I personally find Mama character OTT and boring. This is the CVs' fault that this happened. Their lazy writing has ensured that Mama is out of control. His alcoholism, his forgetfulness and his non-existent detective skills are grating on my nerves and the reason is this is as simple as this

We are familiar with his act and it has become boring.

I have heard that he writes and directs his own scenes. It is high time the writers did their work.

Next MSK is back to how he was when the show started. Infact he is worse. He respects no one and he is a law unto himself.

Let us see where they take this. But I for one stand by what MSK did today. See MSK does not know Mama from some ruffian on the street. He hates Geet and her freeloader family is not helping. Lucky for example does not work and only eats. Mama is so shameless that he drinks in his neice's sasural. Nano is busy dore-daaloing on Dev and least bothered that her cousin is going through hell.

I personally have no problems with what MSK did. I think he did what any person in his situation would do. He is short tempered and does not suffer fools gladly. Why should he?

Personally, I thought that scene was very funny..I haven't laughed so much at Mamaji's antics in a long time.


What I found hilarious was Mamaji mistaking Maan for a servant and telling him to dust the furniture.

Think about it gals..Maan, whose one look makes all the people in his life shiver and tremble is being ordered by mamaji to clean the house...and Maan's look of anger just bounces off him!

That was really funny.

And I don't think Maan's character is being destroyed completely...he's in deep frustration being forced to do things that he doesn't want...like jhan said, he's surrounded by a bunch of free-loaders all related to the one person he can't abide...Geet. So he understandably took out his frustration out on mamaji which he can't do with Geet or even dadima.

But one thing I have to add...Geet did bring about a sea-change in Maan's nature...so even if he's suffering from ML, surely, some vestige of that should linger, right?

I think it is a credit to the directors and GC that you hate Maan. It's vital to the story at this point, so that when he does start to soften, the effect is enhanced. And it was probably not easy to make us feel anything negative for this character whom we have come to love over the course of Geet/Maan's love story but they have managed it, without, in my opinion doing any damage to his characterisation. As for Mamaji, I have to agree with Maan in this one, KM has really become a chidiya-ghar! I couldn't stand Mama yesterday. And to be fair, Maan did allow him several warnings before he lost control.

It was Geet who broke Maan's barriers originally and made the ideal knight-in-shining-armour that we all drool over, and she will do it again, just you watch.

Agreed that Maan is being quite obnoxious but he is so yummy and sometimes, frankly hilarious, with his sarcastic jibes, that even when I hate him, I love him!
