Epilogue:
"Kyun jaan aaj aapko romance sooj rahi hai?" Maan teased as he felt his wife's hot breath as she crooned to kiss his neck.
"Haan, aaj aap zaroorat se zyaada, voh kya kehte hain, sexy lag rahe ho," she whispered stressing on the last word while adjusting his satin tie.
Maan and Geet, who had embarked on a new journey renewing their vows nine years ago, had been extremely successful. Although Maan had not been able to recount his past with Geet, he nevertheless didn't sacrifice his duty as a caring husband and a loving partner. In fact it could be said their love for each other had increased exponentially from previously what they had shared. He made sure he provided her with every little thing she imagined while she always saw to his needs. There were instances where Geet took the time to recount some of the incidents from Maan's erased past, but she preferred not to let them resurface for it made him feel guilty. The path they were threading couldn't get any sweeter for never for a moment Geet regretted the fact that Maan had forgotten their early days. He had always been for her as a good friend, a loving husband, caring father any child could ask for.
The couple was blessed with four beautiful children, Rishabh, Arun, Vishnu, and Maya. Rishabh was the oldest of all, aged seven years yet his maturity level was beyond description. He was very quiet and always kept to himself either in his library or in his study room. One look at him reminded Geet of her Maan. Although Rishabh was quiet, he was the little angry young man on reserve. Her oldest son never tolerated a slightest disrespect to the elders and always the other kids on their toes with his commanding presence. In spite of his hard exterior he was as soft as butter when it came to his family, especially his mother and his baby sister, Maya. He took extreme care to always help her around the house and take care of his siblings while she was exhausted from the office work. Geet always called him the savior of the house for when it came to any problem he was always there for her.
Next in line were the two three-year old "devils of the house" Arun and Vishnu. They were paternal twins two minutes apart of each other, making Arun the older of the two. They were complete opposite of their older brother Rishabh in both mischief and talking. Maan had always teased Geet for passing on her "talking genes" to the little twins yet he secretly loved that they behaved like his darling wife, whom he never got tired of hearing her talks. Geet thanked her Babaji for Rishabh everyday who kept her naughty little devils always on check and made sure they ate and slept on time. Maan hated the fact that all his boys were a big "chamchas" of their mom. Rishabh was a no brainer right hand of his mother, helping her in every way. Although the little twins used to keep his Geet always on toes, running behind them, were of course darlings of their Mamma. He constantly groaned when she gave them more than necessary attention when he got none. He constantly prayed for a little angel to give a run for his boys and he was indeed blessed with it.
The new addition to the lot was the little baby, Maya. She was just over a year and few months old and came as an absolute surprise for Maan and Geet when they first came to know about her arrival. It was a sweet surprise for them and their joy knew no bounds when they came to know it was a girl. Maan had always pined for a little Geet and his wish had come true with Maya. She looked absolutely stunning and beautiful like his wife and her dimpled smile was an exact zerox copy of Geet. The little one had already wrapped around her fingers with her cute antics and dazzling smile. She loved it when her dadda came back from work to her and spent a good amount of time playing and talking with her. It was her favorite pastime to pull her father's hair while he held her close to him.
Geet adored the fact that Maan had willingly taken care of each and every child of hers so that she never felt the burden of rearing four children. He supported her while she went back to college to complete her studies to qualify herself as a proper interior designer for Khurana Constructions. And even after their nine years of the renewed marriage and ten years of togetherness had never let them fall short of their love for each other. Maan loved how his wife managed to wrap around even the simplest sarees and yet make his heart skip several beats just at the mere sight of her. On the other hand, Geet's heart beat erotically even with a slight brush of his skin on hers. They never got tired of loving or teasing each other causing Daadima to wonder at their compatibility.
"Accha?" he chuckled as she nuzzled closer to his throat. Her lips burned the skin on his neck, he was about to give in when he remembered his little shaitans, who didn't think twice before rushing into their room, "No, no, no, no Geet, Arun ya Vishnu dekh lengein yaheen kaheen hongein," he said slightly moving out of her embrace.
