Chapter 27
Geet was ready to go.When kids saw her going out they came running behind her.
Mannat :Mommi we r also coming with u ? (she shouted)
Geet :No U can't come with mommi u both hav to stay back at home with Daddi Maa (she showed her false anger)
Rehaan : Plz Mommi take us with u na...we also want to say sorry to Pa...(he made pitty face)
Mannat : Mannat did wrong Mommi...I know u r also angry with Mannat...peeezzze Mommi sorry me ...and I also want to say sorry to Maan Uncle...(she pulled her pallu)
Geet : No u r not coming..Let me talk to him...He haven't eaten any thing...aap unke saamne jaa kar fir se unko irritate krogay..he is angry with me also..Let me feel sorry first (she cleared)
Rehaan :Yes Mommi ..Pa is hungry...Unko headache hogi nahi to...We ll wait Mommi ..(he grabbed her hand)
Geet : Thats my boy...Mannat learn from him..how much good boy my son is
Mannat looked at both and climbed up couch to say some thing.
Mannat : Every one says I m lik Maan Uncle and Rehaan is like u...Mommi sach main kya apne humme exchange kiya tha hospital main...u said me na...on my admission day...I not seem ur daughter (she made sad face)
Rehaan :Look Mommi she is feeling jealous ..u love me more...(he showed Mannat his tongue )
Geet :Rehaan Mannat ...Mommi loves u both alot..okey don b stubborn...I don't like this..Be good...(she held both kids in her arms)
Mannat :No mommi...I m good girl..But Maan uncle is not good...Aap Rehaan ki mommi ban gayi...he loves u so much...Per Maan Uncle ..Mannat k'Mere Papa Maan' nahi hai...so I ll not feel sorry to him. Hum bhi waise he karegay jaise Maan uncle karte hai...(she wiped her running nose and eyes with her arm and ran away from there)
Geet : Mannat sunno beta...(she was about to follow her but when she saw tiffin.She decided to meet Maan first...asking Daddi to take care of Mannat and Rehaan)
A lil girl few minutes back she wanted to feel sorry ..but at same time why she dropped her decision.Why she is such . Geet was trying to understand her girl's hidden feelings.Is she really missing her father even after giving every thing to her...She has every relation then why she wants a father.Why she is looking her father in Maan...Even when Maan denied her...A girl who always us 'Hum' instead of 'Main' why she is sp much attached to term ' mere' 'Mere Papa Maan'
She was thinking this when driver puts break in front of KC.She came out of her own thoughts.She had been scared ..how to face Maan...But why Maan is as important for her as Mannat...Where she is every thing for her.Why she left her crying daughter behind for him.Why she cares for him.
It was about 8: 25 when she reached inside administrative area of KC.This office is not new for her.But circumstances r different.She comes here every other day.Due to business reasons...First of all to fight with Maan to make her 'Dibbewali' (food parcel provider). Now same Dibbewali came here with Dibba not to fight but to feel sorry
Addi saw Geet coming toward Maan's cabit.He was shocked what gonna next .Becoz every time when Maan meets Geet meeting starts with fight. Today when staff is yet to be there..this fight may be moe worse...as in front of people Maan tries to control .
Geet : Addi Sir Maan is inside cabin ? (she said in low pitch )
Addi :Ya he is...but what u r doing here...he is fuming...not showing but from inside..I can understand.(confused)
Geet : He came without taking any thing..Sinus patient hai...kuch khaya nahi bimaar pad jaae-gay...Ek to wo hum sabse waise he gussa hai (she made baby face)
Addi : R u sure he gonna hav some thing from u...
Geet :Let me try before clients come.Agar kuch time lag gaya to plz handle clients for some time and keep them away from his cabin...(she instructed Addi without waiting for his response she walked away ) Hey Babaji plz help me (she thought and pushed door handle of cabin)
Maan thought Addi is there so without looking at her Digging his head in file he said : 'Addi give me file on the couch ..that blue one '
Geet looked at couch .She picked file up and handed to Maan. Tingling of Geet's kanghans made him realize not Addi but she is here
Maan :Oh Miss Handa..u r here (he said without looking at her )
He can be such normal she never expected.A person who don know to be calm.He is too much calm now.Not ever yelled at her...Why is he alrite.
