I say we should bash DD as well..,.since she also said that she is bored of doing the mahi scenes! What is sauce for the goose should also be sauce for the gander as well (should be the other way round here)! Why do we have different standards for both?

Yikes Kunataanya , Arnt you getting a little too defensive ? Where did I imply that actors are slaves of their fans ? I started my post with ' as long as it's not an offensive question ' . Clearly , you missed out that point . All I said was they can choose to either be politically correct in order to please their fans and keep them happy or deal with the consequences if not ! I only stated that this is how this profession works . If you think that's too harsh , I cannot help it.

@temerocks - i believe an actors job is to act... period... everything else is secondary... there are plenty of actors around the world who are good at their jobs but really bad at handling media and fans... but they still do their jobs well... and they are successful at it too... SRK is a star... his title as a superstar expects him to have that kind of personal relationship with his fans as well as the media... u cannot expect every actor to be good at interpersonal skills of this manner... that's why there is a difference between an 'actor' and a 'star'... i do not know gurmeet personally... i do not know if his aim in life is to do a good job in his field or to be star in his field... if his objective is to become a star then yes he might need to work on handling people and their questions...

Zee , forget SRK Kajol ! I wasn't even talking about this particular interview . I havnt even watched it because I don't understand the language ! My answer was merely in reply to a few posts that said he's bored of answering same questions and it got snowballed into 'turning him into a slave '

@Ashi: I think it's baseless to discuss it when people r thinking actors never do wrong, being it GC or DD, both do wrong and I am not defending any of them, they r human beings and people need to remember this, they do mistakes, I agree, but they r under the lime light, so they have to bear the consequences, coz they know well they r in such field...

Aamir Khan has also had his ups and downs with the media- does that detract from his credibility?

I dont know why and when- media interactions have become a part of the actors job description.
