Plus the attack on the same PH and CVs who gave us two wonderful years of GHSP!! The time for bashing is over long past..it should have been when they started messing with characters and the show!! But that time everybody was behind positivity and praises only...Now with just 5 days left, what is the use?😕

Regarding the fanatic campaign...

The chances of Geet continuing is pretty slim..so little bit of gratitude and appreciation for the team will be the nicest thing to do now!!

Keeping hope and working hard for a cause is all good, but I hope people also keep a check on realty!!
In strictly my opinion Geet is not a profitable venture for the production house or channel or the actors!! The juice has ran out long back, after marriage (or more precisely after Geet-Dev revelation) every interesting track was poorly executed and eventually flopped!! The so called internet fan base is no use to the channel in the TRP race!!

And its selfish of fans to ask brilliant talents like Drashti and Gurmeet to waste their time in this show!! Everybody would want promotion in their job, so would Gurti as well as the production team working behind the scenes!! Give them the chance to grow!!

So I would like to thank all those Directors, CVs, PH and actors for giving the best serial I've ever seen in Indian Telly!!
👏

Rolzz: Kitthe hai tu...U know how glad I am to see you here 🤗 🤗 🤗 Brilliantly said gal, brava 👏👏👏👏👏👏

I just want to also give a thank you to you for such thoughtful post. I have been a faithful fan of GHSP since very first episode. I LOVE the lead actors and think they always do the most superb job even when they have less to work with. You never ever see them give less than 100%.

I just wish people would turn it around and see it in reverse way. In life most things just come and go - we must accept this and really enjoy the good moments to the fullest. Being told a fantastic story that always leaves you wondering, "What will happen next?" is one of life's greatest pleasures, I think. And being able to follow a lovely story for almost two full years! It's too good, yaaron - we should all be grateful because the story will remain with us.

As to the leads - will we not follow their next projects with the greatest happiness?? We all wish them nothing but success and happiness and long productive careers - I will always look for them in their projects to come and be delighted to see them in whatever avatar. Their talent should rightly be spread out to new and challenging projects that will keep them happy.

So..instead of big protest...what about big party? You know how people often say, "Don't cry because it's over...smile because it happened!" So chak de Geet fans, look on the bright sides. It was a really great ride while it lasted. Thank you thank you thanks you to GC and DD - you made us so happy.

As we all know, it is a fact of life - all good things must come to an end. Some do so gracefully, some do painfully, struggling to let go.

Looking back, I think the best phase of the serial got over after the beautiful confession episode. After that, looks like the creatives decided to take a collective vacation and the serial started on it's nosedive.

Instead of using the characters they had so painstakingly etched (and the brilliant actors who brought them to life), to explore further into relationships and the influences shaping the characters, they just seemed to be lost about how to proceed... making one wonder if they even had a story to tell.

Then started the painful phase of being inspired by various movies to proceed with the story!!! This resulted in assassinating the very characters that were so thoughtfully put together.

The viewers who left the show right after the confession episode were probably the smarter ones - they have only beautiful memories of this show.
Some of us who persevered on (forgiving tracks that didn't make sense) in the hope that the show would return to it's former glory, are now left to wonder - was it worth our tolerance?

Silcop: Thanks buddy! It is better to let go rather than hang on as you said and be a hangar on 😆

You summed it up quite well 👏 👏👏

Medha: You touched a chord there...🤗

Numbers speak very loudly

Thank you Ms.Anonymous (undisclosed) 🤗 but mate, YOU have put a conditional note on unconditional love saying "BRUTAL" "INHUMANE" etc., sorry! But how can we decide what is brutal and inhumane? Is "WHAT" the self-proclaimed defenders of GHSP doing humane and non-brutal?????

I should thank Medha for echoing my thoughts. I agree with her 200 per cent. I am grateful to all those who were part of the team which brought out the sheer brilliance of the characters and their story up to December 2010. In fact I think the show still had a life up to March 2011. The advent of a particular screen play writer who lacks imagination or intelligence to carry forward the story and the PH's refusal to throw out such mediocrity, despite all our protests, baffles me. For that I will not excuse them. Yes, they gave us a feast at first but started serving us such trash that caused serious indigestion. While Dev's forgiveness was something many found indigestible, it could have been handled in a much more sensitive and meaningful manner but they failed to do so. Since I was hopelessly hooked to Maaneet, I put up with the crap for their sakes but it is saddening to witness what my beloved couple have been reduced to.

I am not grateful to the channel though. People at the helm of this channel do not know what they want. During the last one and a half year they have changed the theme of their channel at least three times. Geet was started when the channel's aim was to change a youth based channel into one which focuses on women empowerment. Granted that the show did not garner much support when it was solely driven by this ideology. They then tried to restore the youth tag to the channel and we got one of the most heart warming love stories on Indian T.V. Had they stuck to this, maybe the show could have done better but somewhere down the line the thinking changed again and they wanted to make the channel a family oriented one in preparation for the relaunch of the channel as Star Desh. Needless to say this was the time they introduced the Amritsar circus which sealed the fate of the show. If this was not enough they kept giving false hopes to fans that they were keen to continue the show while all they wanted was at least some audience left when they relaunch SO as SD. I do not have much respect for people who cannot take decisions and the people at the channel came across as indecisive to me.

As to the show being relaunched in the new SD, I have no such unrealistic hopes. So I will not demand for it. I doubt GC and DD will ever team up again, thanks to their crazy fans who unnecessarily created problems in their personal lives by mixing reel and real. I would rather that they get meaty roles in more established channels and succeed in their careers. My love for Maaneet will never diminish and I still take pleasure viewing all the episodes of the golden GHSP era on my ipod everyday during my journey to and from my office.

you are welcome...i didn't write the post myself...but it could be understood as poetic license...so to speak...brutal and inhumane...are terms used to express more than anything the feeling of having something loved snatched from you in this case...how ever reasonable that maybe...its not for me to judge...but its a fact that many are attached to the show further than reason can really explain...

finally iam seeing a sensible n mature post from someone,,otherwise iam sick of seeing save geet post. bashing PH n forcing them not to shut down show n visiting channel office won;t help. such type of things also happend in DMG times, but what happened, nothing na. honestly, GHSP lost its charm long back , cv hv wasted many potential tracks. they cud hv done handled it in better way...but they failed. its not a good thing to bind actors just for ur obsession. they also hv their priority, they also want to try something different...gurmeet n drashti both r very talented n deserve something better, which can explore their talent. n if star desh agree to continue wid ghsp it dosen;t mean it will never end, its just a show n it has to end one day. we can;t hold it for lifetime. n iam glad that its ending on a happy note without butchering d characters anymore.

a big thank u to GHSP team for giving us a lovely show n heavenly couple maneet .ghsp is d one of d best show that i loved n will always remain in my heart. thank u GURMEET N DRASHTI for putting ur soul in maan n geet n to make d character alive.
🤗
