" and before Geet can comprehend his actions, he planted a kiss on her cheek in front of everyone and leaves.

Geet was so shocked that she couldn't say anything. The shock soon turned into embarrassment. She can't believe he kissed her in front of her family. She wanted to bury herself in the ground due to shame and embarrassment.

She goes to her room cursing him under her breath. She says to herself "Hey Babaji! What would everyone be thinking about me!!" she touches her cheek where maan has kissed few minutes ago and said angrily "Ye Maan bhi na!! Hameshaa apne mann ki hi karte hain! I can't believe that police caught Brij Veerji!! And he bought our house!!! Aur blackmail karke shadi... Nahin nahin babaji! This is not right!!! Mujhe Maan se baat karni hogi!!!"

And she calls Maan

Maan: Hi sweetheart

Geet: Maan don't u sweetheart me! What was all this?

She said angrily.

Maan(faking innocence): Ab maine kya kiya hai geet?

Geet: Zyada bhole ban-ne ki koshish mat kijiye maan! Aap bohat achhi tarah se jante hain aapne kya kia hai!! Maan aap aisa kiyu kar rahe hain??(she almost pleads n then says) Aapne Brij Veerji ko jail bhijwa diya!! And you even bought our house!! Why maan?? What do you think, that everything will be fine if you marry me by blackmailing Darji?? Maan shayad Darji hamari shadi ke liye raazi bhi ho jayen, par woh majboori mein maanenge, marzi se nahin!!! Maan, you have ruined everything!!!" she said frustratingly.

She pauses for Maan to say something, but when he doesn't say anything she says

Geet: Ab kuch bol kiyu nahin rahe hain?

Maan: Tum bolne ka mauka dogi tabhi to kuch bolunga na! Geet you know ur family better than me!! They would have never agreed to our marriage just like that!! So I had to do something!!"

Geet: But Brij veerji--?

Maan: Geet, Brij is not that innocent as you think him to be!! He tried to kill Adi when he couldn't get his hands on me!!!

Geet was shocked to hear this.

Geet: What???!!!!

Maan: Yes Geet, if I haven't reached there on time, he would've killed Adi...

Geet was numb with shock. She didn't know how to react..

Maan continued "Geet, I already told you, don't get into all this.. I'll take care of everything. You just take care of my heart, and rest leave it to me."

He pauses and tells Geet "Geet, I'll talk to you later.. Dadima is on the other line.. I'll call you after talking to her.. Ok??"

Geet: Ok

He was about to hang up when she says suddenly

Geet: Maan!

Maan: Bolo Geet?

Geet shies a little and says "I love you!"

Maan smiles and says "I love you too Geet!!"

And he hangs up to receive dadima's call...

As she hang up the phone, she was shocked as someone snatched the phone from her hands. She looked up and saw darji glaring at her angrily with her phone in his hand.

He holds Geet's hair roughly and says "Saare fasaad ki jad tu hai!!!" [u r the cause of everything]

Geet screams in pain.

Darji says "Aaj main tera kissa hi khatam kar dunga!!!" he slaps Geet on her face and she falls down on the floor. [today I'm gonna finish ur story]

Geet's mom comes running towards them and comes inbetween darji and geet while begging darji to leave geet.

Darji says "Get her ready.. I'm gonna marry her with my friend's son today only!!! We are leaving right now!!!"

Shock and fear washes through Geet. Before she could come back to her senses, darji leaves from the room.

Geet looks at her mom shocked and says with tears in her eyes "Mom, I won't marry anybody except Maan!!!"

Rano says worried "Geet, tu kiyu apni aur Maan ki zindagi khatre mein daal rahi hai??!! Tu apne darji ko jaanti hai na? Wo teri baat kabhi nahi sunenge!!! Unke liye unka faisla patthar ki lakeer hota hai!!! Maan ne hamare ghar aa kar unke ahenkaar ko lalkaara hai!!! Wo ye kabhi bardasht nahi karenge!!! Geet please is shadi ke liye maan ja, warna wo tere saath saath maan ko bhi jaan se maar dalenge!!!"

Geet shakes her head while crying and runs out. As she reached the door, she saw darji outside and she retreats her steps in fear.

She falls on the bed while hiding her face in the pillow crying.

