Dun dun dunnn! Pammi's going down!
('No she's not,' says the little voice in my head). And I believe it. I am too suspicious of you, Fozia, and too sure of Pammi's shaatir dimaag to believe that this will be her ultimate downfall.
"Manish feigned worry and anxiety"...this guy is up to something too. Whatcha hidin', Manishio?
A little something about the small revelation we get about Sasha...it just struck me of how different Sasha and Geet were in their approaches towards work. They are both driven, ambitious women and yet still poles apart. On one hand we have Sasha, who closeted her love and passion in favour of a persona that would allow her an
acceptable position in society and on the other hand we have Geet, who has rejected convention and societal norms in favour of pursuing her ambitions. And yet still, we have little glimpses of hope that they really can have it all with Sasha still being connected to what she loves through her job and Geet being capable of balancing the career she desires with the personal life of her choice. (I'm vaguely sensing that I've stopped making sense...)
For all their problems and insecurities, it is not the women in this story that are burdened by their shortcomings.
I really liked this chapter, Fozia.
