Colors will be broadcasting a new drama next month called 'Kathputli' based around the yesteryear love affair between Bollywood icons Dilip Kumar and Madhubala.

It will be produced by Saurabh Tiwari, and will star Dhrishti Dhami and Vivaan Dsena as Madhubala and Dilip Kumar, respectively. Raj Zhutshi will essay the role of Madhubala's father, Ata Ulla Khan.

A source close to the project told Mumbai Mirror, "It is a show about the tragic love story of Dilip Kumar and Madhubala, which is probably one of the most talked about in the Indian film industry. The story deals with their careers and how their relationship ended on a bitter note due to a misunderstanding between Dilip Kumar and Madhubala's father. Currently being shot, the show will be on air by next month. All other details are being kept under wraps."

guys if u dont mind...i think some of u dont know the Dilip-Madhubala real life story...we have done a reseach on this subject from websites before we start watching this show 😆

Madhubala's life story was a very tragic one...she was in love in Dilip Kumar since an early age of 16 but her father proved to a main villian in her love story...her father was against her marriage with Dilip Kumar and did not want them to work together...still their relation survived...but Madhubala wanted Dilip Kumar to apologize to her father which he refused to do and hence Madhubala left him.

Later Madhubala married Kishore Kumar and Dilip married Saira Banu.

Kishore Kumar was a bad husband and did not treat Madhubala properly...when Madhubala was very sick and it was known that she wont survive for long, he left her...Madhubala died at an early age of 36...in her last days she used to watch all her and Dilip Kumar's movies like Mughl-e-Azam and all...she loved Dilip Kumar till the end and her last wish was to see Dilip Kumar once which did not happen...

Kishore Kumar was like a male Draupadi, he married 4 times 😆...Dilip Kumar is still with Sairu Banu as his wife...

PS: i think in this show also Madhubala's father is playing the negative role...and if they decide to add Kishore Kumar and Saira Banu later on, then i think Karanvir or Siddhant are very apt for Kishore Kumar's role - perfect evil hubby 😆...or even Mohit Seghal is good 😆...i dont know till what extent they r gonna follow this story, lets see 😆
