Hi Guys!!! I am back with an update... But first I must thank you from the bottom of my heart for the number of likes and comments you have given me for my ff...
I just cant believe that i got 169 likes for my last update and almost 11 pages of comments!!! i am over the moon... thank you so much for your love and encouragement... and though I do not reply individually fro your comments I really love reading them... all your comments and criticisms alike are welcome for my ff... it only encourages me to write further... Okay so enough of my blabbering... here goes the update!!!
LOVE OR LUST???
CHAPTER 7
As Geet reached the guys, Avinash turned towards her and said," Geet i was hoping that you would come to a Holi party organised by me tomorrow."
Geet was a bit surprised and said," Magar main waha kaise jaun?? Main toh waha pe kisiko bhi nahi jaanti hongi..."
Avinash again said," Geet please maan jao. Dekho Arnav bhi aa raha hain. Tumhe koi taqleef nahi hogi. Aur sabse badi baat main yeh party issiliye arrange kar raha hoon kyun ki mere break milne ke khushi main sab mujhse party throw karne ke liye bol rahe hain."
Geet looked at Arnav for a moment and he nodded reassuringly. That gave geet some confidence and she replied," Theek hain."
Avinash was very happy at her reply and then went away to do some other technical work for the ad film.
Geet also went to the wash room to wash away all her make up and change into her own casual clothes.
When she came out of the washroom, Gurmeet had already left the studio for he had some prior work and now it was only Arnav and Geet and Avinash and Maan who were standing a bit furthur away discussing something very seriously- regarding the movie perhaps.
After they finished their talk Arnav and Geet moved forward to wish Avinash good night as they will be off to their respective houses. Avinash wished them a cheerful goodnight, sure of the fact that they will be seeing each other the next day.
Almost with dread, Geet looked up at Maan who was standing just next to Avinash, only to see raw hostility for her in his eyes. She flinched away from his heated gaze as she realized where both his eyes were fixed.
They were looking with murderous rage at Arnav's hand that was wrapped securely around her waist.
This little occurance was not missed by Arnav who now became sure that something was most definitely wrong between these two. He stretched out his hand forward to shake Maan's hand only to have it gripped so hard that it almost hurt. Still he tried not to flinch at the direct hostility emanating from Maan's eyes towards him.
After leaving the studio, both Arnav and Geet drove towards Geet's rented apartment. Once inside, geet set forward to prepare coffee for both Arnav and herself.
Handing him his cup witha smile Geet sat down in the couch along with him with her own cup of coffee.
She had just taken the remote in her hand when Arnav said," Leave it. Le's just talk."
" Okay," she consented with a smile.
They just made small talk for a while when suddenly Arnav dropped the bomb.
" Geet, what is going on between you and Maan Singh Khurana??" The cup of coffee in her hand shook slightly sending ripples in her concocted coffee, before she said in a shaky voice," No- Notthing is going on... between us."
Arnav sighed in an irritated manner. " geet do I need to remind you how horrible you are as a liar?"
Geet pouted. " But that is unfair. How am i going to be an established actress when I can't even lie properly and convincingly???"
Arnav smiled at her obvious attempt to sidetrack him from the original topic.
" Geet, it was a nice try but now can we please get back to the original topic, dear?"
Geet sighed. " Arnav, can we just leave it today?? I am not ready to have this conversation right now. I need a little more time before i can tell you of my problems."
Arnav understood. Geet was a tough girl. She can handle all her problems herself but even after knowing all that, he is worried for her for she was a very close friend of his and he is really very scared for her safety.
" Gudiya," he said, using the nickname he had given her when they were both still children. " You know right that you can always tell me when you have a problem or when you are in trouble right?" he asked.
Geet nodded her head slightly.
Arnav continued," if you don't want to tell me anything now it is just fine by me. Just remember that i will always remain by your side without judging you ever. Alright?"
Geet had tears in her eyes as she hugged him tightly and said," thank you. thank you for understanding me."
In a city like Mumbai where everything goes faster than the hands of the clock it is very important to have a person whom you can trust and who will care for you and look after you without judging you in the slightest. And especially when a girl doesn't have her parents near her when she struggles to establish herself it is all the more difficult to stay without a good friend and guide.
To say in a few word Arnav fulfilled every criteria for being a good friend and helping Geet... perhaps she would not have reached the stage that she is in today without his help.
Arnav caressed her hair and said," Chalo, don't cry now. Let's finish our coffee and then I must leave for home."
Both of them finished their coffee while chatting comfortably with each other.
It was only after Arnav left that Geet broke down. She remembered the last two days. From the time Maan talked to her... to the time they had practically made love in that small corner of the disc... She was so ashamed of herself when she remembered his touch on her entire body. It was a very unclean feeling and she cursed herself for this.
She did not have the right to have a sexual relationship with anyone. She was unmarried and moreover she wanted to be an actress and getting into a relationship with any man even a mere sexual fling can spell disaster for her career.
She remembered Maan's words of caution that day in the disc.
I get whatever I want whether someone likes it or not... You have only a month to think through my offer...
Even remembering those words sent tremors down her spine.
She knew that it was not a hollow threat. She had been trying in this industry for the past one year and it was very clear to her as well as to everyone else in her vicinity that whatever was touched by THE MAAN SINGH KHURANA turned to gold.
Those women who had an affair with him not only earned money but also earned both name and fame worldwide.
Should she try giving in to him??? She does have a lot to gain if she does... The first thoughts of giving in to him and his claim surfaced in her mind.
But they broke away as soon as she thought about them. Feeling impure with the direction her thoughts were taking she ran to the bathroom and started ppouring mugs of cold water onto herself, over her clothes.
After sometime, being tired with the emotional war within herself, she dragged herself tyo the bedroom, changed her clothes and went off to sleep.

Maan on the other side was in a fierce rage. He had already fire five of his servants as they geared up to get his mansion ready for his annual holi bash.
All tyhe servants were on their toes running about the entire mansion, fearing the wrath of Maan Singh Khurana.
But the man himself paced about his room like a caged lion.
How dare she??? The little minx of a girl!!! She thinks that because I gave her my attention she can do anything she likes and say anything she wants???
But it is not so easy. Maan Singh Khurana was not a man to take his insults so easily. He will not rest until he had finally won the battle.
And this is a mega battle, Miss Geet Handa.
He could still recall with vivid clarity how comfortable she was with the touch of those two other men. he could also remember her flinch away from his touch and his anger peaked at the thought.
Giving a cruel smile he said to himself," You started the game and I will be the one eneding it. My part in this game will start from tomorrow and I am sure that this Holi is definitely going to be a memorable one in both our lives..."
