Geet came back after her tiring day and thumped on the couch shouting...mama...mama...!!

Uff...!!...I am coming...rano came from the kitchen wiping her hands in the towel...why are you shouting geet...??...what happened...??

Mama I am hungry...she made a cute baby face melting rano's anger within minutes. Rano shook her head at her cute child and her nautanki and replied...I'll just send your hot chocolate, okay...??

She was about to move back into the kitchen, when geet called her again...

Mama, where is meera...??...is she doing night duty again...??...she asked with a sad face as she didn't got to spend some time with her from past one week.

No beta, meera came back much earlier today. She was not feeling well so she is resting in her room...rano replied back.

What...??...geet stood uperect hearing it...meera is here...??...what happened to her...??...I'll just check on her...mama send my and meera's hotchocolate in meera's room, okay...!!

Saying so geet ran to meera's room forgetting all her tiredness, while rano smiled at her daughter.

Arey maan, come inside...naina said seeing him standing at the door.

So maan, how did the meeting with the mehra's went...??...raj asked keeping his magzine down...this project will fetch great profit for KC...!!

The meeting went well dad and Mr. Mehra was quite impressed with our work...he answered sitting beside naina on the bed. Naina, who was highly irritated seeing the duo getting on with their business in the house, suddenly interrupted...raj keep your business talks out of my bedroom. Let my son breath in peace atleast at home...!!

Maan chuckled at the frown that covered raj's face after getting scolded by naina, while raj made a puppy face as if saying...what did I do...??

Shaking his head, maan gently lie down keeping his head in naina's lap and she very lovingly caressed his hair...

Kitna kam karvate hain aap maan se...see how thin he has grown...!!

Mom, I am fine and I like to work...maan replied saving his dad from another scolding.

I can see how much fine you are...naina retorted...let my bahu come in this house then I'll see how you neglect yourself and your family in your work...!!

Before maan could complete his sentence, naina cut in...now, don't you dare try to delay the marraige. I have waited long enough and now, I want geet in KM as soon as possible...!!

Maan saw his parents again misunderstanding the situation, but this time instead of correcting them, he let them win as it would save him from his father's not so pleasing jibes. So, making a defeated face he said...if you both have already decided to make this marraige happen soon then be it...!!

Thats better...naina smiled seeing his son consenting on their demand and added...I'll call panditji tomorrow itself and fix an appropriate date for your wedding...!!

Maan couldn't have been more happy than this, but didn't showed on his face. Suddenly remembering something he said...its fine mom, if you want the marriage soon, but could you please fix it atleast after a month as one of our major project has started and I won't be able to get free time for the wedding...!!

Hmm, thats fine...I'll see to it...naina said ruffling his hair.

Geet rushed tothe room only to find meera sleeping on the bed. She quietly went inside and sat beside her. Now, she can easily see her face and was shocked o see her condition. She had become so pale and week and there was dried tear marks on her cheeks giving the proof of her incessant crying. Geet was feeling terrible to see her state. She knew there was a big problem her friend is facing and she felt even more guilty thinking she didn't noticed meera's misery in her own blissfulness...!!

Making up her mind, she ran her hand on meer's hair and beckoned her softly...

Meera...wake up...she patted her cheeks to bring her out from her deep slumber as she knew meera had not eaten anything after her arrival. Soon meera opened her eyes, frowning at the disturbance in her sleep and saw geet staring at her.

Rubbing her eyes, she got up...

Hey geet, when did you came...??

A while before...geet answered handling her the spects...so, how come you are early today...??

Woh, I was not feeling well so my senior granted me leave...!!

Oh thank god atleast your senior has brains to see that otherwise the way you have been working from past week, it seems as if you are hell bent on killing yourself...geet blasted getting furious on seeing her pathetic condition.

Meera knew this was coming. She tried to handle the situation and calm down the furious lioness...geet yaar, please relax. I am not that unwell and its just seasonal...!!

