Whoa...finished the first chapter.

H, as I've told you alrdy - unless I read ur updates real slow and with fullattention, I am sure i miss out on details. And since this is a pretty long story, I couldnt afford that.

So imagine me as a new reader and tell me if what I am thinking of Dev-Geet marriage is true? Dont they share a physical relationship ? They have been married 5 yrs for God's sake...

Erhm! I intend to trim a lot of fat from the earlier draft that did nothing to the story line but add scenes and it was unnecessary at that. There are enough complications and baggage as it is. There is a failed marriage, an anticipation to experience everything that hadn't existed before, his reticence and her expectations. Isn't that enough to run a story without Dev being gay, or the incident from her childhood. (Lord! that makes so much sense and I'm going through the, "Why didn't I think of that the first time?" moment 😆 )

And then there are those scenes that are a self-made identity of NY times. This re-writing feels like walking on a tight-rope. I can only hope that this story line appeals to all of you just the same.

So, no...it isn't what you think...They just fizzled out. A falling apart when no two things match between them.

Trim the fat from a story? Only you can come up with these comparisons.

Just as I am reading chap2 , I am again drawn to the snippets you put in like

"putting him into those long stretches of troublesome nightmares where he was always running in a Sherwani with a hundred others following his trail"

And making "just so that she could whip up an eligible bachelorette's name from thin air any time of day" sound like whipping up an omelette anytime she felt hungry...LOL these were totally hilarious.I imagine them and can laugh out loud in office which isnt such a good idea.

Right, fizzling out seems more appropriate. Yaah, while an emotional attachment remains attractive all throughtout life, a physical one burns only till you keep supplying with the emotional oil. If that doesnt match, this is never enough.

Trust me, I dont know why I dont remember Dev being gay. Though I remember Geet's childhood episode.So I consider myself a new reader with snatches of memories of the story as if I am suffering from amnesia 😆 Its like my life's turning into a soap😉

Oh and I must say I loved how you painted the picture in the story with 4 phrases.That just adequately catches the essence of the story.😃

Your descriptions have been wonderful. Infact I feel like rereading the parts again.

Subtle emotions. Comfort of friends. Reactions from both of them - at the airport, in office. Thoughts at the back of the minds. Great !

Now H is the main question - when are you updating ?😳

Ofcourse here Hasini:-) My vote will always be for NYTs.I have enjoyed the first three rewritten parts- the detailed situations add more pizzaz to the storyline. I am eager to read the next- rather the entire story rewritten.
