At Midnight

Geet still was not believing that maan was in her house, next to her room. She was restless, she was curious to calm her fasten heart, she wanted to believe that it was true. If this was true then she wanted to hear him, she wanted to hear his breathing sound to fill her heart with peace. Today's little encounter with him , brought a stormy wave inside her heart. She was not able to sleep anymore. So she decided to check him, only once babaji.. if he was truly here, please babaji let me check , it was not my dream but real.

She stood up and went to his room which was next to her. She touched his door with shaking hand. She was feeing his touch on this door. She caressed it for few times then she opens it little. It was dark inside. She could not able to see properly yet she stepped guessing where bed was. Her mind was stopping her as it was wrong to peep inside anyone else room but her heart was helpless. It was saying , this time wont come again, having your love of life , near you. save this memory for ever geet.. you will miss it your whole life' "

she was totally helpless in love yet she could not do anything but preserve these memory in her heart forever. So she went ahead.. she was going nearer the bed when suddenly the door behind opened forcefully and light went switched on.. geet turned back and shocked to see maan was standing there, crossing his arm on his chest. Geet started feeling nervous and fiddling her duppatta which did not go unnoticed by maan. he smirked.. Somewhere he liked her nervousness as it was for him, yet his ego said you are winning maan.

Maan came nearer and shouted " what are you doing here, at this time. Did you think, I am some thief and will steal your most preserved treasures.. haan' ' he said this with double meaning and smirked. Geet was heading down as she was sacred and embarrassed as well. Maan was stepping toward her and she was going back with trembling leg. She was afraid what if bauji see them like this as door was open and alas.. mohindar saw them.

Mohindar called " kya hua geet ' as he heard maan shouting on someone. He hurriedly came inside room and saw geet was there in maan room. He saw them confused. maan turned and saw mohindar, who was seeing geet with angry and bemused look. He looked geet who was now more nervous and scared. Maan went to mohindar and said,

" wo.. uncle ji , adi called me that he has came back so I was thinking to go him. So I switched on lights and geet came here, asking me, if I need anything. You please dont get angry on her. "

Mohindar- but then why you were shouting

Maan- wo.. sound was not coming properly .. that's why ' maan genuine expression made mohindar calm. He went geet and caressed her head saying " thik kiya geet.. chal jaa ab so jaa' " geet nodded and left looking maan with thanking eyes. Her eyes was little blurred and maan could see it. She came back in her room She was feeling stupid going there, at this time without thinking consequence, but maan saved her. She felt good , thought maan was really a nice guy. She was feeling special as maan lied for her.

Here adi reached guest house but maan was not there. He called maan and came to know that maan was at geet home. Maan said him to come back and also brought his (maan's) luggage as he is decided to stay with adi. Maan said adi that site was closer from here so he will live with him . but adi knew why maan was eager to stay with him.

Maan started his jeep apologizing mohindar for everything. This gesture of maan made a soft corner in mohindar s heart as he knew how big personality maan was. Still he was saying sorry was something, mohindar melted for him.. Before leaving maan eyes started searching for geet but dint find her. Least he knew that she was looking him, hiding , from window. She wanted to go front of him but fearing with her Exploding heartbeat. What if bauji came to know my restlessness, what if maan heard my loud beats.. " nahi babaji.. mai unke saamne nahi ja sakti .." so she decided to peep him from her room. She and mohinder still dint know that maan would live next to them, with adi.

Maan reached adi home. Adi was restlessly waiting for him as he was very angry. He knew maan was playing game with him. He sent him guest house so he could enter geet home. Adi dint like this game anymore. As maan entered adi's home , adi blasted on maan. Though adi was very calm nature type person but this game of maan took his all sanity. He asked why maan was hell bent of spoiling geet life. But maan was maan. he was old player so did not understand depth of this matter. He replied adi that if geet is as innocent as he thinks, he will not even touch her. But if she self, eager to be with me ,, I would go to any extend' adi knew how stubborn maan was so he decided to tell geet everything as he could not see , a innocent life is being spoiled in front of him.
