Guys I am really really very sorry for not giving any update yesterday... you see I had got a call and had to go out... a million sorry and for all those waiting for an update... here it is...
P.S: This update is dedicated to @yeashviagrawal... it was her birthday yesterday... so Happy Belated birthday to you... and I am sorry that i did not update yesterday... I will give the promised updates today!!!😊

CHAPTER 19
Almost two weeks had passed since Maan had given geet those documents to sign so that they could begin the shooting of the movie together. Geet was very excited at the prospect of acting in her first movie. Her first call after receiving the offer from Maan was to Arnav.
He was very happy to hear the news but warned Geet fo Maan. " Geet, main bohot khus hoon lekin sirf ek baat ki chinta hain. Maan. Please tum usse thoda door hi rehna. Woh theek insaan nahi hain."
" Arnav, tumhe meri chinta karne ki koi zaroorat nahi hain. Main apne aap ko sambhal lungi aur tum Maan ki fikr mat karo. Woh itne bhi bure insaan nahi hain jitna dikhte hain. Unhone meri bohot madad ki hain."
Arnav still was reluctant. " Pata nahi Geet. Woh yeh sab ye kyun kar raha hain. Lekin tum mujhe promise karo ki koi bhi problem hui toh tum mujhe phone karke zaroor bataogi." Geet promised that she would do what he asked of her and cut the call.
Her next call was to her mother- her only blood relative who did not hate her for the decision she had taken in her life to become an actress.
" Ma, main Geet bol rahi hoon!!"
Her mother almost broke into tears after hearing the voice of her princess after so many days.
" Geeet bata, kaisi hain tu? Koi taqleef toh nahi hui na? Aur tune itne dino tak phone kyun nahi kiya?? Tujhe pata hain main kitna ghabra rahi thi?? Kitne kitne ajeeb khayal aa rahe the mann main..."
Rano would have continued her ramble if Geet had not cut her in the middle of her speech.
" Ma!! Ma!! Ma!! Aur kitna bologi?? Pehle yeh toh sunlo ki maine phone kyun kiya hain."
" Haan beta bol."
" Ma, mujhe ek bohot hi bare film ka offer aya hain aur woh bhi pata hain kiske saath?"
" Kis ke saath beta? Ab tu nahi batayegi toh mujhe kaise pata chalega?"
" Of-ho Ma!! Guess karo na!!!"
" Arrey, mujhe yeh sab filmo ki duniya ke bare main pata nahi hain. Tu hi bata de."
" Maan Singh Khurana ke saath aur woh bhi unke khud ke production house ke saath."
" Yeh toh bohot hi khushi ki baat hain Geet. Lekin beta," Rano said, her motherly instinct at once kicking into action.
" Zara sambhal ke kaam karna beta. Yeh film industry bohot hi kharab jagah hoti hain. Dhyaan se aage badna meri bacchi."
" Jee Ma. Chalo ab main rakhti hoo. Mujhe kuch kaam hain."
" Theek hain meri bacchi."
Geet had also shifted to Arnav's house in these two weeks since her injuries were now completely healed. Maan had been quite reluctant in letting her go but Geet had been quite adamant on that particular issue. So finally Maan had to relent. She talked to him often on the phone though.
One day Maan called Geet up. She picked up the phone. " Hello."
" Hey Geet!!! Main Maan bol raha hoon."
" Haa Maan boliye?"
" Maine tum issilye phone kiya hain kyunki kal raat hamare movie ki launch party hain and the whole world is waiting to see the new face that we had discovered and that is you. So main aaj shaam ko Anamika Khanna ko bhej raha hoon tumhare ghar. She will show you ceratin designs. Choose whichever you like."
" Magar paise?"
" Geet, this is on us. So you don't have to worry about that."
" Okay," she replied.
When evening vame, geet was waiting quite anxiously for Anamika to come. She was one of the very well known fashion designers in town. She had designed for fashionistas like Sonam Kapoor and that made geet feel quite nervous.
She wondered how Anamika as a person will be like.
When the bell rang, Geet dashed to the door. She opened it and found Anamika standing infront of her.
Anamika smiled warmly at her and etended her hand for a handshake. " Hi!! you must be Geet. I am Anamika Khanna." geet reciprocated her guesture and invited her in.
She apologised for the house being small for her.
Anamika brushed aside her claim and said that during her struggling days she'd ived in smaller places so she did not need to worry about the place being small for her.
" Shall we get to work then?" Anamika asked.
" Yeah. Please do." They sat in the living room and began discussing her look for the big night.
" Hmm," anamika said, looking at Geet's face. " You have got a very pretty face. quite uncommon. Anything will go well with a face like that. And you figure is quite great too. But you have a very quintessential Indian elegance and that strikes me the most. So I would like you to go with something Indian for your first public apprearance. But you can choose western too if you like."
Geet declined the idea of wearing western and said that she would go with Indian like Anamika said.
" Okay then. I have a very good collection of sarees that you can choose from. They are very Indian but very modern too." Saying this, she forwarded Geet her laptop which contained all her latest designs.
Bonding over designs and other stuffs, geet realised that Anamika was quite like her own self. She also realised that even afetr reaching such great heights she remained humble and down to earth. She hoped to God that she too will be like her someday.
Finally after over two hours, Geet decided on awhite saree. It was very simle witha daring backless blouse and was very beautiful. " Wow geet!!! You have a very nice choice. Personally this saree is one of my most favourite designs. It's simple but very elegant. But the problem is that nowadays, these actressess do not like simple stuff. But you are quite different than our average actress material."
After thinking about the things she would need to make Geet more pretty Anamika said," Okay now about the jewellery. I would say that you go for long diamond danglers and leave you neck bare. A nice cocktail ring will do the job for you hands and white stilletoes will be perfect for your feet. And you hair should be open and flowery. i would need to straighten your curly hair in the proces and you will be all ready to go and dazzle the world with you first public apprearance. We need to keep your look in the minds of the public because Maan has ordered everyone not to let you into the spotlight before the promotions of the film begins. So the audience needs something to remember."
Geet could only smile at the excitment in Anamika's face. it looked like she really enjoyed what she did for a living and maybe that's why she is so popular in her particular field.
" Okay," Anamika finally concluded. " The party is tomorrow at 7 o' clock. I will be reaching your place at three with my stylists to get you ready. The only thing that you have to make sure is that you get enough sleep for the night. We all want to make sure that you are absolutely glowing. Do you understand what I am saying?"
" Yes."
" Good. I will see you tomorrow then. Goodbye."
Geet waited till Anamika went out and then flopped back onto the couch waiting for the enw day to come when she would finally be able to realise all her dreams and ambition. this was waht she had come to Mumbai for... the reason why she had left her hometown... her parents, relatives and frineds and it was finally going to be true. She almost jumped with joy at the thought.
Swiftly she made dinner and got ready to go to bed. It would not be good if it looked that she had not slept for weeks at the evnet tomorrow.
