It was raining heavily like the sky was crying. The clouds were making thundering sounds. Cold wind was blowing.

Dadi was stopping me from going to her house. Dadi "The weather is not good, you might get into some accident." ButI was adamant about my decision that I will propose to her today no matter what. I still remember the day when she was trying to stop me from going and I was so rude to her. Her innocent and beautiful child like face was still fresh in my eyes. Her voice still echoed in my mind whenever I close my eyes.

It was 11 in the morning when I reached at her place. I was really excited to see her reaction about seeing me after 4 years. I put the velvet box inside my coat pocket and rang the bell of her house.

It was Rano aunty opened the door and instantly recognized me. She was shocked to see me but then smiled at me warmly. She called me inside the home.

Rano "Maan! What a pleasant surprise? How are you?". "I am Fine aunty." I made myself comfortable on the living room sofa and Rano aunty sat beside me. Rano"How is your family Maan?"she ordered one of the servants for black coffee and a tea for her as she asked me "They are fine aunty" There was a silence as the butler came in with tea and a coffee. He set them on a coffee table beside us. As the butler left I asked Rano aunty 'Where is Geet?'

Rano aunty looked at me with surprise but then politely answered ' we married her last year.'

The moment she said those dreadful words my life stop at that instant. I was so heartbroken, my eyes were started to wet before I broke down I immediately left from there.

I drove furiously to the place away from city. I got out of my car and stood on the mountain. I was now drenched in rain. I closed my eyes with agony and pain as the memories of past came into my mind.

"Please don't go Maan" Said sixteen years old Geet, between her sobs while holding my arm. I got really pissed off with her stopping me like that. I pushed her away from me and she landed on the floor little away from me.

"oh come on Geet now stop your crying session I will be back soon , you are crying like I am going there forever. I am just going there for studies" I said to her while turning to leave. Geet "what if I won't be here?" Just as I was about to leave, I turned around and Said " Ah don't be ridiculous you will be here and besides Where can you go? Geet "To my spouse house, You know got married."

"Then I will come and Meet you there. Don't worry." I said that and left from there. I was so excited about going to US that I didn't even care to look at Geet's expression.

Tears rolled down my cheeks as the memory came into my mind. I was twenty two when I left her for making my future, since I was elder I knew what feelings I posses for her, but she, she was just a kid.

I was so broken and lost, I loved her so much but I was late in reaching her. How I wish I would have returned last year, how I wish I could undo the past. Tears were nonstop flowing from my eyes and rain was no where stopping. It was getting darker now but I was in no mood of going anywhere, I just wanted to stay alone.

My thoughts were broken when my cell rang. I knew it must be dadima, she must be getting worried.

I attended the call and before I could say anything dadima showered million questions over me .

Dadima " Maan! Where are you? Are you ok?" before dadi could continue I cut her off and told "Dadi I am fine. I will be there soon, don't worry" with that I hung up the phone.
