WOW that was quite some episode! I loved all of it but for one scene, no points for guessing. 🤢

BUT now that I have that negativity out of my system let's start at the beginning. The old banner is back with Maaneet and only Maaneet under the umbrella aka my DP!!! I could not be happier as, given certain news we learned today, I know it heralds good things to come, and bad things to go! YAY!

OMG! The dialogues today, the dialogues!!! I fall in love with Barry on a daily basis because of dialogues like these. I have to say Geet was very patient with the stalker on the phone. She heard him before coming out with her jaanleva dialogues! When she said "Babaji ne Geet ko sirf Maan ke liye banaya hain" my heart just zoomed with sympathetic indignation. But then the stalker was equally nimble with his tongue and he said he would change babaji ka banaya hua taqdeer to get Geet. 😲 He is really worthy opponent for our Maaneet!

And he proved this once again when he made his entry! They monitored everything but he snuck in with the band, that yeah, none other than Nando the great had ordered as her special gift. How stupid is this girl? God. But the stalker took advantage and clearly knew every detail of the party plans to figure out the best way to get in.

Ok now to the controversial topic of the song sequence. I still maintain that the song was perfect for the situation. However, I am disappointed in the choreographer who seemed to be under the impression that he was choreographing a fast-paced, dedicated dance number. What's more, they had to learn this dance on GC's first day back on set. Why didn't they just make it a slow dance with all of the caresses and touches from Maan intact but without the random steps thrown in that didn't really match each other. Basically I have a contention with the dance and only the dance. The song was perfect, the situation was perfect and Maaneet were hot but the dance had no consistent style or flow. The circus quartet were hopping around, Maaneet did Bollywood, Salsa, and any number of other random steps when they could have just danced simply with Maan holding tight and doing all the cute, romantic gestures, like the lighter (which I loved) and the caress of the hair, the kneeling down.

All in all it was total paisa vasool and I loved it. Agar stalker shaatir hain to humara Maan bhi kuch kam nahin! I loved how he found the poor guitarist in the room (he has made shadow detection an art since the first HP visit 😆) and untied him. Unfortunately this left Geet at the mercy of the stalker's obsessive ardour. I can't wait for tomorrow when she will shriek Maan's name as we saw in the segment with her and VS.