"Waise yeh toh meri line honi chahiye thi, why are you completing my dialogues?" she whined at his reluctance.
Maan smiled at her. "Hmm… kya karoon tumhara pati jo hoon, I complete you in every way, haan Geet?" he cooed against her ears, his hot breath arousing her further. He ran his slender finger over her ear lobe making her close her eyes reveling in pleasure but soon he let it fall off her cheeks suddenly. Geet felt cold air touch her skin in the absence of his finger and became conscious and slightly annoyed.
"Chaddo ji!" she huffed moving away.
Maan caught her hand just in time before she escaped off his clutch, "Tussi naraaz ho?"
"Hm main naraaz hoon ya nahi, ki farak pehnda?"
"Padta hai, bolo na," he asked nuzzling in her hair and inhaling her fresh citrus scent.
"Haan, hoon toh?"
"Good, keep it that way until evening, I mean keep it until night," he smiled in between the kisses he placed near her ear.
"Kyun?" she asked curiously.
"I get to pacify you better in bed," he whispered huskily in her ear making her turn beet red.
"Chi," she hid in his embrace.
"Did you forget the result of hot and searing make up? Mujhe koi aitraaz nahi hai to have another cherub running around the house," he said placing wet kisses on her nape.
"Maan!" she screamed unable to take his sweet torture and his reminding of the reason of Maya's birth.
"Sach keh raha hoon jaan," he reminded of their usual make-ups in which he always managed to win her over
"Stop embarrassing me Maan," she complained cutely pouting at his constant teasing.
"You know I always love to do that," he said placing a peck on her forehead before heading out of the room, followed by Geet.
"Yeah, yeah, aaj raat dekh loongi what you love to do," she muttered under her breath.
"Kya, kya kaha?" he stopped surprised at her bold statement.
"Kuch nahi ab aap please chaliye I have to get your shaitans ready before I head to the office," she said pushing him.
Just as he was about to head out with his briefcase he heard her again, "Tussi jaa rahe ho?"
"Sexy?" he repeated her adjective, "come here," he gestured her to give her a kiss on her lips when a new voice screamed.
"Pappa!" Vishnu yelled startling Maan and Geet.
"Ugh kabhi kabhi lagta hai ki your boys are indeed real shaitans," Maan whined at the interruption. "Haan kya hai?" he asked Vishnu frustrated his little moment with his wife was spoilt.
"Pappa, Arun was saying," Vishnu started his tirade.
"Stop!" Maan warned before his little one started a verbose soliloquy about another of his adventures with his brother. "Turn around!" he ordered. "Har jagah kyun gusta hai? Remind me to take a few weeks vacation so that I can whisk you away to some place alone," he said pulling Geet closer and kissing her on her lip before continuing, "wait up for tonight baby!" She nodded shyly, her head bent low at his statement. "Aur Vishnu, I shall listen to your speech in the evening teekhai?" he said before heading out and waving back to them.
Geet sighed as Maan headed out to work. She had to join him soon but before that she had to make sure her little ones were taken care of. She turned to Vishnu, picked him up and gave a kiss on his cheeks, "Hum chalein?" she asked as they headed inside the house.

Geet was bathing Arun when she heard her cell phone buzz to life. "Ab yeh kaun hai?" she wondered. "I'll take it later," she said continuing to bathe him. It again rang to her annoyance, "Uff Babaji!" she exasperated. "Haan aa rahi hoon," she said wiping her wet hands before reaching for the phone. "Yes," she said only to drop the phone two minutes later, her face white, drained of blood. "Maan," she managed to whisper before a rush of tears flooded her eyes. "Daadima!" she ran through the corridors locating her next pillar of support, "Daadima, Maan, Maan ko," she blurted in the midst of her sobs.
"Kya hua bete? Aap itni ghabraayi kyun hain?" Daadima asked concerned at Geet's plight.
"Maan ko accident…"
"Kya? Kab? Kaise?" Daadima asked alarmed at the news.
"Gggadi chalaate samay."
"Aap turant jayiye, hum bacchon ko sambhal ke aayenge," Daadima assured to which Geet meekly nodded before rushing to the hospital.
