@Bru: To be honest, I would prefer no fresh start at all and just a fresh story for our current Maaneet. There is tons of stuff left to explore and a fresh start still feels too desperate for the situation. I think the ML is a perfect example of how they bungled the whole idea of a fresh start and at least in that case Maan can get his memory back. If they kill them off, and their new avatars don't pan out, there is no going back and I don't trust them to make it work.

@Priya: You say the only difference between RC and season 2 is that in one Maaneet will die and in one they won't. To me this is a huge difference and it would really affect the way I see the show and the characters. To be honest, purely on a non-logical, emotional level, I don't think I could recover from the tragedy and the sheer absurdity of them dying just to be reborn.

@Jyoti: My head totally understands your logic but dil hain ki manta nahin! And even if it does move onto a new channel and gets a different writer I don't see any guarantee that the writer would be better than MP, or contrarily what the new channel would expect that person to write. I just can't see it working and I can't see myself being able to stomach their death.

My ideal choice would be if they made a logical and fresh start with the current storyline, like Geet getting into college in another city, like Mumbai or Bangalore (the south is so unexposed on Hindi Television) or Surat, Ahmedabad, Baroda (If they want the Gujrati touch with Gujju supporting characters), and Maan moving there to handle KC there. Since the present KM is so cheap-looking much like all its inhabitants, they could just leave it and have a fresh start with only a metaphorical rebirth. 😆

@Samana:The only assumption I m making is at least the script will b better than the current scenario ...at least the reincarnated Maaneet will b in a better condition than the current scenario where they r reduced to side kicks 😆😆...of course these r assumptions only but then currently we dont even hv a story ...at least RC itself is kind of a ongoing story where the central focus will b at least Maan-Geet and not any other random characters ...see that way even a season 2 does not guarantee a good story or good writers ...so the risk is there both ways ..whether we take RC or a season 2 ...its just that I m thinking of the closest available option on board at present 🤔

@Jyoti: Don't get me wrong, I do understand your logic and I am not for Season 2 as opposed to RC. In fact I am not for either. My personal wish is for this story to continue with focus on Maaneet. But if a fresh start was inevitable and someone was pointing a gun at my head, I would choose season 2 just for my own personal reasons of not being able to stomach the idea of this Maaneet dying absurdly.

I love your optimism but the very assumptions you are making about RC are the same things we thought about Amritsar and ML. It will be focused on Maaneet, it will have some drama automatically etc. And while that did happen for some time, it quickly petered out both times. I am suspicious the same thing will happen with RC. Twice bitten, FOUR times shy! 😆

My sincere wish is for Barry to take over the writing at least for the next two months. I LOVED his BR track and even ML was better when he was writing it. At least Geet was in the office, they had a classy client, Mr. Tandon who was linked to Dadi's past. If you notice MP brushed the client under the carpet as soon as he came back and Mr. Tandon is now a dentist advertising Colgate. 😆

Anyway, I guess there is not much we can do but see if they can even get the TRPs up a little, or if they even want to, because 0.2 is not very tempting for SD in the first place.

I am excited to see the precap scene. The union leader looks like my mental picture of Mahesh Pandey. 😆 And Geet looked really horrified at Nano's impulsive bout of violence. 😲

@Samana:I understand Maaneet death is painful and it just kills all the Maaneet memories too ..but at present also the same is happening na 😭..with MSK's ML ,those memories r already killed and now with Maaneet reduced to side kicks ,even the characters r getting murdered on a daily basis ...so its better to murder them fully and give them a fresh look 😳...at least Geet and MSK will get new clothes in RC version 😆 and hopefully comedy circus wont take rebirth with them 😆😆...
