So one possible excuse to justify Geet's action for obtaining NT's signature fraudulently or by misrepresentation is that she had to save the Khuranas from NT, who was using her status as Dev's wife to come back into the Khuranas' lives and into KM.
Well, let's ask ourselves a few questions:
- What did NT's status as Dev's wife entitle her to? A share in Khurana Constructions? No. A share in Khurana Mansion? No. All she was entitled to was maintenance from her husband and a right to reside in Khurana Mansion. Now, if NT had been tried for the crimes she committed against Geet formerly and now against the Khuranas, she ideally would have been convicted and would have been in prison. Medha, they will not even think of convicting her for the problems faced by Geet because the moment Geet remembers Naintara's fraud and the problems she created and wants to send her to jail for that, Dev will have to accompany her. I don't think the court of law is going to distinguish between Dev and Naintara as typical blood relatives do. And hence the Nano kidnapping so that NT is put in jail for that rather than previously committed crimes.😆
- While she was being tried, given the previous attempts to kill Geet, she certainly would have been denied bail. So, we would have had NT in prison. Now, NT certainly does not possess the ability to bilocate and could not have been in prison and in KM at the same time. So, how would an incarcerated NT pose a continuing threat to the bedroom arrangements in Khurana Mansion? There is somebody in the world or atleast PH who is in love with Dev. Where is Arjun when his sis needs him. They are always roaming with mobiles but never ever call a relative when in trouble. The last time also he arrived only after she had contacted the lawyer and made all the arrangements and got herself out of jail.
- So finally what does it say independent women who can manage things themselves are BAD and women who cannot manage things by themself and always need Dev's advice for every step they take are GOOD.
- i have a doubt. Yesterday if Geet had got the paper fraudulently signed by Maan by herself, would it not have been enough. Would Maan have accused her of being selfish and doing the wrong thing. Did Maan need Dev's certification and endorsement for Geet that he only told her to do it and it was not wrong etc.
- How does the *divorce* change the status quo? Now that NT is divorced (as per GHSP marriage law which recognises signatures on a document obtained by fraud or misrepresentation as a valid divorce), would she also give up her vendetta against the Khuranas? When she *signed* on those papers, did she also sign away her memory leaving behind no traces of memory of her vendetta against the Khuranas? Will she no longer covet a share in the property now that she is supposedly no longer Dev's wife? Will she no longer engage in machinations to usurp the Khuranas' property? So, how does securing Dev's divorce from NT by fraud or misrepresentation change the status quo for the Khuranas as a family? How does the divorce provide a safeguard for the family? To me, it appears that the *divorce* only changes the status quo of Dev's marital status. Because they are ready with the song for Dev - Dulhe ka sehra suhana lagta hai...😆
So, after having been duped into a *divorce*, is NT going to be gracious in defeat and say, "Well, the better fraudsters won." and retire?

To all those celebrating Eid today, wish you a very happy Eid.

Apparently in GHSP land, such admissions of obtaining signatures by fraud or misrepresentation don't affect the validity of the document. In fact, the greater the fraud or misrepresentation, the greater is the sanctity of the document. 😃
I don't know why but from evening yesterday the electricity would come for ten minutes and then go off for half an hour. It is still the case. I managed to catch all the repeats in such a haphazard fashion that i don't know what comes after what. It is like they give you lines of a story in jumbled up form and tell you tell the sequence. Not that it made a difference. Each segment seemed like individual segments to me. 😆 and every time the electricity wen, had to rush to put off the tv, otherwise it would have drained off the inverter and i don't think my family would have been amused to stay without even a fan running in this weather just for Maaneet. 😆----
@ Preeti: Yes, MSK too condoning such behaviour was a bit too much to stomach. That's probably why he didn't even have a morsel of his birthday cake.
