Part 3
Since that meeting Maan and Geet both hit it off and became friends. They would go to dinner together and shared a very comfortable relationship. They both were attracted to each other but didn't want to rush anything. Their late night calls included them talking about anything from work to family.
It had been 6 months to their friendship and they both knew that it was time to take their relationship to the next level.
Maan had finally decided to ask out Geet as he could no longer handle being away from her. He made all the arrangments, he had a beach vacated and had set up a candle light dinner. He arranged a path of roses leading up to the the table and made sure to have all of Geet's favorites for dinner. Now came the hard part actually having to ask her out.
Maan called up Geet to their usual cafe where they hang out and he hoped for the best.
"Hey Geet"
"Hi Maan...is evrything okay you sounded really tense on the phone"
"Yeah everythings fine I...I...just..."
"Maan why you stammering?" asked a surprised Geet
"Woh i wanted to ask if you had any plans today?" asked a nervous Maan
"No i get off work early so i thought i just go home and relax"
"Well since your not doing anything would you want to go out for dinner today with me as in like a date?"
"I would love to" said a blushing Geet
Initially she had been surprised thinking Maan would never make the first move and eventually she would have to do something but now since he had she was excited.
"Great i will pick you up at 8" grinned Maan
Then he did something totally unexpected ...on his way out he kissed Geet's cheek. Leaving behind a shocked Geet.
At Night
Geet pov
It was almost time for Maan to pick me up. Since its our first "date"I wanted to look nice so i opted for a nice long flowy summer dress with my hair tied up. The door bell rang and my heartbeat stopped as i saw Maan standing in front of me wearing his trademark white shirt with black jeans. Did he look Hot or what. I was shamelessly checking him out.
Maan cleared his throat and i came out of my dream world.
"Hey you look beautiful" I heard him sayplacing another kiss on my cheek leaving me weak in my knees.
"Thank you" i said whiling blushing as red as a tomato.
He smiled and held my hand in his as we walked to his car. We got in and throughout the ride didnt say anything to eachother. We were just enjoying each others prescense.He stopped the car and i looked around and saw we were at the beach. He helped me get out and I felt the air get knocked out of me as i saw the sight in from of me. I couldnt believe he did all this for me. I turned to him and looked at him in awe and squeezed his hand in mine letting him know how i was feeling. He smiled back and lead me to the table. We sat down and ate our dinner in silence stealing glances at each other. After we were done Maan held his hand in mine.
Maan pov
I was so nervous standing outside her door. It took all the courage in me to ring the door bell and when she opened the door i was blown away with her beauty. Her dress hugging her in all the right places and her curls lightly touching her face. I wanted to just sweep her off her feet and kiss her but i controlled my self and made due with a kiss on her cheek. I saw her checking me out and i couldnthelp but smirk at her reaction. Once we reached the beach and had our dinner i couldnt wait any longer and had to confess how much i loved her.
"Geet I have been wanting to tell you something for a long time but never got the courage to actually say it. From the first moment that I saw you I knew you were special and that gave me the courage to actually come and talk to you. The day you came into my life I realized the importance of loving someone and have that one special person by your side. Geet I love you and I want you to be my special person."
By the time Maan was done tears were rolling down Geet's cheek. She was so touched by her confession that she didn't even realize when she started crying. Not finding any way to respond Geet got out of her chair, walked over to Maan, made him stand and sealed his lips with her own. Their first kiss was filled with love that couldn't be expressed in words. After breaking away breathlessly from the kiss both smiled at each other.
" Did that answer your question Mr. Khurana?"
Since that day these two have been inseparable. The best part of their relationship was that no one knew about it. Thy hid it from their family and friends only because they jut wanted to enjoy living in a world where it was just them.
Maneet would take time out from work every couple of weeks for a holiday.
Present
Clinging onto to Maan's arm Geet lay her head on his shoulder.
"Maan I can't wait to spend these next few days with you"