Rano strokes her head and says pleadingly "Geet, bhool ja use! Teri shadi uske saath kabhi nahin ho sakti!!!"

Geet gets up and wipes her tears and says determinedly "Nahin maa, aap galat hain!! Shadi to meri sirf Maan se hi hogi!! Jaayiye aur keh dijiye darji se; ke wo chahe kuch bhi kar lein, lekin meri shadi sirf Maan se hogi!!! Maan ne mujhse vada kiya hai, aur main jaanti hoon, ke chahe duniya idhar ki udhar ho jaaye, Maan apni Geet se kiya hua vada zaroor nibhayenge!!" she said confidently.

Rano smiles sadly at her confidence in her love and leaves out without saying anything.

Maan tries to call Geet a lot of times, but every time operator tells him that the phone is switched off. He feels something is wrong and calls Adi to check if everything is OK!! He has left Adi to keep an eye on Geet's house.

Adi tells Maan that darji and Geet has gone out almost half an hour ago. He tells him that his men tried to follow them, but lost them somewhere on their way.

Maan throws the phone away in anger and says to himself determinedly "Darji dua kijiye ke aapne koi galat kadam na utha liya ho, otherwise even I wouldn't be able to save you from Maan Singh Khurana's anger!!!"

Part 4

Geet is dressed up in bridal outfit. She doesn't know whose house she is in and she doesn't care. Some girls are talking to her and teasing her about marriage playfully but she's not listening to them because they don't hold any importance in her life. She is not even scared because she knows that her Maan would be here for her..

She knows that these stupid people are just fooling themselves when her destiny is already written with Maan. She smiles at her thought.

The ladies takes geet outside and makes her sit on the mandap...

She didn't even looked at her 'so-called' groom for once. He is nobody to her...

The pundit keeps on uttering the mantras... Now Geet started feeling anxious... Her eyes glued to the door...

As the pundit keep on uttering the mantras, her restlessness is increasing. She thinks if Maan really knows about all this or not? What if he gets late?? What if he doesn't come??? The fear has started to engulf her heart with the remote possibility of her getting married to this stranger.

She looks at the guy sitting next to her with disgust and anger. He is wearing a sehra and his face is not visible. Now she is having an internal war of getting up from the mandap and refusing to marry this guy...

The pundit asks them to stand up for the pheras.

Geet gets up with determination and says "Ye shadi nahin ho sakti!!"

Everybody looks at her shocked. She looks around to find a space from where she can run away. But before she can take a step out of the mandap, she feels a grip on her hand and looks towards the source.

Her so-called groom was holding her hand firmly. She tries to free herself from his hold, but he just tightens the hold and starts taking pheres while almost dragging Geet with him.

She tries to wriggle in his hold "Chhodo mujhe... I said leave me!!!"

But it looks like her words didn't reach his ears and he kept on dragging her with him.

"If my Maan comes to know about this, he will kill you!!" she tries to threaten him, but still no response.

"Please let me go!!! I love someone else!!! What will you get from this marriage when I don't even love you??!!" she pleads him but still he keeps on taking pheras mechanically.

And the pundit declares that the pheras have completed and asks them to sit down.

He makes her sit beside him forcefully while Geet's heart is sinking. She doesn't even know who he is or how he looks, and she is getting married to him!!!!!

She closes her eyes and prays silently for some miracle to happen and Maan to come for her rescue.

The pundit asks the groom to put sindoor to bride's forehead and the guy does as told. Geet did not open her eyes for all this time and then the pundit asks to tie mangalsutra in the bride's neck.

Geet feels him putting the mangalsutra around her neck and she felt the touch familiar. She snaps her eyes open and was shocked!!!!

Her groom has taken off his sehra from his face and was looking at her with a smile.

Geet's eyes widened with shock as she saw Maan sitting in front of her!!!

She blinked twice, thrice before the sight got registered in her mind and a smile came on her lips and she hugged him tightly in front of everybody.

Maan says teasingly "What happened wifey? Abhi abhi to tum keh rahi thi, ke tum mujhse pyaar nahin karti ho aur tumhara Maan mujhe jaan se maar dalega? Shadi hote hi apne Maan ko bhool gayi kya??!!" he said mischievously.

