Now the days and specially mornings are bit gloomy for geet '.she never had this kind of feeling that will make her loose herself'..her day starts quietly without any nagging from her mother..she has became unusually quiet'.even started to avoid her friends..but when you are with the person who knew you better than yourself then you can't escape from them'same was the case with her'whether it was meera or kritika and now gaurav'. Next day geet was all ready to go to college'she was dressed in a cherry red short kurti and legging with her hair half tied'.. looking absolutely stunning'.maan has definitely changed her 'she has started to wear that she somewhere in her knows that he likes'or he wishes to see her in '. 'she was sitting in the garden with her books in her lap '. Earphones in her ears pretending to listening to songs and looking thoroughly at the books'.

suddenly she saw him 'As she saw him, a smile came itself on her face. Geet greeted him,

Geet:"Hi, gaurav."

Gaurav:"Hi, geet ." We smiled and greeted each other''.

We went inside the college and sat on the terrace. I recalled last time when maan and I sat here. I cleared my mind because I didn't want to cry in front of him.

Gaurav asked, "Now tell me. What happened to you?"

Geet:"What?"

Gaurav:"Please, don't hide from me. We know each other very well from when we don't know about ourselves. So tell me the truth'.geet you know that we are friends first then cousins'so clear your mind mind here in front of me '."

Geet: gaurav is right. I can hide my worries from whole world but it's impossible to hide from him. However, I never told him. I know the result'.. he will first of all not believe me and if by default he believed me than his reaction towards me and maan could not be imagined '.he will definitely held maan responsible'when I am also at fault'..

she changed the topic,

Geet:"Where is my present?"

Gaurav: "No, first, tell me the reason'.then you can have your present'.."

geet deliberately changed the topic '.

Geet:"You know the syllabus of Degree College. Therefore, it's burden of study. Why are you asking? Can I tell a lie to you???"

Geet asked with a cute puppy face'..

Gaurav: the probability is less. But you know the punishment telling a lie in front of the judge."

Geet: "You are not judge in front of me. Now, give me my gift."

He took off Tiffin from his bag and gave to her. Geet asked with confusion,

Geet: ( with a questioning gaze)'what is in this?"

Gaurav: "Your favorite ladoos. Especially, mom made for you. You like it."

Geet: "Yeah, however, it is sent by Mammi ji'so why are you looking here 'hiding her box.."

Gaurav: "If you will eat more, you will be fat. Who will marry you?"

Geet: "Shut up'..getting annoyed'do you think I am fat'..wait let me call mumma'"

He smiled and said,

Gaurav:"Ok!!!! ''call'.well you can never change geet'Let us go in canteen... I am hungry."

Geet: "Oh! Really, if you will eat more, no girl will marry you. Because you are fat enough and looks like a ball itself'..geet said in order to tease him'."

Gaurav: "Don't worry. I have already selected her'...so stop worrying about me and stop teasing me"

Geet:"What? You are telling me now."

Gaurav:"Can we go? Otherwise I will die. We can talk there."

Geet smiled and they went to canteen and saw maan who was sitting with his friends. He saw towards her but as she looked towards his direction, he ignored. There wasn't any other table so they have to sit next to his table. Geet wanted to run from there but gaurav was also with her'.

Gaurav: "So, what happened to you? Where is your smile?"

Geet:"Now, you are not hungry. It's college canteen so you have to serve yourself."

Gaurav:"Yeah." He said and stood up.
Geet:"Excuse me. You are with me so you should ask me what I will take."

Gaurav:"I know what you will take. You are with me so you you have to go with my choice today'.."

He smiled and went. I looked again towards maan. However, he did not look towards me. I was lost in my thoughts.

after some time she heard some noise in canteen. When saw, she was shocked. maan and gaurav were arguing. maan's shirt was full with stains of the food.

she went near them and asked,

geet: "What happened?"

gaurav: "I don't know how he came in front of me and accidently food fell on his shirt. I am saying 'Sorry'."

"When your mind is not here..."maan was saying in anger but geet cut off his sentence, "Hold on..maan ... He does n't did it intentionally'. It is by mistake. When gaurav is saying 'sorry' to you, what is your problem? its not a big deal. Why are you creating scene here?"

maan was absolutely in a fit of anger and her words were adding fuel to it'.when he answered her back in a harsh tone'..

Maan: "Yeah, nothing is a big deal for you. Firstly, you told a lie. It was not big deal for you. Now, your boyfriend have gotten my shirt stained. It is not big deal for you. Am I Right, no."

