Geet was immersed trying to complete her target within the deadline when she got the call she could never have expected in her wierdest dream...
She picked up the call looking at the unknown number...

Caller: Geet... Hi! Main Sameera bol ri hoon...
Hundreds of questions were running through Geet's mind hearing the callers name but surprised by the unexpected call she just managed to speak out the caller's name in amazement...
Sameera: I know Geet tumhare dimag mein is waqt bahot se sawaal honge... Main sabka jawab de doongi tum bas Apollo Hospital aa jao...
Geet held her breath praying for Maan's wellbeing in her heart...
Sameera caught the hidden fear in her silence...
Sameera: Geet Maan is absolutely fine its me whos in hospital... Actually you need to come to maternity ward... Please Geet come soon...

Their call ended... Geet informed her boss that shes taking a half day leave and left with her car keys...
Sameera(thinking): Aaj ke baad tumhein Maan ke khilaf hi khilaf jana hai Geet par meri galti ko sudharne ke liye aur Maan ki suni zindagi mein roshni bikherne ke liye ye karna padega...
The thought of seeing Maan's child was making Geet really excited and she started driving pretty fast in excitement...
Geet's thoughts wandered to Maan's childhood...
GEET(thinking): Babaji Maan bachpan mein kitne cute lagte the na??? Arey nai Babaji abhi bhi wo bare good looking hain but bachpan ki cuteness ki baat hi alag thi... Aap naraz mat ho main apki creativity pe comment nai kar rahi bas unke baby ko milne jaa ri hoon na to hamara bachpan yaad aa raha hai... Yaad hai apko Hoshiyarpur mein jab Vicky mujhe zabardasti dur wale park khelne le gaya tha???
FLASHBACK
Maan's family had come to Hoshiyarpur for holidays since both their families were old family friends... It was just a normal hot sunny day... Geet and Vicky were playing carrom... Vicky was very bored of sitting and playing... He wanted to go outside and play something that will require physical energy...
Vicky: Geet chal na bahar chal ke kuch khelte hain... Subah se kabhi carrom kabhi ludo kabhi taash main bore ho gaya hoon... Meko kuch daudne koodne wala khelna hai jaise denga paani vish amrit...
GEET: Bore to main bhi ho gayi hoon Vicky par ye to Darji ke sone ka time hai agar hum shor machayenge to hamari khair nahin...
Vicky: Yaar wo thodi dur wale park mein chalte hain na koi problem nahin hogi...
GEET: Vicky hum abhi chhote hain maa kahengi kisi bare ko leke jao aur is dhoop mein kaun bada hamare saath ayega???
Vicky: Arey yaar tu budhdhu hi rahegi... Bhai to bade ho gaye hain unhein patate hain na wo aunty se bolenge to wo na nahin kahengi...
GEET: Vicky unse to tu hi baat kar kitne akdoo hain wo seedhe mun baat bhi nai karte...
Vicky: Ok ok main hi bhai ko patata hoon...
Vicky somehow pataofied Maan... So Maan agreed to escort them to park... Since Maan was escorting them Rano(Geet's mother) had no issues with them going there...
All three of them went to the park... Geet and Vicky started playing vish amrit with other kids in the park... Maan always thought himself as quiet elder to Vicky and Geet and thus never played with them... He always thought of them as very young and childish... He really had some over mature brain for a child of 10yrs...
All the kids were having super fun running and playing around when a mad bull entered the park... All the kids started running for their lives... Geet fell while running and hurt her knee badly... Due to the injury she was not able to get up and the bull was closing in...
Geet screamed Vicky's name for help but Vicky was himself very young to think anything other than saving himself from the giant bull so he kept running away praying that someone saves Geet... Geet lost every hope of being saved she was now sure that this bull will surely kill her when two small arms held her and both rolled over behind a hedge... Geet clutched onto her savior panting with all the screaming still scared of the bull while Maan held his tiny doll tightly in the safe confines of his small arms assuring her that hes here and nothing will happen to her... After sometime when that bull was caught and imprisoned back... Maan cupped her face in his small palms...
MAAN: Geet its ok wo bull chali gayi... Ab sab theek hai tumhein ghabrane ki koi zaroorat nahin...
Geet opened her fear filled eyes slowly to look into his assuring ones and the moment she looked into his chocolate brown eyes all her fears ran away...
GEET: Thanks Maan...aaj to sachchi mera raam naam hone wala tha...
He nodded his head negatively...
MAAN: Galat baat hai Geet aise nahin bolte...samjhi???
Geet just nodded her head in affirmation while her lips started curving up into a cute smile thinking her akdoo has actually talked to her and saved her too...
Vicky had already reached home by the time Maan and Geet reached there... Maan entered proudly with Geet he knew he has done a great job by saving Geet today and all the elders will appreciate him and think of him as a responsible child... That indeed happened elders really gave him the title of a responsible kid but he failed to notice the tiny almond eyes that were looking at him with great admiration and immense respect... Since that day he became Geet's idol whom she decided to always listen to without ever questioning him...
