We need to say that if you want us to remain, give us what we want. We do not want to see Maaneet die and come back in order to win over the evil. We want to see them triumph against the evil in this birth itself. Come up with another story for Maaneet/Gurti if you want to make it mainstream but dont kill them inorder to resurrect them. If you think that the new viewers will not relate to the existing story since they have not been watching it so far, why not give them a one week of summary of what has happened so far? Take Maaneet to a small town if you want to. Maybe even HP and restart the story from there. Use your imagination but dont opt the easy but crappy way out.

I agree with u Opti, but I am sure that both the channel and PH r thinking of their own business more than anything and they think that such crap track can save the show, bakwaas, they have to look at the record of the serials or films who took this, total flops...

Opti..

Now-a-days, I'm smelling a lot of fish and rats!😆

Something very strange is going on in that Star One office, I'm sure.

RC as a concept is so dated belonging to the Madhumati and Karz era...today, I guess it needs a Shah Ruk Khan to carry it off with elan but that too could have been a fluke!

And, I'm sure, the channel is not unaware of the fact. Even with the revamp, whatever that means, Star One isn't likely to lose its niche audience practically overnight! Those watching the vampire story are likely to stick on...though how that serial fits into the post revamp era without any changes in storyline remains a mystery!!

This same audience, mostly young people, are expected to take an old chestnut like RC on the chin? Of course, there are many who'll take any track as long as Gurti is there, but what about Maaneet, who made us fall in love with the show in the first place?

RC as a concept has not had a good track record in serials...there are enough examples floating around to prove it and it has been more or less established that it's another name for a writer's block

The fish/rat I'm smelling tells me that there's some plotting going on behind the scenes where no one really cares about the fate of our show, except ourselves. This RC plan, which is still up in the air, could be a synonym for the end as well.

Agree with you Pippa. If they go ahead with the RC track, I'm sure they will expect the viewers to reward them with trps for keeping their favourite jodi at any cost and if they dont get the necessary numbers because the new audience do not get attached to the story and the old one finds it crappy, they may still have the option to shut shop. This time they will put the blame squarely on the viewers saying they did not give them the necessary trps. Now why should the channel or the PH be graced with good trps if they do not want to do their homework and come up with interesting tracks? Gurti alone cannot carry the show if they do not have a strong script to back it up and if the RC track is still not decided two weeks before its expected launch, we can expect a good new story line by September? And that too from the makers who could not even capitalise on the existing loop holes of Maan's mysterious past in terms of his family and his love life.

Why do I have feeling the article is true but was posted to get fans' reaction, so since most ppl against the track, so 4Lions got the feedback to prove channel being them right, etc...
I have feeling that both the channel and PH r standing against eachother iseliye they released such article to get feedback to go ahead with on continue or ending the show...
As far I understood some of the creatives r saying no and some saying yes, while PH saying no and channel saying yes as far for the track...
So it means two grps against eachother, the article was released to get support for any of the grps to go ahead with the decision...
People react infear of losing Maaneet, they r so much attached to the characters u know...
People have to be smart, 4Lions, denied that track, but did it say now about what else? No, it means they might be thinking of ending the show maybe, while the channel want to continue with it...
Aakhir it's business show!!!!!!...

you stole words out of my mouth...u know i ws discussing exactly the same thing with my sis last night...who also happens to be GHSP fan...

the news about show going off air was leaked in media a lot earlier...by PH may be so as to get the fan reactions to prove the value of there show to channel ...since then we have been flooding the SO office with phone and all...so now channel must be realizing that they have unexpectedly huge audience... and let me tell u low TRPs are just due to the limited reach of the channel...GHSP ko agar SP pe air karoge to dhamakedar TRPs will be there...

so nw its the channel wants to retain the audience by introducing a new story but with reincarnation track so that we all continue to watch..hence its the channel who has thrown this news of death and reincarnation ...its will help the new face of the channel to get established...but then its a huge risk from PH point of view...Nissar has seen what has happened to MJHT and DMG when story is rotated in such upside down ways...so they must not be willing to opt for that...and must be demanding for a happy ending and a fresh new show n story...HOPEFULLY WITH GURTI AS LEADS AND MAANEET AS CHARACHTERS😊😊

I agree completely with you that its showbiz...they play with our minds and fan psychology...but if what I hv said is true...in a way its a victory of all us fans who have forced PH and / or channel to continue with show...so KUDOS to Geetians👏👏👏

Let them decide hw to go about it...I m happy sensing that Gurti / Maaneet will continue to entertain me😃
😃

@SnehalS: Very well said, when it comes to channel and PH, business is mainly on their agenda...
