OS: Happy Friendship Day! (Geet & Maan Version)

"I have finally packed it!" Geet thought. Geet had run up and down many stores just to get it. This object will be the cause for her life changing experience. All her excitement troubled her so much that she could not get any sleep for that night. "Arrey Geet calm down your emotions and sleep. You have to go to school tomorrow. You have lots of exciting things to do tomorrow. You need enough sleep to party. Please Geet sleep sleep sleep" Geet kept repeating in her mind. Eventually sleep overtook her and she slept.

"Geet! Wake up and get ready quickly.. Dev and Maan are already on their way here to fetch us to college!" Nandhini screamed at Geet. Nandhini's screaming did no use. Hence, Nandhini threw a jug of water on to Geet face. At the very next moment, Geet got up screaming at the top of her voice. Nandhini immediately took her hand and covered Geet's mouth to muffle her voice. "Geet, please do not scream and make ma and pa come here. Please go and get ready in 5 mins. Our friends are already on their way to pick us up." Nandhini said. "But Nandhini, it is not yet time for us to leave. They usually come at a later time. Today they are an hour early. Why is that so?" Geet asked her sister in confusion. "Geet! Today is friendship day na, so we are going early to exchange gifts with the rest of our friends. How can you forget all this? Especially when you were busy packing gifts yesterday!" Nandhini asked amused.

As her sister mentioned about gifts, Geet started to day dream about how her day will turn out. She only realized that she was standing there when her sister tapped her shoulder. "Di, I will go and get ready in 5 mins." Geet dashed off before her sister could start questioning her. Geet got ready in the speed of lightening and she quickly packed her bag for college and also kept all her gifts into a big bag to carry over. All the gifts she had bought went into the big bag except the special one. That particular gift went securely into her bag. Just as she was done with her packing, she saw Dev's car outside her house. "Nandhini! Come lets go. They are already here." she said.

Both of them quickly settled into the car and Dev took off the car and started to college. Geet had a terrible time sitting in the car. She could not focus on anything. All she could ever think of was about the special gift for her special friend. Finally they arrived to their college. Geet immediately opened the car and got down to end the torture within her. She quickly picked her bag and her big bag of gifts up and walked over to her clique's usual hangout place. Geet did look like a Santa Claus with the gifts in her hand. She spotted all her friends already gathered at the place. She ran towards them, placed her big bag of gifts down and hugged each of them present there. Slowly, Nandhini, Dev and Maan also joined them as well. Everyone started taking out their gifts and giving it out to one another. Geet was about to take her gifts as well when she felt someone tap her shoulder. She turned around and saw Maan. Somehow she started blushing and she became shy. "Geet could you please come with me to the pond side?" Maan asked politely. "Ji. I will come there once I give out my gifts." "Geet, my matter now is more urgent than your gift giving. So please can we go now itself?"Maan begged her. "Nandhini. I need to go to the wash room. Could you help me take my gifts and distribute it to everyone. Their names are written on the boxes. Thank you so much!" saying that Geet quickly started walking to the pond side with Maan following behind her.

Once at the pond side, "Geet, please tell me the answer to the question I asked you a week ago, now." Maan pleaded. Geet blushed and took her gift out from her bag and showed it to Maan. "Maan, Happy friendship day and your answer.." Geet said it almost softly. Maan eyes opened widely and he was in a state of shock. "Geeet" He stammered before Geet could complete her sentence. He opened the gift to see a beautiful notebook and a pen. There was a picture of them on the cover of the notebook. And "A Special Friend For A Lifetime" was written on the cover.

With teary eyes, "Okay Geet if you think that we only can be friends and nothing beyond, I will respect it. But always remember you have a very special place in my heart." Geet burst out into laughter. Maan wiped his tears and looked at her questioningly. "Maan, I never did say no. Why are you assuming things on your own.? Maan I do not know how to tell it but yes I love you and I want to be with you. But you are always my special friend first before anything else. So this explains my gift to you. A special gift for a special friend who is my special loved one in my life." Geet said this and shyly looked downwards. She did not know where and how she got so much of courage to actually confess her feelings to him. Maan did a small little dance in his head and approached towards Geet and hugged her. "Geet I love you too my special friend and lover and sweetheart. So be my girlfriend?" Geet simply nodded her and snuggled to Maan.
