Geet who was standing near Maan holding few reports of Dadimaa, became numb listening those words. Her world shattered, ground slipped under her feet, as if somebody has snatched her life, her soul out of her body, tears blurring her vision. She was jerked into reality listening to Maans pleadings.

Maan was terrified looking at Dadimaa's condition, yelling at nurses and doctors but of no use. Dadimaa was hell bent upon to take his consent for marrying Sameera. Geet looked at dadimaa who was breathing heavily but still wasn't willing to give in and then at Maan who was continuously begging helplessly to Dadimaa.

Nahi Maan… it was just a whisper but Geet knew she won't budge

Maan was breaking down each second, begging, assuring to talk about whatever she wants but dadimaa in that condition also was nowhere near listening to his pleas.

He'll do….Both Dadimaa and Maan looked at the source of voice

Geet couldn't understand herself that from where has she got the strength to say those words. Words which would shatter everything she has, her life, her world, her Maan. But she knew what dadimaa meant for Maan, she is his everything, he would give away even his last breath to save her life.

Maan froze listening to those words, couldn't comprehend anything, just kept staring at Geet, trying to read those eyes that were clouded with tears making an attempt to hide the pain it has caused but failing miserably coz she knew that he can read her like an open book as always.

Even if breaking down from inside, Geet tried to mask her pain and said those soul – ripping words again

Dadimaa he'll do, whatever you want him to, I promise. But please aap ab ye zid chor dijiye.

Dadimaa looked at Maan who stand numb not able to grasp a single word, not believing his own ears. Dadimaa took his silence as acceptance and agreed to start the treatment.

Geet left the room not able to meet his questioning eyes. Maan came back to his senses realizing his soul leaving and rushed out, caught her before she could leave without answering.

Geet… how could think like that??? That's not possible.. no one can come between us.. no one

Maan couldn't take it anymore and hugged her knowing that even she is in the same pain as he is. He knew, he means the world to her as she is for him.

Geet look at me.. we'll look for some other option.. I m sure Dadimaa will understand

Jaan.. I can't do this..he cupped her face pleading her stop all this, trying to make her understand that whatever she is thinking is not possible. He took her shivering lips in his own sharing all pain her hearts were going through, trying to sooth her n make her understand. Forgetting about the surroundings they kissed each other conveying the bond they share. Thankfully they were standing in a corner near of the waiting area & as the visiting hours were in the evening, their wasn't anyone to disturb them.

Geet parted with one hand on Maans cheek, looking lovingly, pleadingly in his eyes

But that broke the last string. His eyes were red with anger, frustration, pain, fear.

Geet fell down on the floor crying not able see him in that condition. She would give away her life smilingly for his happiness, and here she is the one causing him this heart wrenching pain.
