Geet stars support noble cause |
The cast of Geet-Hui Sab Se Parayi on STAR One have taken up the initiative of lending their support to a good cause. The team is promoting a Mumbai based organization named Animals Matter To Me (AMTM). |
The organization encourages people to adopt stray animals that need a home. Geet aka Drashti Dhami says, "It was my friend Anju Mahendroo, who plays Dadi in the show, who informed us about this organization. Then, we decided to promote it. I wouldn't mind adopting a dog myself, but the problem is that there is no one to look after it in my case, but those who can do so should go ahead." Dadi aka Anju Mahendroo reveals, "I am a huge animal lover, and have seven cats and six dogs at home. All of them are stray animals, but are sterilized and healthy. They have become just like family now. Animals Matter To Me looks after sick and abandoned cats and dogs, and encourages people to adopt them. I got my co-actors to talk about the cause because it will help people to become aware of the organization and, hopefully, more people will come forward and adopt these animals." Nandini aka Melanie Pais adds, "Supporting AMTM is such a sweet and nice thing to do. I just love dogs, and believe that they are truly man's best friends. Anjuji has a lot of pets at home, and even feeds many stray dogs on her way to the sets, which is nice of her. I would love to adopt a dog, but my mom says that I should learn to take care of myself first, before I can look after a dog. I have fishes at home, which are maintenance-free, so mom is okay with them. I would love to adopt a dog when I buy my own house." The cast of Geet-Hui Sab Se Parayi have set a good example by lending their support to this cause. We hope many fans are encouraged to adopt stray animals. Watch Geet-Hui Sabse Parayi every Monday to Friday at 9.30 PM, only on STAR One. |