Geet hits him on his chest faking anger but didn't break the hug.

Maan says playfully "Geet, sab dekh rahe hain! I know achcha to mujhe bhi lag raha hai, but don't you think we should wait till our SR!!"

Geet breaks the hug feeling a bit embarrassed. She says "But how did this--"

Maan puts a finger on her lips and says "Shhh... Abhi nahin!! Pehle rasmein poori kar lein?"

And they did all the rituals of marriage.

After marriage, the pundit asks them to take the blessings of the elders.

Geet saw darji and rono standing in the corner. They go towards them to take their blessings.

Darji gave his blessings a bit reluctantly but rano was happy for her daughter's happiness.

And then they seek blessings of Dadima, who was very happy to get Geet as her grand daughter-in-law.

After all the post marriage rituals, they went for Delhi.

MAANEET IN CAR

Geet was so curious about how everything happened! It has been so hard for her to resist herself from asking about how did this happened, but she decided to wait some more time and have a little fun first with her husband!! She hasn't got any time alone with Maan till now since marriage.

This was the first time, they were all alone in the car after marriage.

After few minutes of drive, Maan says "What happened Geet? Why are you so silent??"

It was very unusual of Geet to be so silent. Geet was faking anger at Maan for not telling her that she was getting married to him. She has to go through so much in that time when he was probably enjoying her restlessness. So she decided to take revenge and fake anger.

Geet didn't reply and looks out of the window.

Maan stops the car and says "Geet, what happened?"

"Maan, ye aap mujhse poochh rahe hain!! Ye aap apne aap se poochhiye!!! Maan, aap jaante the na, ke meri kya haalat ho rahi thi, lekin fir bhi aapne sehra utha kar mujhe batana zaroori nahin samjha, ke sehre ke peechhe aap hain!! Aap jaante the na, ke main kitna dar gayi thi?! Lekin aapko meri fikar kiyun hogi??!! Aakhir hoon koun main aapki!!" she said faking anger. Maan says mischievously faking anger

"Ye achcha hai Geet, ek to maine tumhare liye itna sab kuch kiya, tumhare darji ke gundon ke saath lada, aur upar se tum mujhe hi suna rahi ho!! Pata hai mujhe kitni chot aayi hai?? Mera haal poochhne ki bajaaye, tum mujhe keh rahi ho, ke mujhe tumhari fikar nahin hai??" he said faking hurt.

Geet felt bad by hearing his words. She says "I'm sorry Maan. Aapko sach-much chot lagi hai? Aapne sach-much darji ke gundo se ladaai ki?? Dikhayiye mujhe kahaan lagi hai??" she looks at him trying to find any wound.

Maan controls his smile at Geet's innocence and says while touching his lips "Yahaan pe!!"

Geet realises that Maan is joking with her. She looks out while shying.

Maan smiles and says playfully "Geet, kya hua?? Dekho na, kitni chot lagi hai mujhe!! Aur tum baahar dekhe jaa rahi ho!" he looks up at the car's roof and says faking shock "Hey Babaji, kya zamaana aa gaya hai!!"

Geet looks back towards him and he continued "Logon ke liye jitna marzi kar lo, lekin kisi ko koi ehsaas hi nahin hai!!!" he peeks towards geet to see the effect of his teasing.

Geet narrows his eyes and says angrily "Achcha ji?? Aakhir aisa bhi kya kiya hai aapne mere liye?"

Maan says faking shock "Ghor kalyug hai Babaji, ghor kalyug!!! Geet, tum bhool gayi, maine tumse shadi ki hai! Woh ehsaan kam hai kya??"

Geet narrows her eyes and says "Kya??? Aapka matlab hai, ke sirf main aapse shadi karna chahti thi, aap nahin??"

"Ofcourse Geet! Varna mere peechhe to ladkiyo ki line lagi hui thi! Tum mera ehsaan samjho jo maine un sab ladkiyon ko chhod kar tum se shadi ki!!" now it was getting too hard for Maan to hold back his laughter.

"Haan! Tabhi to aap un sab ladkiyon ko chhod kar mere peechhe peechhe HP tak chale aaye the!! Aakhir maine hi to aapse kaha tha na, ke geet, main tumse bohat pyar karta hoon!!" she mimicks maan "Geet, main tumhare bina jee nahin sakta!!" and she adds sarcastically "Aur aapke saath zabardasti bhi maine hi shadi ki thi!! Hai na?"

