What exactly was your first impression of Gurmeet when you saw him drink that can of coke in his introductory scene? Did you honestly find him good looking or did he grow onto you?

I discovered Geet in January while flipping channels. The first episode I ever caught was the mu dikhai one where Dadi's friends are all gathered around and inspecting Geet. I saw Maan and thought he was the typical saas-bahu husband, with his funny suit and all his rings! 😲 But I was very impressed with his jawline and how masculine he was so I looked the show up and realised how wrong I was about the premise and from then on it became something of an obsession to catch up with the story. He definitely grew on me because I didn't take the show very seriously at first but then started going gaga and being OCD about not missing episodes.

What scene (be specific) did you actually think showed or expressed the fact that Maan had fallen in love with Geet. Question also applies to Geet as well.

I think the turning point for both of them with a moment of complete clarity was the Hoshiyarpur/Rasika trip. Right from when Geet says nothing is more important to her than Maan when he catches her getting off the bus to when he says he is incomplete without her. I think the attraction was always there before this between the two of them but this was the first time Geet thought there was a chance something could happen and so she let herself fall in love and Maan really got to see the seriousness of her past and hence the level of her strength, so what had been an attraction turned into a deep love on that trip.

Which scene perfectly portrayed the couples love for one another?

I would say the scene in the bankruptcy track when Maan is scared to tell Geet that he didn't get the project he went for because he is afraid she will think less of him or be brought down by the news. But Geet reads his mind and puts all his fears to rest without him having to voice them. It was the first time I saw Maan letting Geet in fully and the dialogue that they are adhura/adhuri without each other was like a culmination of everything they had been through for me.

Is there any storylines that you would prefer to see in this show or any other future show? (I.E. A jealousy track that shows Maan getting incredibly jealous and insecure or a new show with Maan being a ruthless dangerous gangster 😳)

Hmmm...so many. But basically ANYTHING to do with Maan's past. I would love to see Sameera but I was even really happy with Pammi the Step Mummy and the history behind the house they stayed in when she took away all that money. I would love to know more about Maan's parents his other siblings etc.

I also have a fantasy of GC as an eccentric, tortured artist. The idea occurred to me when they were painting that Ganesh statue in SBS/B. His long fingers holding a paintbrush just did something for me! Just imagine him shirtless, slathering paint onto a huge canvas. Yum

I have never watched a show prior to Geet with as much interest and investment in the leads. It was all movies before Geet but now movies suck and TV has taken its place for me, as a way of escaping real life. 😃

Is there anything you would like to see more of in this forum? Any suggestions?

I would love to see more discussion, like we had before about story and characterisation (something I wrote looong posts about) but there is really nothing to discuss these days, apart from how annoying Nandini is and how bad Mahesh Pandey's writing is. I can't really blame people for not discussing when I have tried and failed myself with this current non-story. I hope the union leader brings some good drama so we have some relevant material to discuss.

Hmm a movie that did me in that I would love to see Maaneet in is a French movie called Jeux D'Enfants or Love me if you Dare in English. It is about two best friends a boy and a girl who play this game where they keep daring each other to increasingly horrible things. They eventually fall in love but are too wrapped up in the game to tell each other and lots of passion and tragedy ensues.

Others would be Casablanca, Fanaa, and oh! Umrao Jaan! I love me some period drama!

Honestly, I started watching GHSP only from when Maan saves Geet from Brij. So this coke scene, I never watched when the show was aired, but ofcourse I had later watched it on youtube. The first ever scene of a perfect Gurmeet that I watched was his grand entry into KC, that was mind blowing.

What scene (be specific) did you actually think showed or expressed the fact that Maan had fallen in love with Geet. Question also applies to Geet as well.

Although Maan was shown to be attracted to Geet many times for her innocence, beauty, simplicity, hard work and so on, to me I felt both of them expressed (to us) that they have started to fall for the other after the outhouse scene when Maan accuses Geet that she was after his wealth. Maan was shown to almost tell her that he went to the Dargah for her and not for dadima and Geet questioning herself as to why she was not getting angry for all those nasty things Maan had told her and runs after him tot he Dargah to make sure he is safe after seeing all the bad signs of his ill-being.