Geet:"Do you know what are you saying? He is my cousin. Before saying anything, you should confirm that you are right or not. Why am I telling to you? You never give a chance to explain anyone. If you want to excuse him, it is your choice. Let's go, gaurav."

Gaurav asked, "What is it? Do you know him?"

geet said with anger, "We can talk outside."

As we took a step, maan held her hand and said with guilt ridden eyes, "So sorry,geet. I didn't knew that he is your cousin. What can I do when I cannot see you with anyone else. When I came across your lie, I thought you do not hold any feeling for me the way I feel for you. I tried many times to control my emotions but I failed. Please. 'Sorry'."

geet was in tears hearing his simple yet love filled confession'and said with tears,

geet: "No, You don't need to say 'sorry'. It's my fault. I should have told you earlier."

the students were gaping at them looking at the emotional scene '.a confession'that too before valentine'when gaurav commented and disturbed the love birds

Gaurav: , "Hey, What emotional and touching scene . Control your emotions'..you two'afterall It's college canteen."

We saw towards other students who were staring us. We smiled.

gaurav: continued, "If both of your performance is finished, can I have my lunch. Moreover, your name is maan . Am I right?

(maan nodded in acceptance)

Gaurav:How do you know my sis?"

Geet wiped her tears with her hands and said with a smile,

Geet: "Pleaseee, gaurav, are you not hungry?"

They sat around a table. Maan and geet told their short and sweet story to gaurav and enjoyed their lunch. Geet was smiling by heart after all those days. After finishing the lunch, gaurav went to his meeting.

They came in college garden and sat down beside to each other.

Maan: , "Where is my birthday's gift?"

geet told him,

Geet: "Sorry, You are late because your birthday was some days ago."

Maan: "I know but you can tell me what my gift was?"

Geet: "Yeah, it was a card and showpiece. (she took out a card from her bag and gave him.) It is card and Showpiece is in my home. Open it. I wrote for you some words."

Maan:"Really."

she nodded and he opened that and read...

"Hey

maan,

Happy birthday and may return this day in your life many times. I thought what I write. Finally, I chose the words for you.

We meet many strangers daily but some are very different from others. A thought of them is always in our mind. We repeatedly meet them by accident and by our efforts. They become a part of our life. Without them, our life is not complete.

Now, you became an important part of my life. When I do not talk with you, I feel that I had missed very important part of my day. I thought many times what this feeling is. Now, I know.

I do not know that you think about me like that way or not. I want to ask you a question. If you want, you cannot give the answer and I will not ask for the reason. "Could we be a couple?"

My heart was beating fast. He read it once again and saw towards me. When he saw towards me, my heart stopped beating for a second.

Maan:, "I don't know what to say you. I need some time to think about it."

she nodded and they spent a better time there. she was scared what his decision would be'will he accept her proposal..or will deny her'.she could feel butterflies In her stomach... However, she said she would not ask the reason so have to wait for his answer.

It had passed some days but he did not give answer of her question.meera and Kritika suggested her that she should ask him his answer but she denied.


After a month, maan said that he wanted to meet her at a restaurant 'that was fortunately her favourite'. She was to go there.

geet went inside. He was already waiting for her. He greeted her with smile. Geet replied him 'with a beautiful smile'.,

Geet: "Hello."

they ordered their lunch and had a nice and healtly talk'about all the things except his answer'geet didn't ask him''not even once'.

After finishing the lunch, maan grabbed some roses'.one by one and gave to her'.they were seven in number, gave to her. she took the red flowers.. from his hand. Geet was surprised what will be his next step'.. He held her hand and said, "You asked me a question. I wanted to give the answer by different way. By the way, you know my answer... It is 'Yes'. I love you until death."

Geet cannot believe what he said to her'.. Two tears fall from her hazels'.. He wiped the tears from her eyes with his fingers and said, "Please don't cry. Otherwise they think (He pointed towards others who were there) I hurt you'' or are you crying coz you didn't like my answer he said naughtily'."

Geet smiled and said, "I love you too." It was the best lunch of my life. Now, I love my stranger'...the stranger whom I was planning to meet in the rain 'the stranger who made me feel something that I didn't felt till now'..the stranger whom I want all my life'and kissed his hand'..

Maan was smiling hearing her heart out in the form of words'.'. and said'and your stranger promise you to be in every part , every moment , every phase of your life'will love you till his last breath '''

Both were in a new heaven of their newly found love '.who knew that two strangers could meet like this and would fall for each other'''