Maan narrows his eyes and says "So you mean maine tumhare saath zabardasti shadi ki hai??"

"Nahin nahin! Maine ye kab kaha Maan??!! Zabardasti to maine aapka haath pakad kar phere liye the!!! I was the one who dragged you around the fire!!! Jab ke aap sab ke saamne cheekh rahe the chilla rahe the, ke aapko ye shadi nahi karni!!!" she said sarcastically while enjoying herself.

"Theek hai Geet! Agar aisi baat hai, to main tumhare saath aur koi zabardasti nahin karoonga!! Delhi jaate hi, you are free to do whatever you want!!" he said angrily and starts driving.

Now Geet felt very bad. She thought to pacify him by changing the subject and says after some time "Suniye?"

Maan's anger has also cooled down by now. He says "Hmm!"

"Maan, vaise aapne bataya nahin, ke darji hamari shadi ke liye maan kaise gaye?"

"Geet, maybe you are forgetting, that my name is Maan Singh Khurana!! And when Maan Singh Khurana wants something, nothing in the world can stop him!!!"

Geet smiles at him. She loves when he says his name like that.

He continues "Jo ladka tumse shadi karne aaya tha, wo to hamari hi ek company mein employee hai!!" he smirks at darji's stupidness. "When he heard my name, he was so scared to lose his job that he ran away from the mandap!! So darji had to agree to our marriage for his family honour!! I could have forced him to agree to this marriage too, but he is your darji, so I thought of being lenient to him and taking the easy way..."

Geet smiles at him lovingly but then remembers something and says while narrowing her eyes "Oh! To aap ne mujhse jhooth bola ke aapko darji ke gundo se ladte huye chot lag gayi hai!!"

Maan remembers what he has said few minutes ago and tries to say "Nahin Geet, aisa nahi hai!! Maine ladayi to ki thi... Um... Par... Wo..." he tries to think what to say.

Geet caught his lie and said "To ab aap mujhse jhooth bhi bolne lag gaye!!!" she fakes shock and says "Hey Babaji! Ab yehi din dekhna baki reh gaya tha!!! Maine ye kabhi nahi socha tha Maan, ke aap mujhse jhooth bolenge!!!" she fakes hurt.

Maan looks at her unbelievably and says to himself "Kya nautankibaaz biwi mili hai mujhe!!!" but Geet hears it.

"Kya?? Aapko lagta hai main nautanki kar rahi hoon?" she says faking hurt.

"Geet mujhe lagta nahi, mujhe yakeen hai!!" he says sarcastically.

Geet fakes anger and says "Maan is duniya ka dastoor hai, jaise ko taisa!! Nautankibaaz pati ko nautankibaaz biwi hi milti hai!!"

Maan was gonna say something but thought otherwise. He knew this can go on and on forever. So he kept mum and kept on driving.

When they are almost near to Delhi, Maan stops the car.

Geet asks "What happened Maan?"

Maan says while stretching his arms "Geet, I'm tired!! Let's just relax here for sometime and then we will go!"

Geet shrugs her shoulders nonchalantly and says "okay!"

She looks outside and after some time, she felt his gaze on her.

She looked towards Maan and saw him looking at her intensely.

She felt shy instantly and looked down while a slight smile played at the corner of her lips.

Maan holds her chin gently and makes her look up at him. He leans towards her to kiss her when Geet comes into playful mood (stupid Geet). She says "Maan, if you want to kiss me, you have to fulfil some of my demands first!"

Maan frowns and says "Demands??!!"

Geet says "Yes demands!! So my first demand is you to go on one knee and apologise to me!"

Maan narrows his eyes on her and gets back to his position.

Geet continues "You know shadi mein mujhe tadpaane ke liye... And my second demand is for you to accept that I was right and you were wrong!" Geet looks at him while enjoying herself "And my third demand is you to promise me that you will never argue with me!!" she finished.

Maan says sarcastically while crossing his arms on his chest "Anything else? As you are already being absurd!"

Geet's mouth opens in a perfect O at his remark. She says sarcastically "No, that's all!!" and she looks out angrily.