If you are asking for the first scene that portrayed the couples love, then its Geet going to Hoshiarpur for saving Maan from Rasika's case and Maan coming after her to HP to save her from any possible danger. If you are asking in general, then there are many.

Maan getting jealous track is always welcome (they have never shown one in the show, its always Geet who is getting jealous. A new story? Too many FFs would make me look ono-creative.

I used to watch Uttaran, but no show show has ever obsessed me. Obsession used to be only for big screen stars for me. My longer obsession has been for Surya (Tamil actor - I am Tamilian). But my obsession for Maaneet surprises me, its the longest ever and going on strong.

I wish to only see less of one thing. DDians vs GCians. They are like parallel railway tracks and without the other, GHSP cant travel.

Off topic but what's your favourite movie? NO scratch that. Which movie made you cry and traumatized you to the extent that you absolutely cannot watch it again. (My ones are Devdas, Tere Naam, Kyon Ki, Guzaarish, Kal Ho Na Ho, Gangster, Woh Lamhe, Ram Jaane, Phir Milenge, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (HATE THAT MOVIE) - I was sobbing in those movies)

Anand (Rajesh Khanna-Amitabh starred). More recently Deivathirumagal (Tamil film). I have cried my heart out for Baazigar (and became a crazy SRK fan until I came across Surya). I cried barrels of tears when SRK got beaten up in Pardes (and my UG friends who neither knew Hindi nor were SRK fans ROFLed at me). And yes of course Tare Zameen par.

Now the reason why I asked about the sad movies is because I want to be evil and consider a situation whereby Geet Hui Sabsi Parayi would have a very sad ending. In your opinion which Bollywood or even Hollywood movie ending (re-enacted by Maan and Geet) will make you eat your tissues, sob into your pillow, eat chocolates and grow fat before a tub of icecream? For example if the Devdas ending was applied to Geet, I would have died along with Maan.
Kal ho na ho but with role reversal, coz I can never digest Maan die leaving behind broken Geet.

i know him since mayavi days...but to look at him with that coke can and then when THAVIS got struck into his shirt i was like..oh my jaan..here he is my geet ka hero.😳..i just loved him because that was not my first episode in geet😉..i saw geet only from hum tum ek kamre mein bandh.😳😳..just think about my haalath that time..i was dumstruck and never missed any episode after that😳...and to your surprise i took off from my duty and i saw whole missed episodes from you tube.😉.so for me that can scene was definitely hot😳..☺️..

MAAN always loved this girl...strange girl geet...ever since he met her he thinks about her and her strange family.. their love started when geet faints in maans land(actually geets land😆..when she hides in maans jeep and he finds her and makes her get down and tells her that its his land and not hers😛...)just watch that scene you will find a tiny eye lock.😳..😳so for me maaneet strated thier love journey from there then..😊...

after saving geet from ghundas...remember that rathore project...when she goes back to Amritsar to save maan from being prison-ed.. their entire conversation between them., and the way he tells her COME TO HOME GEET...omgeee... their love is so unique and pure..the way thier conversation was written and the way it has been enacted has fixed this couple in my heart forever...🤗

i was not at all obsessed like this on any one like this before..gurti/maaneet has changed me a lot..😳.😉.. but i liked robbie and kasturi/prem -heer..but robbie and kasturi were my favorite.😊..and ofcourse my teenhood dream couple shiv(iqbal khan)-gowri.how can i forget them.😆...i like them too.😃..

geet can never had a sad ending...because already its very sad to watch this group of comedy circus.😡.. Amritsar group and mp square tearing the essence of my show badly😡😡.if geet ends now as such then this would be the saddest ending to my geet😭..😆..😆...jokes apart..i cannot imagine anything that's happening to my maaneet...😳

what a movie na...deivathirumagal is...so touching and heart wrenching...i just had tears and smile and all sorts of emotions viji..i loved it...vikram was brilliant...👏
