At KM
At breakfast table:
Maan: Dad, in our khurana foods , especially jam is not progressing in its sales? So I thought of adding 250, 500 and 750 gm packages.
Dad: It is a nice idea but the cost will be more as we have to buy new machines, labour cost etc, I think it is not worth investing that much.
Maan while eating the toast asked geet to pass the spoon for the jam. Geet gave him a big spoon instead of a small one.
Maan: Geet I need a small spoon.
Geet: you can use that big one also
Maan: I can but when I use this spoon I will have to apply more jam than necessary.
Geet: Exactly, your giving small spoon along ur bottles right. Change that to a big spoon. Usage will be more. If our customers buys two package they will buy three packets each month. Then our sales will increase.
Maan and his dad(in unison): Excellent idea!!!!
Geet: Thank you. You know I have completed my post graduation and I am searching for a job'.
Maan's dad: Maan, change the small spoon to big one and appoint geet in our office.
Maan(with huge smile): sure dad.
Months passed . maan started falling for geet. Geet also treated maan to be a respectable person and a very good friend.
One day maan got an invitation to attend one of his friends party. Maan thought it could be nice if geet accompanies him. So he asked geet for it and she also agreed.
Maan introduced geet to all of his friends as his friend. As it was his friend's party dev was also invited.
Maan and geet saw dev but both of them ignored him. Dev tried talking to geet but one or other men came between them .Finally when maan was busy speaking with his business associates dev got a chance to speak with geet. maan saw this , he didn't like it but when he saw geet speaking with him he left it.
Dev: hello geet.
Geet: hello
Dev: I am sorry geet for what happened. I am really sorry. When I saw u today, the very first day when I meet you came into my mind.pls forget everything and forgive me.
Geet: I forgot and I forgive you.
Dev felt very happy that geet is back with him so he went to get some drinks and there he heard some men talking to each other.
Men 1: Do you see that girl who came with Mr. Maan Singh Khurana?
Men 2: Yap, I saw her. She is beautiful. I don't know for how any days she is going to be his girlfriend.
Men1: That's true.
Saying so they started laughing' after hearing their conversation dev went to meet them.
Dev: pls don't talk like that about geet.
Men 1: what makes you worry?
Dev(in anger): pls don't talk like that.
Men 2: what if we talk?
Then all the three started fighting.
Seeing the fight maan and geet came to the spot.
Maan: Dev, stop fighting' what's all this?
Dev: Maan don't come between this.
Maan: Dev, just stop fighting'
Dev: Maan, they are speaking wrong about you and geet.
Maan: Dev , It's their point of view. Whatever it may be we know what we are.
Dev: but maan you know that in geet's life I was the first men to come in.
Seeing this geet spoke
Geet: oh.. stop it dev. Stop all this non sense . See what you have made this place. If they want to speak let them speak. I don't care.
Dev: but geet, I can't tolerate this non sense.
Geet: Who are you to care?
Dev: geet, you only told that you forgot everything and you forgive me.
Geet: yes dev, I said. I told I forgot, that means I forgot such a person in my life and I said I forgive you that means I forgive your foolishness.
Dev: geet''
Geet: Come maan. Let's go.
Maan and geet left the party leaving dev behind. Dev felt ashamed of that insult, that too in front of all his friends. So he planned something that could separate maan and geet.
In the car
Silence prevailed in the car. No one spoke out. Maan was in real pain seeing all this happening suddenly he felt geet happiness matters to him more than anything in his life. So he broke the silence.
Maan: Geet, can I ask you something.
Geet: sure
Maan: why can't you give a second chance to Dev. I mean why don't you reconsider him.
Geet: Sorry maan. Can we change the topic?
Maan understood geet was not interested so he left it.
That night maan was not able to sleep. He was thinking about geet the whole night. He didn't know what to do. He felt like talking to her about something but he didn't know what to talk. He convinced himself that he will talk to her tomorrow and went to sleep.
At office:
Maan made up his mind to speak with geet. Maan went to geet's cabin.
Maan: Geet...
Geet: yes sir, do you want anything?
Maan: Geet... I...I... actually...
(Maan who speaks to everyone straight into their face is unable to speak with geet. He was totally in loss of words)
Maaan: Actually' I want Desai sigh project file' (He said that in one go)
Geet: sure sir. You should have called me. I would have brought it for you.
Maan: No, I thought of coming personally and ask you about'.
Geet: sir, do you need anything else?
Maan: yes... No... no... I don't and he left her cabin and went to his seat.
Maan thought for sometimes and called his dad.
Maan: Dad, Are you busy?
Dad: no maan. Just tell me.
Maan: dad, I want to say something to geet but I am in loss of words. What to do dad.
Dad(smiled): son, it is because you love her.
Maan: Dad...
Dad: yes maan, you are in love...
