Hey all'Reya is backkk. I know I say that after a long break and then I vanish again but what to do. Life gets so crazy at times. But I will try to do better with updates through the summer vacation.
So here a new OS I started, I might make it a SS depending on the response and how I write the story along, this is only part 1.

Geet sipped her black coffee and focused on the screen again. She stilled her fingertips against her laptop keys, frustrated with herself. Her mind wasn't on her story characters, she wasn't living with her characters like she should be; her mind was elsewhere. Giving up, she snapped her laptop shut.
Whenever she was struggling as a writer, she did what she inspired her to be a writer: she would read. Ever since she was a young child, she loved reading; she liked to lose herself in another world. Usually the world the words would create would be much better than hers was as an orphan. Left at doorstep of the orphanage as a newborn, Geet had no trace of who family was nor did she ever try to find out. She bounced from one foster home to next until she was eighteen and was free to live life on her own terms. And so she made books her world because they were only comfort as she grew up. Fours years in college studying literature with a full scholarship and after two years of writing: Geet Handa had a book published, one that was doing well.
Grabbing a soft blanket, she settled herself on the rocking chair with a sappy romantic novel. Doing her best, she tried to read. A few pages later, she slapped the book close. Bloody hell, her mind just wouldn't focus like she wanted.
Maybe, maybe I should try calling him again
She dashed to desk to grab her cellphone before she would waste more time contemplating. It was true she was angry, okay, maybe 'angry' was too mild. But she hadn't heard his voice all day and that was slowly killing her.
She let out a silent curse when his cellphone went straight to voicemail, again, like it had been for the whole day. And what made her so upset ? She had no idea why his personal number was going to voicemail. How else she suppose to be get in touch when he is so far in London ?
Hi, you have reached Maan Singh Khurana. Please leave a message and I will get back to you soon.
Beep
Oh Babajiii'What do I have to do to get you to pick up your phone Maan ? I have been leaving messages all day long, I am getting kind of worried now baby.. I hope everything is okay business wise and with Meera. By the way, you can tell her that I have been calling her too but no luck. Anyway, come back to me soon baby, love you, and for Babaji's sake, call your fiance back.
Geet hit the end button with a sigh. She felt restless, anxious and worried. Somehow, things weren't adding up. She sat back on the rocking chair, closing her eyelids willing herself to be optimistic.
She woke up with a startle to see her phone was ringing. Realizing that she must have dozed off for a while on the chair, she rubbed her eyes before picking off her lap excited that it might be Maan but it was Adi. Geet wasn't disappointed. Adi was Maan's associate and had accompanied him on the business trip.
'Hi Adi, how are you ?"
"Hello Geet, I am fine. But how are you ? Have you heard from Maan Sir ?"
"If only Babaji would be so kind, I have been calling him all day today but the idiot wouldn't pick up.", she complained.
"But Geet, we landed early morning, Maan Sir has been in Delhi for a day now."
Geet was shocked, surprised and a little hurt. Why would Maan ignore her calls all day long especially if he was back in Delhi ?
"But Adi, you two weren't suppose to be back for another week yet." Geet tried to ignore the odd feeling that was in heart.
"It's not my place to tell you Geet, Whatever the reason is, you will have to hear it from Maan Sir."
Geet stood up letting the blanket pool at her feet. "Please Adi, just tell me what is wrong ? Is Maan okay? Or Meera ? is Meera alright?"
"Geet, I am sorry'.i can't"
Geet clutched her phone tighter as tears pooled in her eyes for the fear of the unknown, "Please Adi, I beg you. Please tell me."
Adi sighed on the other end, "Geet, I wish I didn't have to tell you this. But, Maan Sir...Maan Sir got married to Meera two days ago and---"
"Excuse me ?", she asked, unable to believe her ears. This must be some sick joke the trio was playing with her. Maan and Meera were always the pranksters, they must have dragged poor Adi in it too. "Adi, this is not funny. I know Maan and Meera are sitting right there trying to hold their laughter in. Just give the phone to Maan."
"I wish I could tell you this was just another typical MnM prank but this is true---"
The phone slipped out of her hand and hit the floor with a thud. Maan Sir got married to Meera two days ago. Adi's words kept ringing her ears taunting her, she shook her head in disbelief. Her Maan would never do that to her, Meera could never do this to her. Maan and Meera have been best friends their whole life, Geet always respected their relationship but they couldn't do this to her.
Her knees gave out on her as she sank to the floor, her body shaking with the sobs she was trying to hold in. He couldn't do this to her. They had a six-year relationship, an honest relationship. Maan couldn't betray her trust like this.
Geet picked up her cellphone, which had died. Throwing that aside, she went towards the home phone and dialed Maan's cellphone again and cursed when it went to voicemail again. Not bothering to leave another message, she gave the clock a glance. It was one in the morning; it was far too late to call his residence number. It was rude to wake his family up. To hell with it, she thought throwing her cordless back on the table.
She needed to speak to Maan, she needed to hear the words from him. She wiped the last of her tears away with the back of her hand. Her Maan would never betray her, she knew that but yet fresh tears burned her eyes. Grabbing her car keys, she threw a shawl around her shoulders before she rushed out. She was going to find out the truth. If Adi's words were true, then Maan Singh Khurana should be man enough to say it to her face.
So, how was it ? should I go on ? I could finish it up with another part or make it into a 3-4 part SS. So let me know.
