I was stalkin the den today while going to campus...and i believe it was boogly that had said that DD has evolved from Muskaan to Geet...in which i don't agree cause i don't think Muskaan was even a role.
You see, Muskaan the character was NOT at all a challenge for DD! In fact DD herself has said in her old interviews while she was doing DMG...that the character was pretty much her. She didn't have to sink into the character and what not to understand it, she just had to act like how she is in her every day life. She wasn't given any special direction, she was told to do whatever she would normally do in a similar situation.
When she got the role of Geet Handa, and during her recent interviews when the show has just began, she said she didn't have any confidence in herself to play this role. It was JUST NOT HER...she used to cry everyday on the sets saying to her PH and writers to find someone else to do the role. Geet the role was VERY challenging for her...and i have followed this show from day 1, and her acting skills have improved day by day ever since the show has started. Her crying had gotten better and better to a point where the audience would actually think is she really crying?
I still remember that airport scene, where she was left all alone by that "grrr"...that scene still haunts me till this day...i cried buckets watching that scene...and i didn't have courage to watch it again...DD cried like a baby in that episode...and i wanted to just grab her in my arms and console her that i will find that dumb jerk...and kick his ass for what he did...he won't dare to look at you ever again it just felt SOOO REAL.
The reason why these scenes are coming out with such ease for DD is not only because she has improved from last year to now...by like A LOT...but also because the director then and now were the same.
When GHSP was at its MOST dramatic phase, in HP sundeep was the director...with Noel Smith. This is why the scenes are sooo flawless due to the perfect direction and vision of not only the director, but for an actor to actually see the same vision and be able to portray it on TV flawlessly!
Muskaan, wasn't even a role if you tell me...Geet NOW is a real role...with sooo many shades...and i feel that geet handa is what made Drashti Dhami today.
Just like how i say that Maan Singh Khurana has made Guru TODAY.
Geet and Maan has brought out the real actors in Gurti...these very challenged roles...not only showed them what they are capable of doing...but showed them that they are the BEST at what they do.
There is a time when your career really brings out the 100% in you...and today we have an example right in front of us...GHSP brought out the BEST actors in Gurti...and we have been witnessing this from day 1.
