Love the mathematical equation.👏

Perhaps, we should come up with a chemical equation too.

Villains + fraud --> Evil (where animosity towards the leads is a catalyst)
Leads + fraud ---> Good (where animosity towards the villains is a catalyst)

That cake was too flowery for a guy like Maan, i thought. I kept thinking with which guy in my family i could order such a flowery cake and get away with it. 😛

A birthday cake with just MAAN written on it 😃

Well, God forbid, but you could order it for someone in your family who lost his memory for the past year (a purely hypothetical situation), provided you could convince him that his preferences had changed in the past one year. 😛😆

@Medha...Very well written👏...it doesn't make any difference to NT status...whatever she was doing before and whatever she plans to do in the future if ever they plan to bring her back can be done without the Dev's wife or Khurana bahu tag...

The sole purpose was to get Dev divorced from NT so they can show Devini...

in which angle did the party looked like a b'day party...None of the family members wished the b'day guy...not even the so-in-love wife who was busy getting divorce papers ready for her much-in-love BIL...

Ok...
Most of them have have already said what was in my little brain ... so nothing much left to say...but still i would like to share a few points of mine...
1. Geet too NT's signature on Divorce papers by FRAUD method...this made me think wether this story is of Mr. Dev and his different love interests in life..than we better rename the show " DEV KI PERM KAHANIYAN" why Geet??? or why even declare that Maaneet are the leads??? when they are not treated like one...is it not Dev's problem ...why are Dev and Geet solving eachothes problems??? should we rename this show as " DEVAR BHABI"
2. I along with many here compare Geet to TOP NOTCH BORRING shows of SP, Zee TV and COLORS...we say in the shows that air on these channels the leads are hardly getting time and the leads are always involved in solving FAMILLY MATTERS more their own...After reading yesterday updat i felt How is our GHSP different... Geet has easily forgiven Dev and has now become his so called ADORABLE BHABI which blows of my patients...
3. When they said MSK's b'day i was hoping that they will utilize this to bring us more Maaneet...I guess ME every one was happy with Maaneet...but yesterday???? Insted of seeing DevIni or DevEet CRAP i would have preferred seeing Maaneet talk a little after the cake cutting thing...MSK trying to feed Geet...or Geet getting cake to feed MSK...or Geet coming to talk to MSK in private...there was nothing...that CRAP DEVINI and DEVEET took the limelight...and the PH and Channel hopes to get TRPS...what a joke
4. SInce Maaneet's marriage we have been saying that they are not using GurTi / Maaneet chemistry to its potential...now i dont know who is the cluprit here but PH channel have failed to use Maaneet chemistry to the fullest most of the time during Imp highpoints
I restricted myself so much from coming to IF and Den for few days...but I really could not control myself...but yes this will be my first and last post for today
Note: I have yet not watched the epi😆

Well, let's ask ourselves a few questions:

  • What did NT's status as Dev's wife entitle her to? A share in Khurana Constructions? No. A share in Khurana Mansion? No. All she was entitled to was maintenance from her husband and a right to reside in Khurana Mansion. Now, if NT had been tried for the crimes she committed against Geet formerly and now against the Khuranas, she ideally would have been convicted and would have been in prison. Medha, they will not even think of convicting her for the problems faced by Geet because the moment Geet remembers Naintara's fraud and the problems she created and wants to send her to jail for that, Dev will have to accompany her. I don't think the court of law is going to distinguish between Dev and Naintara as typical blood relatives do. And hence the Nano kidnapping so that NT is put in jail for that rather than previously committed crimes.😆
  • While she was being tried, given the previous attempts to kill Geet, she certainly would have been denied bail. So, we would have had NT in prison. Now, NT certainly does not possess the ability to bilocate and could not have been in prison and in KM at the same time. So, how would an incarcerated NT pose a continuing threat to the bedroom arrangements in Khurana Mansion? There is somebody in the world or atleast PH who is in love with Dev. Where is Arjun when his sis needs him. They are always roaming with mobiles but never ever call a relative when in trouble. The last time also he arrived only after she had contacted the lawyer and made all the arrangements and got herself out of jail.
  • So finally what does it say independent women who can manage things themselves are BAD and women who cannot manage things by themself and always need Dev's advice for every step they take are GOOD.
  • i have a doubt. Yesterday if Geet had got the paper fraudulently signed by Maan by herself, would it not have been enough. Would Maan have accused her of being selfish and doing the wrong thing. Did Maan need Dev's certification and endorsement for Geet that he only told her to do it and it was not wrong etc.
  • How does the *divorce* change the status quo? Now that NT is divorced (as per GHSP marriage law which recognises signatures on a document obtained by fraud or misrepresentation as a valid divorce), would she also give up her vendetta against the Khuranas? When she *signed* on those papers, did she also sign away her memory leaving behind no traces of memory of her vendetta against the Khuranas? Will she no longer covet a share in the property now that she is supposedly no longer Dev's wife? Will she no longer engage in machinations to usurp the Khuranas' property? So, how does securing Dev's divorce from NT by fraud or misrepresentation change the status quo for the Khuranas as a family? How does the divorce provide a safeguard for the family? To me, it appears that the *divorce* only changes the status quo of Dev's marital status. Because they are ready with the song for Dev - Dulhe ka sehra suhana lagta hai...😆

So, after having been duped into a *divorce*, is NT going to be gracious in defeat and say, "Well, the better fraudsters won." and retire?

