Who was Maan before he met and fell in love with Geet?

- He was a man who believed in himself more than others.

- He had a very strong sense of what was right and what was wrong. He wouldn't condone wrong behaviour even if it is by his own family.

- He was a man who was efficient and expected the same from others. He will not tolerate inefficiency.

-He was a man who could mask his emotions. In fact he was so good at it, he thought he did not have any.

-He gave a lot of importance to his family but still held his own views. He will not cow down to anyone, even to his Dadima whom he loves and respects a lot. (Remember how he lived in the outhouse because of a disagreement with her?)

- He tends to jump to conclusions at the drop of a hat. He fails to see things from the other's point of view.

-He hated the pomp and grandeur of high society and preferred his own company more than the company of others.

Inspite of all these flaws, the man had a heart of gold which he kept well hidden from the rest of the world. He was a just and fair man who will go to any lengths to uphold that justice, even if it means that he may have to come down from his high horse. He is a chivalrous man and would risk his life if required to save others. He will stand by what he feels is right even at the risk of facing humiliation. Lost in the hard exterior is a little boy who craves for love and affection, someone who wants to be accepted with all his flaws, someone who desired to belong.

Geet's entry into his life had changed a lot of things in his life. Geet made him see life in all its splendour. She made him realise the humanness in him. She awoke his emotions which lay dormant and hidden. He learnt compassion and understanding. He learnt to loosen himself. He learnt to acknowledge his mistakes and apologise for them. He learnt to be less judgmental and more forgiving. He found peace and harmony in her.


With partial amnesia, he forgot everything he had learnt from her. He has gone back to being the hard hearted robot of a man he was. Geet has a tall task to make him relearn everything he did when he was with her. The task is harder because when she transformed the man before, she herself was not aware of how she did it. Just by being herself, she managed to win him over. At the time he met her she was a stranger who was treated pretty badly by her family and was even hunted down by them. Her weakness was indirectly her strength in winning him over. Now she is on a weak wicket because she is loved by his family which cannot stop singing her praises. She has somehow managed to come close to his family without his knowledge. She has practically invaded his house, family, office. She seems to be everywhere. Maybe her absence will be the trigger needed to awaken his senses and draw him closer to her. She needs to be elusive to enamour him, to bewitch him out of his senses.