Oh really...!!...you know what meera, though I am not a doctor, but I am not a fool too. I can exactly see what has caused your illness...geet was totally hyper...what the hell you were thinking doing double shifts from last seven days...??...have you seen yourself...??

I am sorry yaar...meera knew there was no way to calm her down now, so opted for the last way...yeh work load itna tha ki I couldn't keep a check on my health. I am sorry...!!...she made a puppy face knowing well that it was melting her friend.

Don't act smart okay...and don't make that face, it won't help...geet picked up the intercom and asked a servant to bring their dinner along with some medicines.

After keeping the intercom down, she turned to meera and said in a softer tone this time...

Meera, what is bothering you...??...I know there is some problem, please tell me...!!

No geet, you are getting all wrong...its just...just the work load...nothing else...!!

Geet held her chin, which she had drooped down inorder to lower her eyes and said...do you really think you can fool me...??...bachpan se janti hun tujhe...!!...she sighed seeing her reluctant face and said...if you don't want to tell me, its okay...but please don't neglect your health...pressing her hands she asked...itna toh mere liye kar sakti hai na...??

Meera nodded with misty eyes seeing her friend's love for her, but she couldn't bring herself to bother her with her problems, when she is in her best phase of life. The dinner arrived and rano came along to check on meera's health. She insisted on calling a doctor, but meera convinved her that she would be fine after resting. So they had their dinner, while geet tried to lighten the atmosphere by cribbing about maan and others, so that meera could feel better. And indeed her efforts showed results as meera for the time being forgot her pain and laughed heartily.

After tucking her in the covers, geet came out and gave a last glance before going...

I know you are hiding something from me, but try as much as you can, I'll definitely find out the reason behind your tears. I am not going to let you be alone meera and will bring back your lost smile...and that is geet handa's promise...!!

Vicky came back and saw his parents along with maan and dev in the living room. Raj, maan and dev were talking something related to business, while naina was busy setting the table.

Arey vicky, aa gaye tum...chalo...come lets have dinner...she called others too to join for dinner.

Vicky, how is your practice going on...??...maan asked as they take their respective places. Raj though pretended to ignore them, but all his attention was towards their conversation.

Ji bhai, its going fine...vicky replied dryly.

Others didn't noticed the sadness in his tone, but it didn't went unnoticed by maan as well as raj.

Good...maan commented, but didn't probed him further.

They finished their dinner with their usual talks, while vicky was oddly quiet the entire time and later retired to their respective rooms. Vicky too went back to his room. He took his guitar and sat on the big bean bag tightening the strings. But all his attention was diverted to sneha and her thoughts.

Maan stood at the threshold of his room and saw vicky's tensed state. He knew there was something troubling him and also knew that he won't share it with anyone.

Sighing he entered the room and stood infront of him. Vicky, who was looking at the guitar's strings, saw his foot and looked up...

Bhai...??...he was about to get up, when maan pushed him back and took the seat opposite to him.

Relax vicky...maan said making himself comfortable on the bean bag. Maan had changed into his vest and tracks similar to vicky's.

Bhai, aap yahan...??...anything serious...??...vicky was confused seeing maan in his room at that time as he knew it was his time to meet geet.

Yes vicky, thats what I wanted to ask...anything serious...??...why do you look tense...??...maan replied questioning him.

Nahi bhai, its nothing...vicky averted his gaze due to which maan immediately caught his lie.

You know vicky that you can't lie to me, so why do you even try...??...maan took his guitar from his hands and kept it aside...now tell me whats the problem...??

Vicky knew he was caught, but he didn't knew how to share his problem...

Woh bhai...actually...he didn't knew what to say as maan had never taken him seriously when it comes to girl, but nonetheless he couldn't hide anything from maan...actually bhai...its about a girl...!!

He looked at maan to see his reaction, but there was hardly any change in his expression. He was as calm as before, so vicky continued...