Maan smirks and says "Soch lo Geet! Kahin tumhari ye demands tumhein bhari na par jaaye!!"

Geet retorts angrily "Soch liya!! Ab to aap mere paas tab aayenge, jab aap meri demands poori karenge!!!"

He says casually "Alright Geet, baad mein fir ye mat kehna that I didn't warned you!!" and he starts driving.

Geet looks at him and makes a face and again looks outside.

After sometime, they reached home.

Dadima does all the post-marriage rituals of Khurana family.

And Annie takes Geet to Maan's room.

As Geet goes inside, she saw that Maan wasn't here yet.

She sits on the bed to relax as she was very tired from the journey.

After sometime Maan enters the room, and Geet instantly sits up.

Maan looks at her and hides his smile and says faking surprise "Geet tum yahaan?"

Geet frowns confusedly at his question. "Ji?"

"Oh, tumhe zaroor dadima ne yahaan bheja hoga, hai na? Ab bechari dadima ko bhi kya maloom!! Koi baat nahi Geet, tum ek kaam karo, tum yahaan sofe pe so jaao, aur main wahaan bed pe so jaoonga! Woh kya hai na, bed to mera hi hai na!!!" and he smiles sweetly at her.

Geet was still not understanding what he's talking about. She says confusedly "Ye aap kaisi baatein kar rahe hai Maan? Hum dono alag-alag kiyu soyenge??"

He says mischievously "Ab Geet jab tak main tumhari demands fulfil nahi kar deta, tum mujhe khud ko chhoone thodi na dogi!"

Geet looks at him shocked.

Maan was trying so hard not to laugh at her expression.

Now Geet was stuck in her own words. How can she tell him that she don't care about any damn demands when she herself has brought it up!! All she want is to be with him, but how should she tell him!!! He was right! Her 'demands' have backfired on her. But she couldn't say anything and gets up making a baby face and goes towards the couch frustratingly.

She says to herself "Geet, tu bhi na, namooni hai bilkul!! Log pair per kulhaari marte hain, lekin tune to kulhaari par hi pair maar liya!!! Ab sadti reh saari raat is sofe pe!!" she curses herself.

"Kuch kaha tumne?" Maan says while enjoying himself. Obviously he has heard her talking to herself.

Geet fakes smile and says "Kuch nahi!!"

And sits on the couch and tries to lie down.

After some time, Maan also lies on the bed but his ears towards Geet's self-talk.

Geet says to herself thinking Maan is sleeping "Ye lo!! Ye hain mere pati-dev!! Main yahaan pe itni uncomfortable position mein hoon, aur ye ghore bech ke so rahe hain!! Itna bhi nahin, ke aaj hamari SR hai, to biwi ko sorry keh kar mana lein!!!" she turns to be a little comfortable but in vain. The couch was very small for Geet. "Sorry na sahi, kam se kam itni insaaniyat to honi chahiye na, ke SR ke din biwi ko bed hi dede sone ke liye!!! Lekin nahin!!!" she again turns uncomfortably and scolds herself "Geet, tujhe bhi kya zaroorat thi, wo befizool ki demands rakhne ki?! Kiss hi to kar rahe the na tujhe? To ismein koun sa pahaad toot pada tha?? Aakhir pati hain wo tere!! Poora haq banta hai unka tujh par!! Lekin ab main kya karoon?? Agar sach mein unhone mujhe kabhi haath nahi lagaya to???"

She gets scared at her own thought. She thinks for a minute and says "Nahin Geet, you can't take chances!! Chhado! Main hi sorry keh deti hoon!! Kam se kam bed to mil jayega!!!" she smiles at the thought of getting rid of this uncomfortable sofa.

She didn't know that Maan has heard everything.

She gets up from the sofa and goes towards Maan. Maan instantly closes his eyes pretending to sleep.

Geet pokes his shoulder and says "Maan!"

But Maan pretends to be asleep and says while eyes still closed "Hmm."

Geet says a bit louder this time "Maan!!"

Maan opens his eyes and says faking surprise "Geet, kya hua? Sab theek to hai na??" and sits up in a half sitting position.

"Maan, mujhe aapse baat karni hai!" she said uncomfortably. All her courage flew away suddenly.

