Aloha Devils 😊
This marks my official entry into the Den, after months of stalking 😉.
I wanted to share my journey into Geet (maneet land) with the devils, hope I don't bore you to death 😕.
Here it goes …
Preface
Once upon a time(until feb 21st 2011) there was this simple girl from India came to US for further studies, fell in love, got married and lived(living) happily ever after😃 ………
Little did she know that there is another world (TV soap world) out there? Unlike a lot of devils here, she was a virgin when it comes to soaps 😉. The only serials she vaguely remembers watching a few episodes of (when she was a small kid) were Mahabharat(Can't recollect a single scene except the title track) and Chandrakantha(Just remember kroor singh).
Coming to the Story…
In the month of Feb 2011 it so happened that, she had to work from home for a week and her hubby was going to be out of town on business that week. Perfect recipe for a poison to kill you with boredom isn't it. She was pondering on options as to what to watch, as she watched all Sharukh movies 100 times each and all the new movies as they release. So she asked her best friend (I love her even more now) for some suggestions, and she suggested watching Geet.
And then there was a flash back that took her back to Aug 2010 when the same friend was visiting. The fd was watching Geet and she made fun of her fd for watching a serial as she didn't have anything better to do (Don't want to hurt anyone's feelings here…). So the fd made her watch an episode and it was the Humtum sequence episode where they sleep on the couch with Geet's head on Maan's shoulder. The girl did like that episode, though she didn't admit it to her fd then, it changed her perception towards soaps.
So when her fd suggested to watch it, she took her advice and started watching it on Monday morning as soon as the hubby left. It started out a little slow, so she skipped most of the parts and was planning to quit watching it until Maan's entry. That entry was something else and made her stick to the laptop to watch the rest of the episodes. She was in euphoria and finished watching all the episodes aired until then by Friday evening, with hardly 3-4 hrs of sleep and living on frozen food. She became a zombie by the time her hubby reached home. Oh my god, Maan got her hooked initially, especially his eyes😳😳(what you guys refer to as Bedroom eyes) never seen such intense and expressive eyes.
The next Monday, since she couldn't watch Geet at the time it aired, she frantically searched online to find something and came across the forum (all this is on phone as I can't use my work computer, u can understand my desperation😕). And she being forums illiterate took few days to find her way through and came across Devils Den a lot as it always used to be in the first page. Initially she just read the analysis of the episodes in the first 2 pages, (I am a big virtual fan of Jyo now.. ) but slowly I got pulled deep into the Den and their fun discussions. Now I stalk through all the pages of the den day and night, and thought finally. I can't watch the episode and participate in all the discussions; I will try to drop in a comment or too from now on.
All the very active devils, though I can't mention all the names here you Rock!⭐️⭐️⭐️👏👏👏
