...
oh oh and the song for "bumping" - i love your choice... that is a lovely song... here's mine
khaayee hain re hum ne kasam sang rahane kee
aayegaa re udake meraa hans paradesee
(it's from the film Talash (1969) - sung by Lata Mangeshkar)
Thats a lovely song, i love it. During old Music Casettes days, i used to get all my favorite songs recorded on casettes. So i used to have quite a beautiful collection of all my favorite songs. This song was also part of my this vast collection. Seems like you also love old songs too.
Mind?... oh, no... that's an honor. This was and is really incredible focus, efforts, strategy and planning on yours, Maneetfanatic & Co's part. Wish it really bears fruits of all this labor.
In case, the DVD comes out, hope they include all the promos, DD and GC's all SBB, SBS and U Me Aur TV's segments etc. This will be cherry on the cake 😊.
'Bumpy' song :
Betaab Dil ki tamanna yahi hai
Tumhe chahenge, tumhe poojenge, tumhe apna khuda banaynge hum
(Sung by Lata Mangeshkar. Old film 'Hanste Jakhm')
ai hai ghsp_1... that is a lovely lovely song! must say you have a wonderful taste. i love old songs. i like the antique-ness (if there is such word) and the originality the songs used to have. nowadays its all computerised, mechanical... takes that taste out of the music. but there are some great voices nowadays, and that sort of makes up for it i guess...
i used to have a bunch of mixed cassettes, all old songs of course, which i have now shifted on CD. my mother says i was born in the wrong decade, since most of my favourite stuffs are from the olden days!
thank you again.. for the words of encouragement. i honestly could not have done this by myself, without the help of my fellow admins, who have now turned into my sisters 😃
especially Maneetfanatic... 🤗
we hope so too that all this has a happy ending written for all of us. we have worked hard... not just us admins, but all the supporters who actually believes this is possible.
i know hun... to have those fantastic interviews would be so cool... and the promos.. some of the promos were beautifully shot... even better than some episodes... would love to have a collection of those too... but let us see what happens 😊
bumpy song time:-
Yeh dil deewana hai, dil to deewana hai
Deewana dil hai yeh dil deewana
(Sung by Lata Mangeshkar and Mohammed Rafi, from the film Ishq Par Zor Nahi -
one of my absolute favourite films - infact if there was ever a remake, i could TOTALLY
see GC and DD playing the parts of Dharmendra and Sadhna)
---------------------------------------------------------
Thanks to Maneetfanatic to come up with this song idea. Its so nice. Thanks! Maneetfanatic.
Thanks for reminding me this beautiful song (Was part of my old collection too). Surprisingly, though its such a beautiful song but what i had found was that not many people had heard it when they used to listen it in my cassette.
I could not convert my Casettes collection into CD or DVDs. Just a few days back i thought to get all my song collection now again, collect it in digital form on my PC either thru CDs or downloading from web. So slowly planning to start that though i know it will take tremendous efforts. Today i added your bumpy song too in my list of songs i plan to slowly download in my digital playlist.
Yeah, GC DD seem to have made some songs lovable for me though originally i had not liked those songs e.g. 'Pee Loon' song. I had never liked it. But now whenever i hear it i love it as it reminds me of GC DD picturisation on it.
Today, i don't think 'bumps' will be really effective 😉 as the forum is quite heavily active with what this track going on.
Anyways, the bumpy song :
Lag ja gale ki phir yeh haseen raat ho na ho
shaayad phir iss janam mein mulaqaat ho na ho
Its again sung by Lata Mangeshkar for 'Woh Kaun thi'