Maan says while hiding his smile "Bolo Geet!!"

"Umm... Wo... Main... Mujhe... Uh..." geet fumbles.

Maan picks up his eyebrows at her to continue.

At last Geet takes a deep breath and says "Mujhe us sofe pe neend nahi aa rahi!!"

Maan says while faking a serious face "Geet don't worry, aisa hota hai! Har nayi jagah pe pehle pehle neend nahi aati hai, magar fir aadat ho jaati hai. Don't worry, you will also get used to it!!" he said casually.

Geet makes a baby face realizing that he's planning on making her sleep on the sofa for forever.

She says innocently "But I don't want to get used to it!!! I want to sleep on the bed!" she said making a baby face.

Maan smirks and says "Sorry Geet, but that's not possible!!"

Geet says in baby anger "Why is it not possible? Maan maybe you are forgetting that we are married now! Aur ab ye bed jitna aapka hai, utna mera bhi hai!!!"

Maan smiles at her innocence and says "Sorry Geet, lekin abhi hum poori tarah se pati patni bane kahaan hain!! Abhi to hamne sirf rasmein nibhayi hai Geet!! Pati patni ka koi rishta kahaan establish kiya hai!!"

Geet feels shy at his words and looks down.

Maan saw her blushing and smiles inwardly and continues "Aur na hi mujhe lagta hai, ke aisa koi rishta hum establish kar payenge, you know in the light of your demands!!"

Geet's blush vanished with his words. She looks at him unbelievably. She says under her breath "Babaji, ye sach-much mard hi hai na??"

Maan says "Kuch kaha Geet?"

Geet fakes a smile and nods a no.

"So Geet, in that sense, meri har cheez sirf meri hai!! Jaise ke ye bed!!"

Geet feels disappointment with his words and was about to go back to her new 'comfortable' bed/sofa, when she heard him say "But I can still let you sleep on my bed," he pauses while Geet's eyes brightened up and she looks back at him smiling hopefully.

"But I have few demands you see!!!" he said with a victorious smile while Geet's smile wiped off her face.

He gets up from the bed and says "So, my first demand is that you will get on your knees and apologise to me!! You know, for not letting me kiss you!!"

Geet's eyes widens in shock while his smile got more prominent. He starts walking towards her.

"My second demand is that you will accept that I was right and you were wrong!!" he was enjoying Geet's expressions. "And my third demand is that you will never argue with me!!"

Geet felt tears stinging her eyes but she fought back the tears and was about to go onto her knees when he holds her arms and says "Geet pehle meri sari demands to sun lo!! I have more!!!"

Geet looks at him blankly and he continues "And my fourth demand is" and his voice changes into seriousness "that you don't have to fulfil any of those demands."

Geet looks at him surprised and he cups her face in his hands and says "And my fifth demand is that you will never apologize to me because in love there's no sorrys and no thankyous. My sixth demand is that you will always love me like this!! You will never leave me alone!!"

Geet hugs him and he continues "And my seventh demand is that you will always stay like this Geet!!! I love it when you fight with me, I love it when you tease me, I love the way you trust me, I love it when your cheeks turn bright red whenever I come close to you, I love the way you look at the ground while shying, I love the way you smile at me, I love the way you say my name, I love the way you hug me, I love the way you hide your face in my chest, I love YOU Geet.. Please always stay the way you are!!!"

Geet hides her face in his chest and says "I love you too Maan!!"

So after getting the promise to fulfil his demands, Maan Singh Khurana at last gives space to Geet Singh Khurana on his, oops scratch that, I mean 'their' bed...

So that's all for this OS... I have been really grateful to all of you for showering so much love on me so freely.

With this part, I dont know I was kinda scared.. I know this OS was mostly about Maan as Maan Singh khurana... I dont know how much I have been successfull in doing that... but it was really hard to make him MSK but still lovable...

When I started writing this part, I was gonna end it with maaneet's wedding on a romantic note. But dont know why, I was in such a jovial mood today that I wrote such a light hearted ending... I was scared of posting it, I had even thought of deleting it( trust me I had even selected it and was gonna hit the delete, but couldnt make myself do it). I couldnt cheat my readers.. so gave you whatever I wrote... hope you guys would like it...
