Once there was a girl that fell in love with a prince.
He smiled to her and ever since,
She wanted to show him all her love,
And she smiled back at him but that wasn't enough.
She stared at the window and got in to bed
En with tears in her eyes, the sweet girl said:
"Who am I fooling, this is not mend to be,
The prince will never fall in love with a girl like me!"
But she dreamed of the prince every single night,
And deep in her heart burned a little light.
A flame of love, of hope, of fear,
She just wanted the prince to be near.
And one day at the river she looked to the ground
And she listened to a curious sound.
She turned around and looked everywhere,
But she fell on her knees, because nothing was there.
She didn't knew what she was hoping for,
Probably the prince but she was hoping no more.
And finally when the last tear was cried,
He suddenly appeared right by her side.
He looked at her with nothing but love,
And she stared in his eyes that were right above.
He knelt to the ground to get the girl up
And as he took her hand, she felt her breath stop
The prince said he was too scared to come,
And the girl got to hear what was going on.
The prince had his doubts, and thoughts deep within,
Were telling him she was way too beautiful for him.
He thought that he wasn't good enough for her,
And from that moment those two were,
The loveliest couple you have ever seen.
Without any fears or doubts coming between.
And so their hearts now are one,
Because of one pure smile,
And that's how it all begun.
