Maan turned to look at her with an irritated look.
"Why are you standing there.Come along clients wait kar rahe hai."
"You mean i can come to the conference room when the whole world...i mean the entire staff is waiting outside?"
"Yes"he did not say more.Geet followed him
Maan gave the presentation with much accuracy & excellence.Geet's eyes twinkled.She even forgot to blink her eyes.This was the real Maan whom she had really adored,whom she had waited all her life but sadly when he turned up,he was something else.
After the clients had gone,Maan had a talk with the entire staff & the staff had every reasons to feel nervous in front of him.There were a lot of female officers but Maan spoke to everyone in a commanding tone.
"Kamal ho gaya yeh toh!Please someone tell me it's a dream!"muttered Geet.
Maan was seated in his cabin concentrating fully on work.Geet was gazing at him from outside through the glass.No doubt the girl staff were attractive but Maan did not care a damn for them.
Geet decided to look into the old files of KC to know fully the company history.She was thoroughly impressed.Khurana Construction had huge financial strength & excellent marketing strategies and in the recent years they have only increased their profit-margin all thanks to MSK.
"i think he is a money-minded person.He sees to it that he always benefits something from all his deals.Oh God!the more I am getting into the facts,the more i am getting confused!He does not seem to be a person who will marry an ordinary girl like me when there are successful women eyeing his attention & what's with this casanova & flirtous attitude?He is not behaving an inch of it like that now! "
She decided to have some talks with the staff.On the other hand Maan was studying the reports of his various ongoing projects,meetings e.t.c.He saw Geet talking to some officers.Her curls were dangling on either side of her pinkish face.She had an innocence of a child,how much she tried to hide that,it was of no use.Her eyes spoke her words.In the world full of hypocrites,she was definitely a breath of fresh air to him.He smiled still looking at her.He was relaxed a little bit.
"But why the heck am i thinking so deeply about her.Concentrate Maan concentrate on your work"He told to himself.
Just then he saw Geet bonding well with a male officer.He even remembered her talk with Karan.He was very angry although he didn't know the reason.He stormed out of his cabin.
"This is an office not a chat-club!understand!Get back to work everybody!!" said Maan angrily & everyone was quick to obey his orders.He retreated back to his cabin.
He sat on his chair with his hand on his forehead,"What's happening yaar!"
Geet on the other hand was stunned.She had never seen him so angry before.She went into his cabin and sat down quietly on the sofa,time to time throwing a glance at him.He again got busy in his work.He felt that when Geet was around,he was at peace.Even if she slightly moved a little.his mind was stirred may be that's the reason why he had brought her here,he thought while trying hard to stop thinking about that matter.
Just then a girl came inside with a file.
"Sir,your signatures are required in the file."
Maan scanned the file.A cryptic expression graced his face.Geet was observing him keenly.Finally he spoke,
"I can't sign this file!" he said
The girl was surprised,"Kyun Sir?Is anything wrong with it?Tell us we will get it done correctly."
"No there is nothing wrong with the file but i can't sign it!"
"But--"
"Maine kaha na,i can't sign! now go!!!" he said angrily
The girl was terrified.She forgot to take the file with her.
Geet just couldn't understand what was happening."If i see these queer things for even a second now,i will land myself in a mental assylum." she thought.
She wanted to see the file but Maan didn't allow her.
"But why Mr Khurana?As the owner of KC,your signatures are very important in these files!"
"is she suspecting me?" he thought
"Actually..it's a very important file..i w-will definitely sign it...but need to carefully look into it.!" said Maan
She did not argue.She sat again quietly.After some time Geet began pacing to & fro.Maan was also disturbed.
"Kya hua Geet?Are you bored?"
"Thank God you asked.Otherwise I would have blasted out!"
Maan called on his assistant to tell him the schedule for the entire day.He learned that there was nothing much to be done that day.
"Thik hai Geet,we will go shopping."
"Yeah!" said Geet dryly.She was not too happy with the idea.
Parking area----
"Maan!"Geet called out excitedly.
"What happened?"Maan asked while getting the car outside.
"I want to drive the car!!!Good idea na!!!"
Maan looked at her surprised,"Really?You know to drive?"
"Yes Yes i know i know!!"
"O...kay?aur driving lisense ka kya? i doubt if you have one!"
Geet did not like his idea at all. "If any traffic police is there,we will switch places & you show your lisense"
"In the middle of the road we will change places?How?" Maan asked her teasingly.
"Woh sab na you leave it on me!i am expert in these!"
Before Maan could argue Geet sat on the drivers seat.
"No use arguing with her!i really wish and pray we reach there safely!"he sighed
Geet started the car.Maan was a little bit apprehensive.He found it soothing to better close his eyes.
After some time,they were on the main road.Geet was driving pretty well.She was angry seeing Maan still with his eyes closed.
"You can open your eyes!I am a better driver than you Mister!" she snorted.
