I remember that scene and loved it! I guess I just didn't remember the dialogue.

Aw, and that to me was when Maan was ready to accept Geet "just the way she was", so to speak, and not enforce his ideas, or food, on her. And then when she offered him some, he took it, meaning he was ready to let her make him happy, perhaps not in the ideal way he had imagined someone making him happy, but in her own special desi-flavoured way!

How's that? Too much? 😆

Aww.. awesomely put👏 loved the analogy 😊 ... Too much?? are you kidding it is never too much when it concerns Maaneet/Gurti.. 😆

oh this was such a pleasure to read🤗...you took me back to each scene👏...and yes i too noticed the wy food and maaneet is a constant theme...food is a basic necessity...and as such it plays a pivotal role in maaneet's life with eachother...food nourishes and keeps them alive...loved the way you brought out the symbolism!

Yes I loved those scenes as well! It showed that they were slowly accepting each other despite the fact that they acted disgusted at each others' foods! 😆

Thanks, I am so glad you liked it!

I guess we take food for granted a little because it is such a necessity but I love the way the writers have used it to reflect the various phases and moments of their relationship!

Oh I just absolutely loved this Samana.. thankyou so much for making the post! I loved all the moments you've mentioned especially the dhaaba scene 😍 .. and I love the symbolisms attached to them .. really food has played a very very pivotal role in their relationship .. and in all stages of it too.
I remember one more which had a lot of underlying symbolism I believe .. when in Amritsar Maan asks Geet to make Lassi for him .. and this was Maan showing how much he has changed because of her .. the man who prides in drinking his freshly brewed black and bitter coffee .. (which Geet reminded him of in that scene) .. asked for freshly made sweet Lassi .. that entire scene was amazing .. and the looks they gave each other and the way he helped her .. ! If you find any further symbolism in this do share .. but I loved this scene as well :)

Thanks! Food is so important on so many levels! 😆

Oh you are right about the lassi moment! I think you pretty much covered all the symbolism there but if I were to add one thing, it would be that lassi vs coffee brings up the black and white contrast that has been seen between Maan and Geet. Maan has progressed at this point from bitter, dark coffee to sweet, white lassi. His life is filled with light and sweetness now that he is with Geet and his world revolves around her!
