WHAT exactly are YOU SAVING? Please elaborate! As I think you yourself don't know what you are SAVING if PH and CHANNEL's VISION of what accounts and amounts to GHSP and what YOU SAVIORS have in your mind are 2 distinct and different things. It's hard to LET GO, but one has to understand that it is NOT YOU WHO IS IMPORTANT but the ONE that HAS YOUR LOVE.

If you really loved GHSP, GEET, any of the CAST AND CREW - YOU WOULD RATHER THEY END ON A HIGH rather than GO DOWN THE DRAIN and SINK in IGNORAMUS IGNOMINY.

DON'T HOLD THE CHANNEL, PH, GHSP, CAST n CREW to RANSOM OVER YOUR DESIRES, WHIMS and FANCIES. BE THANKFUL for ENTERTAINING YOU FOR the PAST 400 EPISODES, and BE HAPPY WITH WHAT YOU HAVE rather than MAKE YOUR WISHES INTO MOUNTAINS and EXPECT THEM to CLIMB those mountains or be ruled by your DESIRES, WHIMS and FANCIES.

I guess I am getting up on the platform with you, waiting for all the jhootis and tomatoes to start flying, but I completely agree.

They are trying to turn Geet, a profoundly beautiful, romantic tale about two souls, connected by something bigger than themselves, overcoming all odds to find love, happiness and the triumph of right over wrong into a Geet, a comedic farce of a show about a huge, "quirky" Punjabi ("Desh-y") family.

They are trying to take a story that held the ideals of love and human relationships high above any concept of religion, and force it into the mould of a Hindu joint-family with a pooja every other day. Geet was Sikh, Maan an atheist, they had one of their most significant moments in a dargah. They didn't skirt the issue of religion but made it a part of the story in a beautiful fluid way showing that there are things that are more important. That is no more the case. Now the plots constantly revolve around poojas and family functions, rather than office work and events. It is truly sad to see them sacrifice these subtleties, which earlier made the story and characters so relatable to the modern viewer.

They are trying to make us accept the erstwhile antagonist of the story as, not just a forgiven, but an accepted and beloved part of the protagonists' family and giving him a context-less, substance-less romantic track.

They are trying to make two of the best leads in Television history, who have given us such a beautiful romance, part of a mediocre ensemble cast. It is a disgrace to their immense talent.

I don't know if the Maaneet chemistry can ever be recreated if GC and DD work with other actors, but maybe we can get a different chemistry. They are never going to get the recognition they deserve on StarOne/Desh. I am sure this was a beautiful experience for them as much as us, but like you said, all things must come to an end and I would rather see that end be beautiful and fulfilling, rather than half-hearted and unfaithful to what the show has meant to us.

I really respect your sentiments and hope that Geet continues only if there is a chance of retaining anything the show initially stood for.

I will, of course be left feeling a sense of emptiness when it does end but I am beginning to wonder if that temporary sense of emptiness, with the knowledge that Maan and Geet lived happily ever after is better than the daily trial of watching two immensely talented actors, wasted on 5 minutes of inadequate screen time and a forced, contrived script.

It hasn't even ended, and we are not sure if it will, but I already miss Geet! 😭

Everything has a beginning, middle and an end...I think we are somewhere between the last two bits.

This show means a lot to me and was an anchor when things went haywire in my life.

But, I've begun to realise, the longer i use this as my anchor, the more difficult it will be for me to face the vagaries of life.

More than the show itself, the two main characters are the factor that makes it difficult to let go...but let go we must...like you rightly said, it's better to see it off with all it beauty still intact than to be happy to see it go because, it's no longer what we want.

When the time comes, and it must, I'll definitely have tears in my eyes, an ache in my heart, for it is always difficult to let go what we love, but I'll have a smile on my face for the beautiful memories it will leave behind...memories that I'll always go back to, and remember those halcyon days that gave us so much joy .

God! I sound like a drama queen..but, yea, that's pretty much how I feel.

Having said that, let's see what the channel has in store for us..till then, no news could be good news!

Maaneet still have a hugh scope as a couple….In the ML track itself the CV's can show so much in Maaneets relationship….

AS I said Being a neutral fan of Maaneet …the more they give me the happier I'll be

I have a feeling that GurTi as a Jodie will not have any problem to continue as Maaneet for a longer time……this is my feeling…I do not know Behind the scene matter her…………….

Same is happening with Geet….Geet has hugh NEUTRAL MAANEET fan base…who what the show to run for Maaneet….they are not demanding logic or in-depth story here…all we neutral fans want is to see Maaneet for a longer time…..to see how they further lead their love come marriage life of Maaneet……

Even individually GC and DD are gaining hugh respect, Love, fans and also earning well with Geet……than I do not see a point why Geet needs to be closed??...

Geet as a show still has many things to offer to us in form of Maaneet……