Her heart had shattered into a million pieces when the hospital had called informing her of the accident. She didn't know if she was ever entitled to permanent happiness any time in her life. It was just a few years ago when Maan had been through an accident and it had taken all her faith in her Babaji and her love before she had gotten her Maan. And now before she could think of the life ahead, there was a speed breaker. She cried her way to the hospital fearing the worst as the driver steered in the streets of Delhi to reach the hospital.
As soon as she reached the hospital, she rushed out, flinging the door open and not caring about the heads that turned in her direction. "Maan, Maan Singh Khurana?" she said anxiously waiting for the reply from the receptionist.
"He is currently in the operation theater madam. It's on the third floor on the left," the receptionist said but Geet didn't wait for her attention and dashed towards the stairs to the third floor. She reached the area to find doctors and nurses hovering back and forth. She tried to gain their attention to ask them of Maan's condition but they seemed to be in a hurry. She finally managed to catch hold of a doctor, "Doctor Maan?" she asked uncertainly.
"We are trying our best," he replied before going into the room. Geet's sobs increased at the doctor's statement. She slapped her forehead in dejected and leaned on the wall and slipped down, crying her heart out.
She sat on the ground, her tears streaming steadily down her face when she felt someone rushing to her side. "Geet?" Dev called out. "Geet are you okay?" he asked sitting down in front of her.
"Dev, Dev Maan ko Maan," she spoke in syllables unable to voice her fear.
"Bro ko kuch nahi hoga Geet. Don't lose hope. He's a fighter Geet," Dev assured.
"Mujhe bahut darr lag raha hai Dev, please save my Maan," she sobbed holding his collar.
"Tum daro mat he will be fine soon Geet," he coaxed only to see her cry more. "Dekho agar tum rovogi toh kaise Geet. You need to stay brave." She calmed down a bit only to start crying again.
In the next few hours, Dev kept assuring her to stay calm and promised everything would be fine. Geet kept quiet for a while before crying out and the cycle of her bouts of her sobs were consistent. Her sobs died down to a whimper before it once again began into a full-fledged crying.
Finally the main doctor managed to come out and Dev rushed to his side to ask about Maan's condition. "You are lucky. We managed to stop the excessive bleeding in the head and the situation seems to be under control. The impact of the accident was pretty bad. Mr. Khurana shall be under observation for another forty-eight hours before we can really tell you if everything is okay. Abhi bhi condition is very delicate," the doctor announced to the relief of Geet and Dev.
"Can we see him now?" Dev asked reading Geet's mind.
"He is under sedatives. He should be able to regain his consciousness in half to one hour," the doctor said before heading to the other side.
"Thank you doctor," Dev beamed.
Geet rushed to the room to a sleeping Maan and smiled through her tears. Her Babaji had yet again come to the rescue. She sent a silent prayer to her Babaji while slowly walking towards the bed. She went and sat beside him and took his hand and kissed them reverentially, fearing he may disappear any time soon. She kept his hand under her chin and went to hold his cheek. "Maan aap mujhe humesha aise kyun darate ho?" she asked sniffing back tears.
Daadima and Dev walked from behind in a few hours to see Geet holding Maan's hand tightly and weeping silently. Daadima placed her hands comfortingly on Geet's shoulder making her look back at her. "Aapne dekha Daadima, one minute I leave his side, kya haal banake rakhe hain," Just then she felt a slight movement of his fingers as she saw Maan stir from his sleep. He slowly blinked back to consciousness and turned to see Geet holding his hand tightly and crying and complaining to Daadima. He looked at her blankly before looking at his Daadima. Everyone noticed he was awake and all their attention went towards them.
"Bro, how do you feel now?" Dev asked standing beside Daadima to which Maan simply nodded.
"Maan bete, aapne humara jaan nikaal di! Please don't scare us like this, samjhe aap?" Daadima added and ran her hand through his hair. "Aapko rest ki zaroorat hai," she said before gesturing Dev to come out to give some private moment between the husband and wife.
