Geet was standing near the window of her room. Her room, yes it was her n Maan's room, their room. She had been imprisoned here till evening, while Maan was in Maansi's room putting her to sleep n Rajji was with Annie helping her in getting ready. Standing there she was watching her parents running here n there along with Dadimaa who was strictly instructed by Rano to sit on the couch & check the arrangements. They were all preparing for Maan n Geet's reception party which will be followed by Annie's Bidaai.

Annie did get married to Arjun after so many persuasions principally by Maan reminding her of Geet's forfeit n that her happiness lies in Annie's. Annie agreed on one condition that she'll leave her house only after Geet's arrival to which Arjun agreed gladly. So since their marriage Arjun n Annie had been staying in KM, especially being well aware of Maan's state.

Geet felt her vision getting blurred as tears clouded her eyes realizing the enormity of love her husband possesses for her. Even in her absence, he had taken care of each n every relation of hers. He had fulfilled all her duties towards her parents n Rajji. She was besieged seeing the bond he shared with her mother. It was as if her mamma knows him more than what she knows about her or Rajji. She felt miserable thinking of the painful period he had gone through that she had given him knowingly or unknowingly. She always wanted happiness for him even if it costs all her smiles but what her one verdict gave him was all grief, pain, anguish n aloofness.

Her remorseful thoughts were halted by Rano who had come to her room to check on her

Geet puttar.. kya hua?? Abhi tak ready nahi hui.. sab theek hai naa?? Rano said while walking towards Geet

Haa mamma.. bus ready hone hi jaa rahi thi.. Geet said while trying to hide her emotional state. But how could she, especially from her own mother.

Kya baat hai Geet?? Rano said making Geet face her

Mamma .. I m sorry.. Mere ek decision ne aap sabko kitna dukh diya hai.. Geet said pouring all her emotions in front of her mother sobbingly

U r right Puttar.. but the one who suffered the most is .. your Maan.. somewhere v all got a support in him.. he tried to take your place whenever v needed u..

Although v were all there for him but still he was all alone..

Mamma .. I know what he must had gone through.. all because of me.. my one wrong decision.. I can never forgive myself.. His happiness was always my priority but look what I did?? I can never.. no more words could make their way out as she fell down on the floor crying her heart out while Rano rushed to cocoon n console her daughter

Maan who just about to enter their room went numb after listening to what his Mishty had been thinking all through out. He did sense her being disturbed n withdrawn. Gathering all his courage, he composed himself n knocked the room door.

Startled by the knock both the ladies straighten themselves n plastered a smile ensuring not to alarm the intruder.

Maan entered the room smilingly while Rano placed a soft peck on Geet's forehead n caressed Maan's cheek lovingly before making a quick exit, shutting the doors behind. Geet looked away not able to take his intense gaze in pretext of getting ready but Maan being quicker held her wrist to halt her movements.

Maan.. Geet said looking at the floor as she still wasn't able to meet his gaze

He turned her to face him n lifted her chin up to look deep into her eyes. But as always, words were never required between them to convey emotions. Coming closer he took her lips sealing with his own mouth. It was their first intimate moment after those dreadful years of separation. It felt no less than heaven for both of these yearning souls. But even then there wasn't anything intimate about the kiss. There was no passion, no aggression. It only conveyed their pure love, their longing, the satisfaction to have each other close n a promise to never let go again.

They broke apart panting, drugged with the feel of its soul ' mate. Geet's eyes welled up n she couldn't hold back further

I m sorry Maan.. I m..

Shhh.. Jaan..

Nahi Maan .. I always wished happiness for u.. but I was the one who gave u ..

Jaaan..

Look what had I done??? I left u alone when u needed me the most.. I m sorry Maan..

Geet.. shhh..

Wo dard jise aapse hamesha dur rakhna chaha, jaane anjaane meine aapko wohi dard diya.. I can never forgive myself.. never..

Jaan.. galti to meri thi.. meine tumhe is duniya mei akele chor diya.. mere paas to sab the.. rone ke liye mamma ki godh thi .. par tumne to sab kuch akele chupchap saha hai..

I should've been there when Maansi arrived but I wasn't .. I failed Geet.. Maan Singh Khurana failed Geet.. aapni zindgi ko dhundhne mein.. I failed .. I m sorry Jaan..

Maan.. please.. I was the one who left u.. I didn't tell u anything..

Since when did u need to tell me anything Geet??

Both cried their hearts out clinging onto each other. Seeking for forgiveness from each other, promising never to apart.