@ Amerra, Anshu, Fatima, Nirvy, Preeti (if you are around), Yogita: 🤗

To all those celebrating Eid today, wish you a very happy Eid.

----

@ Usha: 🤗 Has power been restored back completely?

Apparently in GHSP land, such admissions of obtaining signatures by fraud or misrepresentation don't affect the validity of the document. In fact, the greater the fraud or misrepresentation, the greater is the sanctity of the document. 😃 I don't know why but from evening yesterday the electricity would come for ten minutes and then go off for half an hour. It is still the case. I managed to catch all the repeats in such a haphazard fashion that i don't know what comes after what. It is like they give you lines of a story in jumbled up form and tell you tell the sequence. Not that it made a difference. Each segment seemed like individual segments to me. 😆 and every time the electricity wen, had to rush to put off the tv, otherwise it would have drained off the inverter and i don't think my family would have been amused to stay without even a fan running in this weather just for Maaneet. 😆

----

@ Preeti: Yes, MSK too condoning such behaviour was a bit too much to stomach. That's probably why he didn't even have a morsel of his birthday cake.

-----

Edit

PS: Will be in stealth mode for most of the day. Me too 😊

Excellent arguments Medha. To be frank the show is leaving me more and more cold by the day. They are continuing to butcher the characters of Geet and Maan, all in the name of furthering their convoluted story. In fact, it is so untypical of Maan to take up NT's cause and bring her in to the house when he himself was against her right from the beginning, even before he met and fell in love with Geet. His argument that she should be given a second chance and that after all she was Dev's wife fall flat in the face of the treatment he meated out to Geet even after he knew she was his wife, only because he does not recollect ever loving her. Could Dev not use the same argument saying that he no longer loved NT and therefore cannot accept her as his wife? To me, it clearly spelt hypocricy on the part of Maan in big capital letters, an attribute one cant accuse the old Maan of ever possessing.
Another point where I saw a glaring discrepancy in character was in the disorganised manner in which Maan worked. If I remember right the old Maan was super efficient, self sufficient and tidy. In fact Geet wondered in the outhouse how a man can be so efficient in everything including what is traditionally considered the forte of women. But this Maan leaves things around and is quite messy.
Coming to Geet, Mahesh Pandey has successfully butchered a beautiful character, thanks to his inept and regressive writing. Ever since he has come on the scene, Geet's character is continuously taking a beating. Yesterday was no different. As you rightly pointed out her plan to trap NT to signing the divorce papers did not prove her loyalty as Khurana bahu but only showed that she was a bad sister who would wish someone like Dev on Nandini when the latter still is in the dark regarding Dev's past. Instead of asking Dev to confess his love she should have asked him to confess his crimes, his subsequent transformation and then broach the subject of love. But sadly she continues to play cupid to a mismatched pair. I also did not like the fact that it was under Dev's guidance that Geet got Maan to sign the papers and she did not use her own brains in this regard. I was half expecting her to gift the property back to Maan as a birthday gift. After all he had gifted it to her when he still had his memory intact. Considering he has now lost it and is still having problems sharing a room with her, should she keep his property? There is a moral issue here. The old Geet who was self respecting would have returned the property back.
I hate it that they have reduced Geet to waiting on Maan hand and foot, cleaning up, cooking and literally tailing him wherever he goes. I miss my intelligent Geet who was an equal partner to Maan in more ways than one.

@Opti:
Excellent writing and good vent of all our anger and distaste through words...

But what if this is what the Team GHSP is looking forward to. They atleast as per my thoughts have made up their minds to wind up shops and if anything is making them have a second thought then it is the huge and loyal following that the show has. By forcing Devini upon fans and by butchering the characters of Maan and Geet, they can very easily dust off quite a few fans without much effort. So I think it is better not have much hope from the show as we might be in for more disappointment and rage in the coming days.

How much I wish Geet too had amnesia, in that case atleast I would forgive her thinking ...poor thing doesnot remember her past and hence is recommending Dev to Nandini... Kash aisa hota...

Opti, I completely agree with everything you have said.

Your post brings out the inconsistencies in MSK's characterisation, post his memory loss, really well.

About Geet, I too had wished that she had, in fact, obtained MSK's signature on a gift deed transferring the property back to him. His signature accepting the gift would have been a legal requirement. Geet was not aware of the transfer of the property effected by MSK to her, until Pammi told her about it and used it as a ransom demand for MSK's release. But, given the circumstances, it is but right for her to return the properties to him.

And, finally, as you rightly said, these are not the same Maan and Geet.

The mere visage of an angry man doth not Maan make.
The mere visage of a bubbly woman doth not Geet make.

And, yesterday only took Maan and Geet further away from their original characterisation.