Geet smiled slightly through her tears and ran her hands lovingly over his forehead before getting up to place a slight peck where her hands were. "Don't you dare try this stunt again. Samjhe aap!" she scolded sternly. Maan simply started blankly at her as she went on ranting about her worst fears and what she went through when she heard the news. Seeing him not speak anything she looked at him puzzled, "Maan aap kuch bolenge nahi?"
"Tum, tum kaun ho?" he asked gruffly.
What? Did she hear that right? Millions of questions shot through her head. Could it be possible he again lost his memory. Were her Babaji playing tricks with her life again? "Main, main," she stumbled unable to meet him in the eye causing her to miss a glint of mischief in his eye. She abruptly got up wanting to hide herself away from the world. She put her hand on her mouth preventing herself from breaking down in front of him and turned around to dash away from the room when she heard him.
"Rukogi ki nahi Mishti?" he whispered softly making Geet stop dead in her tracks.
Had she heard him use Mishti or was her brain playing tricks on her. It was a nickname given to her before their marriage and after he lost his memory, Maan had never addressed her that way. It was always "jaan" or Geet but now she had use the term Mishti. Was it possible? her brain began only to be quickly suppressed by her thoughts.
"Kyun jaan darr gayi kya?" he mocked.
It was indeed her brain playing tricks on her; she put aside the thought and rushed to his side. "Maan!" she cried and ran into his embrace. "How could you Maan? How could you play such tricks on me!" she complained before hitting him slightly on his chest where the taveez lay.
"Ouch!" he winced.
"Oh sorry sorry!" Geet apologized, vigorously rubbing the area of hurt and trying to remove the taveez.
"Geet, rehne do usko kyunki main hi tumahari humsafar hoon. Aur tumhare paas iske alawa kuch aur bhi nahi hai dene ke liye," he said looking into her eye lovingly.
Geet's eyes shot up at his mention of the story of taveez. She had never got a chance to tell the story behind the taveez although she had intended to say it. And now when Maan mentioned the exact story she couldn't believe her ears. "Maan?" she hesitated.
"Kuch bolti kyun nahi Mishti?" he teased her silence.
"Sab kuch yaad aagaya aapko?" she asked disbelievingly.
"Kyun tumhe yakeen nahi hai, Balwant ko bulaoon? Voh tumhe zaroor yakeen dilayega," he continued to tease.
The fact of his returned memory was overwhelming. "Maan mujhe sach mein yakeen nahi ho raha hai, I, I am, I just have no words Maan! Thank you Babaji!" she said hugging him tightly as tears spilled on his blue hospital robe.
They stayed like that for quite sometime, absorbing each other's presence. Geet couldn't believe the sudden turn of events. The bitterness of the accident had been cleanly wiped away by his sweet news about his remembrance of the past events in their life. She was indeed indebted to her Babaji for instilling a miracle in her life. Although she had never regretted that Maan couldn't remember their past together it did create a small void but now it was no more. Her joy knew no bounds at his revelation.
"Geet," he said still in her embrace, "Thank you. If you wouldn't have stayed back in spite of all my insults and rudeness I wouldn't have got a chance to live this beautiful life with you. All these years I did feel guilty to have completely forgotten a big and important piece of my life. But today the void I felt in my heart has been completed and that couldn't have been possible without your constant support and faith in me and our love," he said coming out of her embrace and cupping her cheek. He reached low to kiss his wife's forehead as she simply smiled in revere.
"I never thought this day would come but I certainly don't regret it."
"Vaise Geet you know I imagined like in the movies that you would come running to me as soon as you knew I got my memory back and then kiss me all over my face, and then I wou—"
"Maan," she groaned.
"Jaan, if you insist to call my name again, I wouldn't think twice about the discomfort of this teeny hospital bed," he whispered bringing her closer to him.
A red hue crept into her cheeks at his mention of his arousal and she buried herself in his chest.
"Geet, I love you," he said breaking the silence. She looked up into his deep brown eyes that oozed deep love bringing her a sense of satisfaction and security. She reached towards his lips to seal his love with hers.