FLASHBACK ENDS
A tear escaped Geet's eye with the remembrance of her one of the most adored precious memory... But she calmed herself the very next moment...
GEET(thinking): Tu bhi na Geet bilkul jhalli hai... Ye teri pyari yaadein hain jo Maan ki berukhi k saath bhi tujhe jeene ka hausla deti hain inpe ansu nahin bahate...
But she couldn't stop herself from asking the same question she asks her Babaji at least ten times a day and spends half of her night thinking about the same...
GEET(thinking): Par Babaji aisa kya kar diya maine ki Maan mujhse itna ukhad gaye??? Sab kuch to theek tha Babaji phir Maan ne hamari dosti ke beech ye deewar kyun khadi kar di???? Kya galat ho gaya Babaji???
Her list of questions trail of questions broke as she reached appolo...
Geet inquired for Sameera's room no. at reception...
She knocked at the door of the room... A nurse opened the door for her and left... Geet entered the room to see a very pale Sameera lying there on the white bed thats head was surrounded by machines two of which were attached to Sameera... A drip attached to Sameera's left hand was hanging on the stand beside the bed...
Those machines were giving Geet a wierd feeling... She didn't have the courage to see anyone in that state let alone Maan's life...but she had to be brave for Sameera and go ahead...
Gathering all her courage she moved towards Sameera...
GEET: Sameera ye sab kya hai??? Tumhein aise machines kyun laga rakhi hai??
Sameera: Shant ho jao Geet main bol pa rahi hoon wohi bahot hai...
Geet really got scared of Sameera's statement...
GEET: Tum aisa kyun keh rahi ho Sameera Babaji karein tum jaldi theek ho jao aur baby ko... Baby kahan hai Sameera???
Sameera: Sab batati hoon Geet par sabse pehle mujhe tumse ek wada chahiye...
GEET: Kaisa wada Sameera???
Sameera: Ki tum Maan aur baby ko zindagi ke kisi mod par akela nahin chodogi...
GEET: Ye tum kaisi baatein kar rahi ho Sameera???
Sameera: Please Geet main janti hoon mujhe tumse koi bhi wada lene ka haq nahin hai par ye bhi sach hai ki ek tum hi ho jisse main ye umeed kar sakti hoon... Janti hoon kahin na kahin tumhari takleefon ki wajah main bhi hoon par phir bhi...
GEET: Sameera please aisa mat kaho in sab mein tumhari koi galti nahin hai aur tum mujhse kuch bhi maang sakti ho par tum to janti ho Maan mujhse theek se baat bhi nahin karte aur main khud ko unpe thopna nai chahti... Maine kabhi aisa nahin kiya...
Sameera: Par Geet tumhein ye karna hoga mere liye nahin to Maan ke liye... Geet Maan bahot akela ho jayega uske saath koi bhi nahin hai aur main bhi kuch hi der mein...
GEET: Sameera!!! Ye tum kaisi bekar baatein kar rahi ho...Babaji...
Sameera: Geet Babaji se kuch mat kaho unhone mujhe chance diya tha mujhe doctor ne bataya tha ki agar maine jaldi abortion nahin karwaya to she won't be able to save me after delivery but Geet saath hi ye bhi kaha tha ki phir i will never be able to conceive aa child... Main kya karti I really wanted my baby so maine baby choose kar liya... Please Geet tumhein mujhe promise dena hoga so that i could part my soul with satisfaction that my Maan and my baby are in safe hands...
Geet was stupefied by the news Sameera gave her... She felt completely choked not able to speak out a word when Sameera was pleading for one promise that will make it easy for her to die without any repentance... Gathering her lost voice...
GEET(still in choked state): Maan... Maan ko pata h??
Sameera nodded her head in affirmation...
Sameera: Unhein bas delivery ke baad pata chala... Please Geet ek marte hue insaan ki akhri khwahish samajh k mujhe promise de do...
GEET: I promise you Sameera main Maan aur baby ko kabhi akela nahin chodoongi aur unka poora khayal rakhoongi...
Sameera: Thank you so much Geet you really don't know tumne mujhpe se kitna bada bojh utaar diya...
GEET: Sameera kya Maan yahan hain??
Sameera: Haan Geet I lied to you wo children's ward ke paas hoga... Tum jana chahti ho na jao...
Her heart beating fast scared of what Maan must be going through she just ran out of the room...

Maan stood in front of the children's ward looking blankly at his new born baby while 100s of questions were going through his mind... The most special moment of his life was brutally ruined... The welcome day of his most awaited happiness turned out to be the farewell day of the reason of that happiness... His heart was crammed with different emotions the pain of losing his only companion for 2yrs, the fear of how will he take care of his baby all alone n the longing for someone's consolation in this hard and paainful moment... He suddenly felt a touch that was easily recognizable for him anywhere in the world, the one touch of consolation he was actually longing for... He just turned around and hugged her tight letting her know the pain and fears he was going through...
