Ok so today I am not going to do a take on the episode just yet, because I haven't really figured out how I feel about it and I am still in shock after the precap. I guess that will come out as I discuss with you all. But I wanted to talk about something else, which is that I think Vikram is the first person on the show to call MSK "tum".
Because of her register, even Dadima says "aap" so I have literally almost never heard MSK being referred to as tum by anybody on the show, except, I think, Brij at the wedding but that was really only one scene and when he was Balwant Singh (but that was a different situation althogether). In that context, I find it really disorienting that the stalker refers to Maan as tum, coupled with a tone of amusement and disdain.
This and lines like "be a good boy" were really jarring moments for me. It is actually painful for Maan to be referred to as tum and be addressed as a "boy". This is the first character on the show who blatantly disrespects MSK and seems to be totally unafraid of him. I think he is running only for the thrill of being chased and getting away, rather than because he is scared of Maan.
Every other villain, NT, Brij, Pammi, MSK was able to rise above them and they had to show some respect but this one is totally unafraid and almost wild in his villainy. It's actually excellent character development to see how MSK will deal with someone he can't quell with one look, far from it!
Loved the Maaneet scene in bed, it was adorable! But I felt the chase was a little repetitive.
The precap was shocking 😲 but then on second thought it could well be a dream of Geet's. But on THIRD thought 😆 how many times are they going to repeat the Geet waking up petrified and Maan pacifying her sequence, so it might just be real and if it is real then can we hope for some reference to the ML? Could all the old pictures of Geet be reference to this?
Instead of wiping the blood-sindoor off, why didn't MSK send it for forensic testing?