Geet : Wo Maan its breakfast for u..plz hav some thing..U hav to take medicine...around 9 so its necessary to take some food (she said hesitatingly)
Maan : Geet why u come here.I need nothing..plz go back home my clients r on the way (he says pressurizing his words)
Geet : I know u r angry with me and kids but plz Maan forgive me once...I m sorry.Even kids r feeling guilty (she was about to cry)
Maan :Me not angry with any one ..plz leave me alone.Go back kids ll b waiting for u .(he got up from chair and moved bit away from her who was stading next to his chair )
Geet :No I m not going any where ..jab tak aap breakfast nahi karte...I know this is your new style to be angry but don b angry with food and kids...I m responsible for every thing..plz Maan (Geet grabbed Maan's shoulders unknowingly what she is doing)
He wanted to run away from her.But with every passing moment she was coming close to her.To avoid her for this moment to hav breakfast is only solution for him.So he got ready for that.Even she was amazed she hadn't to struggle alot for making him ready.
Maan he was really hungry .Geet had bit more then which Maan usually takes but he also ate that part also.She was happy at least what may be reason.He is not hungry now.She was in her thoughts looking at him..Is every one rite it is really hard to understand him and her lil girl Mannat..IS she really behaves as him.
She came out of her thoughts when her phone buzzed around 8:55. Nakul called her too much disturbed.Maan realized shrinking brows of Geet means some thing is wrong.She was much disturbed. Without saying any thing she rushed toward car.Even not let Maan speak a word
Maan: Why she ran in such a way ...(he thought but before he could phone her or home to find out things his clients came)
Meeting ended at good not around 9:30 as Mr Kapoor was in hurry.so he left just after meeting.Almost all staff has been arrived and was on work,His phone buzzed call from Nakul's phone.
Maan : Hello
But instead of Nakul Rehaan was on line.Sobbing
Rehaan :Papa...(he started to cry )
Maan got scared.As Geet also ran in hurry.Now his boy is in tears but why .Some thing wrong.
Maan : Mera bacha...kya hua beta...r u alrite...(shocked he said)
Rehaan: Papa Mannat fell from stairs..usko chot lagi hai bahut she is in blood Papa...(he started to sob)
Maan :What beta..where is she...aur kon hai apke sath phone do unko
Rehaan handed phone to Nakul.They were at hospital.Geet left angry Mannat back at home.When Daddi asked her to hav some thing for breakfast she ran out of her room sobbing and her foot got stuck in carpet and she lost her balance...she slipped from stairs
She had severe injuries.No one was in condition to call him.Even no one thought of it.It was Rehaan who called Nakul to dial for Maan as he was missing him in this time too much
Maan asked Nakul to take care of Rehaan and all and rushed toward hospital.He reached thee by 9:50.Where Geet was sitting lifeless .Geet asked not to tell her parents as they were already much in pain...Her Mausi's condition was not okey so they admitted her to hospital and Mausi also had no one to take care of .
Seeing Geet in this condition made made restless and he ran toward her.Mannat was still under observation of doctors.Her left hand and left knee had been broken and due to severe blood loose she was still unconscious .Becoz when she fell from stairs her face also hit with vase next to first stair.
Rehaan :Papa aap aa gaye..Papa apko pata hai Mannat abhi tak nahi uthi...usko bahut pain ho rahi hogi Papa..aap kaho na doctor se usko theek akr de...aap to sab kar sakte ho Papa..U hav money na (he spread his arms so that Maan can take him up)
When Rehaan said this Maan really got big shock..is realy he can do what ever he want with money.How he can bring this girl and her mother out of pain with money...which Geet also hav more then enough .But if money is only way to tackle things why they all r in pain.Even his heart is also aching .His son was showing his real face to him.As Geet always says money is not every thing
Maan : Rehaan every thing gonna be alrite beta..let me talk to ur mommi (he kissed Rehaan and put him down)
He signald Nakul to take Rehaan away.Daddi was busy with doctor discussing progress.
Maan : Geet ...Geet (he jerked her )
But she gave no response
Maan :Geet every thing gonna b alrite...why u not told me at same time ..main bhi aa jata tumhare sath (he said softly placing his shivering hand on her shoulder which he never wanted to d not to touch her to control himself.But how much he tries to go away he always came close to her)
Geet after some time got up looked at him with tear filled eyes.
Geet : Every thing gonna b alrtite Maan..May be for u..not for me..U can buy things.But I can't buy my child's lil innocent dreams as reality . I can pay bill of whole hospital to get blessing for my child but it not gonna work I know becoz blessings can't be bought.(she gulped her saliva) Don worry Maan I ll take care of her. (she said sobbing she was losing herself in front of him but why ?)