I met a girl few weeks back. Her father runs an orphanage...he paused and remembered all the time he met her...I don't know bhai but, she is so different. Whenever I meet her it feels so strange and I feel a kind of attachment to her...he looked at maan for a second and resumed his talk...I know bhai that I have been with so many girls before, but never had I been so much affected...she has this weird effect on me. If she is happy I feel so contented and if she's sad, it hurts me a lot...!!

Last time when I met her,she was so troubled. Every time I close my eyes her crying fae comes infront of me...Damn, I don't know what to do...??...he rubbed his face with his palms trying to ease his tension.

Till now maan didn't speak a word and was listening quitely. He noticed each and every emotion that crossed vicky's face. And he knew exactly what the problem was.

Suddenly, maan stood up from his seat, took vicky's guitar and gave it to him saying...

Vicky, your concert is very close. So, you concentrate on that...he patted his back and went towards the door. Vicky silently watched his elder brother walking towards the door with a confused expression as he just now disclosed his biggest problem and he simply walked away.

Maan stopped at the door and without turning back, he said...

Vicky, your problem would be solved very soon with time and as far as that girl's problem is concerned, you are there for her...I mean you can help her in solving it...!!

Saying so maan left the room. Vicky sat there pondering on maan's words. though the first part was still not clear in his head, but he understood the second part. A contented smile came on his face as he thought...yes bhai, you are right. I'll definitely solve her problems...!!

Raj witnessed everything from outside hiding behind the door and was so proud of his sons seeing their bonding and love. Another happiness crept up his heart after knowing that his wild lad is on his way to stability...!!

Geet came back to her room, but sleep was miles away. Quiting the idea of sleeping, she moved out in the balcony. The wind was cool and soothing having a very serene effect on the surrounding and thus calming her restless heart...!!

Closing her eyes she stood leaning over the railing, feeling the smooth breeze, when two pairs of arms encircled her waist. She didn't need to turn to know, who it was. Without opening her eyes, she leaned back, resting her weight on his body...!!

What are you thinking mishty...??...he asked in his husky voice.

Hmm...maan...meera is not well...!!

He instantly knew she was worried as her friends meant a lot to her. Hugging her tightly from back, he whispered in her ear...don't worry sweet heart, she'll be fine very soon...!!

But maan, she is having some problem, but she is not ready to share with me. Ab agar mujhe batayegi nahi toh how will I help her...??...she complained making a sad face.

Maan turned her around and made her face him...listen mishty, give her some time...jitna main meera ko janta hun, I think she is a very stable girl. Agar koi problem hogi bhi toh woh khud tackle kar legi or agar na kar payi toh yeh hai na...hitting his head with hers...uski pagal friend...she'll help her...!!

Saying so he smiled at her making her smile in return. Finally getting relaxed, she hugged him tightly as if nothing in the world could be more satisfying and soothing...!!

I love you maan...saying so she kissed his chest on his heart.

I love you too, princess...!!...he held her to him and said...you know mishty, mom is going to fix our marraige date tomorrow...!!

Geet jerked away from him and almost sreamed in excitement...WHAT...??

Yes, why...??...aren't you happy...??

Ofcourse I am...sheinstantly replied to which he raiased his brows teasingly...Oh ho, someone is too eager, huh...??

Not knowing how to hide her blush she took her usual fighter way...Oh please, who'll be eager to get married to a bore like you...!!...and jerked back her hair in attitude.

But before she could move an inch, maan forcefully pulled her to him crashing her straight in his chest...so, what were you saying...??...I am a bore...??...he nuzzled in her hair giving goosebums all over her body...well, too bad handa...you are stuck with this bore for the next seven lives and even beyond...!!

And what if I decline to marry you...??...she mischieviously asked.

You don't have a choice dear. Aur agar koi na nukur ki na, toh utha kar mandap tak le jaunga...he gave a firm reply looking straight in her eyes.

Achcha...??...she gave a daring look and added softly...pehle pakar ke toh dikhao...!!...and pushed him freeing herself. She ran inside with maan behind her...laughing...giggling...they enjoyed their tom and jerry game and finally maan caught her from the waist and both landed on the bed...panting...!!

