As much as I respect reader preference, I think I should do my bit in letting you all know that another one of my FF - Will-O'-the-Wisp exists...So here is a piece from the same...

More so because...I do know that some of you like to read other leads, but don't go so far as acknowledging that in public. 😊



Dhruv is a reporter from Mumbai, who returns to Lucknow upon being dismissed indefinitely. His recent expose on a leading lady of bollywood is being speculated as much cause for her suicide. Once in Lucknow, he finds his room, in the top floor of his Chacha's house, has been rented out to a single mother and her daughter, since it had been a taken that he would not have any use of it ever since his permanent move to Mumbai.

Much to Dhruv's surprise, Lehar turns out to bear a close resemblance to the dead actress and there is instant dislike (or an estranged attraction that he foreswears) for everything that is to do with her, not excepting her six year old daughter.

Dhruv moves into his friend's room in the opposite terrace, but in the meanwhile tries his hand in getting the mother, daughter duo out of his room. But given the mystery surrounding Lehar, he is drawn to her, unable to help his investigative persona and snoops around finding information on her, never giving away his peaked interest in Lehar. In the meanwhile, Nanhi, Lehar's daughter strikes an unexpected friendship with him, even as he learns that Lehar is no less interested in him than the six year old herself - the fact of which proven from a blog post of his that she likes by mistake.

Now, almost three weeks in Lucknow, he has discovered of Lehar's mysterious disappearances around 20th of every month and is further curious about her history and her present. Besides this, he also helps out with Urdu lessons for his friend, Guru, who is to audition for the upcoming production of Salim Anarkali in their town. This and avoiding Nanhi and rescuing Nanhi's Bholu (a puppy) takes up his time, when he is not working his thoughts around her...

She came out wet and wandering, the house was a maze to her, hallways coming out of nowhere leading up to dark corners that always led her to skip a beat. Her blouse began absorbing the water drops that clung to her skin and she pulled the hair that swayed in the back, over to the front to make up for the sari that still hadn't made past her waist.

"Hold on...don't move now...you are going to trip and fall" And she did just as he asked, clumping his shirt in her fisted hands, while her eyes scrunched into slits and she moved in closer in his hold.

He heard her screech into his chest once again - perhaps from sensing the mouse scattering close to her feet - and now he was helpless, but to tighten his arm that rounded her hip, the thin sheen of wetness there making them slide down until it rested against the curve of her waist.


Well, I'm hoping that at least a few of you will be convinced to read Will-O'-the-Wisp further...

I demand an update... Maan has been injured for days now, where is the doctor, H? Please put a short update on this one...