Maan :Geet plz don do this control urself.U hav to b strong (he held her from shoulders)
Geet : Maan I hav lost every thing I just has Mannat..kush nahi hai mere pass ...Usne apke sath jo kiya..usko uski itni badi saja kyo milli..I know u may hav cursed my child...U don lik her...(he words shocked Maan ..he never ever thought to curse lil gilr.Even any one..he may be rude but not bad at heart)
Maan : Geet r u mad..How can I curse her.She is too innocent.she do same what a child can do at this age.How can u blame me Geet...Mannat ka burra to main soch he nahi sakta..us nanhi c bachi ne kya galat kiya hai .Why u say u I don lik her...U r wrong Geet (he loosened his grip from her shoulders)
Before they can argue more doctor asked that Mannat is regaining her consciousness back.But doctor permitted just two persons at once to c her. Geet ran inside and Maan also followed her.It was rare to c Maan in tears.His eyes got wet to c this poor creature lying helpless on bed covered with bandages.
Mannat : Mommi I hate Maan uncle...Mommi Mannat hate u
She was saying these words in her semi conscious state.What she had in her mind she was saying same .Due to Maan her mother not came behind her but left home for Maan at KC it was shocking for her .May b for any child who never ever thought of getting less attention from mother.
Geet : Mannat beta dekho Mommi is with u..baby..don say this Mommi loves u more then any thing else...plz beta..ankhain kholo..(brushing Mannat's hain Geet kissed her so many times)
Maan was looking every thing silently.Is this lil girl hate him to this extent that she has this thing in her mind even in this condition.But why he said nothing wrong to her.
Mannat :jayo Mommi aap...hamari mommi nahi ho ...aap Rehaan ki mommi ho...Maan uncle 'Mere Papa Maan' nahi hai...Rehaan told me lie .Usne Mannat ki Momi ko bhi Rehaan ki mommi bana liya .He told me lie that uske Papa gonna be my Papa .He is also liar mommi...(she started to cry and shout rubbing her body on bed sheet)
Maan and Geet got scared and before they could talk on this matter.Maan ran outside for doctor
Doctor observed her and gav injection to her.
Doctor : She is under some kind of big shock..lagta hai physically aur metally wo donno tarah hurt hai...What she is saying u know or she knows but for her mentally stable honna much important hai (Doctor gave her injection and under its effect she was sleeping .But more than Geet Maan was shocked knowing reason for this child's hatred for him)
Maan : Mujhe nahi pata tha Geet she hate me to such extent...I neer thought about this that just by not getting permission to call him Papa..she gonna react such...Otherwise I never hav said so.Really am I reason for this (he thought and came out of room ..with tear filled eyes which Daddi noticed who was outside waiting for her turn to look at Mannat )
Looking at Daddi he tried to avoid her not to show his tears.But she came behind him
Daddi : Why u r trying to hide...I hav over heard wht Mannat was saying and what doctor was saying...Beta aab apko pata challa sirf money he sabh nahi hoti (he cupped his face)
Maan : Daddi I m feeling her pain..But I m not wrong...Its whole personal whether I want to permit her or not.Okey we r family friends so every one can pressurize me.Agar koi ajnabi hota..and Mannat wanted to say him Papa then that person can never allowed her to say this.Fir kya reaction hota aap sabka...(even now he was not ready to bend but from inside he has been broken dying bit by bit looking at her.But he is Maan)
Daddi :Beta u r just pretending taht nothing matters to u..But u r feeling same what is true ?(she thought ) (continuing her talk): Beta koi bacha kissi rah chalte insaan ko apna nahi kehta..Even a animal comes to that person who seems own to that one.But here is girl ..own child very close to us..if u not want to admit it is up to u ...(she said and moved in)
Maan was thinking what Daddi said.She was rite But why he is not ready to admit that he don go away from Geet and Mannat. Thinking this he sat on chair outside keeping his face in his hands,He wanted to cry aloud.When he found Rehaan running toward him with two balloons.
Rehaan : Papa these r good na...one for me ..one for Mannat.( he said thought for moment ) No no I ll give two to her..she is my best friend Papa..she is angry with me.But main usko manna lunga.I know she ll forgive me...
He took his son in his lap.' You ll regain her again.But how can I ..what I can do to regain her trust.' But really I hav to...But why ...Who is she too me.Why I m too much worried about her...' Maan thought and got up taking him in his arms and moved toward room again as Rehaan wanted to c Mannat.