Calming themselves they laid there for a while simply looking at each other. Slowly maan got up from the bed and placed her properly on the bed, covering her with the conforter...good night mishty...he kissed her forehead lovingly...sweet dreams...!!

Good night...she gave a big smile and closed her eyes. In few minutes she was dead to the world. Maan kept admiring her for sometime and later went back to his room.

The conference hall was set for another meeting with Mr. Mehra's son. Alisha discussed the major points with her group and updated maan, who was satisfied with the way work was going.

Sneha had to take half day leave as her father was not well and thus geet was helping maan in covering up for sneha, which was thoroughly disliked by alisha. But she could hardly do anything about it. Soon Mr. Mehra's arrival was informed and adi escorted him to the confrence hall. Maan saw him approach and extended his hand to welcome him...

Maan singh khurana...he said with his head held high, in a killing attitude. The man smirked slightly at his attitude and replied...Sandeep mehra...!!

Alisha gave him a cunning smirk from behind which he returned through his eyes, without letting anyone else know it. Both men looked into each other's eye and maan felt a very strange feeling about him. Something some...weird and wrong...!!

But before he could think ahead, sandeep spoke...its a pleasure meeting you Mr. Khurana...heard alot about you...and gave one of his weird smile.

Maan simply shook hands with him and nodded gesturing him to take his seat. The presentation started and alisha explainedhim the design in detail with adi completing the presentation with the budget details. Everything was upto their liking. Lights came back and the dark conference room was bright again.

So, Mr. Sandeep...maan started only to be interrupted in the mid.

Call me sandy, sandeep is too uncool for me...he said wih his stupid grin plastered on his face.

Fine, sandy...maan said after thinking for a second...as you are going to handle the project, we wanted to have your opinion. Your dad is fine with the design,but if you want any changes...you can discuss it with adi or alisha as they will be supervising it...!!

Mr. Khurana, there is no problem with the designs or anything. I am really happy with your work, but...

But...??

But I have one condition...he stated while maan looked at him with a frown on his face.

Condition...??...maan was not liking it at all...for your information...sandy, all the conditions have been already discussed with your father and MSK do not work on other's conditions...!!...his temper was rising with this man's guts to pose condition infront of him after finalising the agreement.

Relax mr. khurana, there is no need to get hyper...sandy suddenly changed his tone seeing maan getting agitated...just listen to me once, please...!!

Maan calm down and indicated him to go further...I just want you to be a part of this project...!!

Seeing maan's perplexed expressions sandy elaborated...what I mean to say is, I want you to handle the project alongwith alisha.

Everyone looked at the maan to know his decision. Geet knew maan does not like changes in his already made decisions and she was proved right the very next second...

Well, sandy, as you can see my staff is efficient enough to handle to your project. So, I don't see any need to change the head...maan replied with a straight face.

See mr.khurana, I am not questioning your staff's capabilities. I just want your involvement...sandy didn't detered.

I am always there to guide them if the need arises, so why the fuss...??...maan still appeared calm.

I am sorry Mr. khurana, its just that its the most important project for my hotel business and I want nothing but the best and I also know that inspite of being new, you are the best in this field...!!...sandy completed and held his breath to hear from maan.

Maan didn't knew why, but his insistance was giving him some negative wibes. But he also knew that the project was important for KC's reputation and profit. So, finally maan agreed...

Fine...if you want that...then I'll handle the project myself...!!...saying so maan turned his attention to the rest and said...I guess that'll be all. Adi, alisha take the necessary details from Mr. sandy and start the work immediately...!!

Right sir...both nodded.

Alright then, Mr.sandy, your dream project will turn into reality very soon...maan said and got up from his seat, while others followed suit.

Sandy smiled at maan and then said all of a sudden...by the way mr. khurana, I attended he new year's party at your house last week, but chad toleave early so didn't get the chance to congratulate you for your engagement...extending his hand with an evil smile plastered on his face he said...congratulations...!!

Thank you...maan replied curtly shaking his hands. The conference hall had only few people now and as they were about to move out, sandy spoke again...uh, excuse me mr. khurana...I heard your fiance works with you in KC, so if you don't mind I would like to congratulate her too...!!

Maan looked at his face for a minute and then turned to geet gesturing her to come near him. Geet came and stood beside maan with a smile on her face, while maan held her close holding her waist as if claiming her his infron of sandy...giving a kind of warning and said...she is my fiance...and soon to be wife...Geet...!!

Sandy noticed maan's little warning, but shrugg it off and extended his hand...congratulation miss geet...!!

Geet hesitatingly looked at maan and forwarded his hand after his consent. But soon withdrew it after a brief handshake.

Alisha too saw maan's proective hold on geet and thought with burning anger...till when maan...??

Okay, mr.khurana I shall take your leave now...sandy said and then turned to geet saying...hope to meet you again, miss geet...!!...and went out along with others. Alisha too left with adi to discuss something leaving maan and geet alone in the conference hall...

Maan...!!

Maan was surprised to see geet calling him informally in office and knew something was bothering her. Holding her through her waist maan brought her close to him and asked in a soft voice...what happened geet...??...why are you sounding so low...??

Geet simply placed her head on his chest and said in the same low voice...pata nahi...I am having this weird feeling like something is not right...!!

Hey...he cupped her face and caress her cheeks softly...what happened mishty...??...kisi ne kuch kaha kya...??

No, just like that...!!

Don't worry sweet heart, I am here na...he hugged her assuringly...nothing will happen.You trust your maan, right...??

She nodded and hugged him back feeling peace, while maan looked ahead pensively...!!

Sandy moved inside the lift and pressed the button for ground floor...Man...!!...what a beauty she is...!!...he remembered her lovely face and that perfectly shaped body and found himself immensely aroused just by her mere thought...!!...Geet, just your thought are turning me on, wonder what will happen when...a sly grin appeared on his face with his further thought process.

The sound indicated the arrival of his destination, bringing him out from his sickening thoughts and the door opened. He looked ahead to step out and saw a girl picking up few files that were scattered on the ground. Probably those files fell from her hands due to some reasons in which he was least interested as all his attention was towards the girl, who had her face covered with her long hair.

Not bad mr. khurana, your office is filled with eye candies...lucky man...he thought grinning and moved towards the girl to have a look of her face. But before he could call her or do something, his secretary called him from behind...sir your meeting with the chopras has been preponed and we will have to leave fast to reach there...!!

Cursing his ill-luck, sandy immediately left from there. He had his back towards the girl on the ground,the moment his secretary beckoned him. So, as soon as sneha looked up due to the voice found to strange men conversing something regarding a meeting. She silently picked up her files and moved inside the lift.

Vicky came to KC with a new found confidence and happiness. With maan's last night words, he was sure of one that whatever he may feel for sneha, he will never let her suffer for any reason what so ever. He wanted to bring back a genuine smile on her face and only one person was able to help him in that case...his doll. So without wasting any minute, he was there to meet geet...to know more about sneha as she was her friend.

Parking his car, he moved out and was on his way to the lift, when suddenly bumped into someone, who was talking on the phone and not looking ahead. The result was instant and the phone fell down breaking into two peices.

Are you blind or what...??...the man suddenly shouted on vicky getting extremely angry at the mishap.

Hey...I am sorry for that...vicky apologised seeing the condition ofhis phone,but the man was no where near listening...

Oh relly, how convinient is that for you to get away with a damn sorry...!!

Now vicky was not liking it a bit...hey look man, it was not my fault at thefirst place, but still as your phone got damaged I said I am sorry. But lookslikeyou don't understand the word, so from next time better look ahead while walking...spating angrily vicky stormed out from there.

How dare he...the man was totally furious now, but his secretary diverted his mind...sir, please we have to leave...its urgent...!!

Giving a last look at the retreating figure of vicky, sandy walked out of the parking area...!!
