Be positive. Dont bash before you even see what happens in the episode. Geet is not ending. We have fought so hard for it, and now all we want to do is bash? Barry and the new director are handling things so well. Give them a chance with mama. I think he can play a key role in blurting things out to maan and bringing maaneet closer unintentionally. Also, with another side character, there will be less of devini. Cant we tolerate some mama for a lot of maaneet?

Rightly said Preethi. Jugnu Mama anyday instead of Devini.

Lets not jump the gun. I understand the emotions behind what the TM is saying. Sometimes it does seem like the CVs and the channel are trying to shut down the show... But thats not the case. There are hundreds of people whose lives depend on this show. And the PH and Channel are in the business of making money. They wont hamper their show thats generating money for them like that.

This is a nice track. Lets enjoy the show. Yes, the show is not like earlier. But how much novelty can the makers show? We complain if the scene is repeated, if the dialogue is repeated, if the clothes are repeated... All we do is just complain. I guess for once lets just trust the CVs and hope that they will deliver.

To All positive arguments,

We would have had no problem with parallel tracks provided we had a precedent of a good balance. We all know that too many characters were the reason that the maaneet bubble burst. Why else were we watching the show last year and fighting to save it this year?

WOW WHY BLAME THE PRODUCTION HOUSE DEAR. WE ARE BLAMING EVERYBODY HERE EXCEPT THE PERSON WHO IS NOT ABLE TO HANDLE THE FAME.
IS THERE NO RESPONSIBILITY OF THE LEAD TO HANDLE HIS PERSONAL LIFE KEEPING AWAY FROM THE LIMELIGHT?
THERE ARE THOUSANDS AND THOUSAND OF FANS WHO ARE SICK AND TIRED OF WATCHING THE LEAD'S PERSONAL LIFE ON NEWS EVERYDAY. I AM A DIE HARD GEET SHOW FAN AND I HAVE NOT AN OVERLY OBSESSED LEAD FANS HERE BUT IN THIS MATTER I REALLY LIKE HOW DRASHTI HAS MAINTAINED HER MEDIA SILENCE SO THAT IT SHOULD NOT EFFECT THE SHOW AT ALL.

HAVE YOU GUYS SERIOUSLY THOUGHT ABOUT THIS? IT COULD BE HUGE REASON BECOS OF EVERYDAY CRAP LIKE THIS, FANS MUST HAVE COMPLAINED TO PRODUCTION HOUSE AND NOW THEY WILL MAKE THE SHOW IN A WAY THAT THERE ARE NO TRP GAINING ANYMORE. IF WE DO NOT SEE MAANEET SO MUCH, TRPS ARE GOING TO DROP
AND MORE WE SEE LEAD'S PERSONL LIFE FLAUNTING IN THE NEWS, SAY GOOD BYE TO OUR SHOW VERY FAST.

I AM AMAZED PPL HERE ON INDIA-FORUMS DO NOT WANT TO SEE THE LOGIC AND TRUTH BEHIND WHAT IS GOING ON. IF I HAVE OPENED A CAN OF WORMS. SO BE IT BUT I DONT HAVE ANY FEAR TO TELL THE TRUTH.
THINK FROM YOUR BRAIN AND USE IT TOO. MAYBE YOU WILL GET SOME ANSWERS INSTEAD OF BEING A OVER OBSESSIVE FANS. EVERYBODY MAKE MISTAKES IN LIFE AFTERALL WE ALL ARE HUMANS NOT GOD.
GOOD LUCK

well i wud not like to comment upon the channel n phs conspiracy but ya as far as jugnus entry is concerned it wud really be testing my patience...just by saying that we need to be positive and satisfied wid wat we get...trps wud not increase...if thatwud have helped then i think by now the trps shud have been really high...see..we arent the only viewers...we belong to one category of viewers who are die hard fans of the show n watch it come what may n spend hrs on the net discussing about it on if n fb...but there is another category of viewers who just watch it as a show on tv on the basis of interest..if they like it theyll watch but if they feel bored by devni lucky n mama they simply change the channel...u cant tell them to be positive n watch the show as they watch it on simple interest basis...n trust me most of he viewers are like this...we crazy fans are a minority..i know so many people in my family who used to watch it but have stopped watching now some bec of dev track n some bec of holi epi...what do i tell them stay positive n watch the epi..n as far as the amritsar track is concerned...guess why people didnt like it...it gave us awesome maneet scnes n maneet moments...but what irritated the viewers was unnecessary screen space to devni n stupid comedy by mama..i wudnt say that mamas comedy was boring...but when he was shown for ten mins in 2o mins epi..ys then it was...no offence meant..my pov...

GurtiRocks2012 :

Firstly writing in Caps is considered shouting.

Secondly, Wow!! You have a very good reason for the show to end... The lead doesnt not want to do romantic scenes because of his personal life and thus we are not getting Maaneet scenes and thus the show is going to end. Thats a wonderful explanation...

I guess the lead has made the writers change the story so that he does not have to romance the lady since he has a memory loss. I guess he has asked the makers to give more space to Devini so that Maaneet can get less screen space. I guess the lead has asked the makers to get Lucky and Jugnu so that his screen space can be drastically reduced. Are the CVs so stupid that they will listen to the lead? And is the lead stupid enough to leave a show or reduce screen space of a show thats given him so much fame??

Just because a person is visible to the media more than others doesn't mean he is killing his own career. Every person has his/her own way of dealing with their relationships. We are no one to judge. If the viewers remain fans of the show and the actors then it would be sensible. Once they turn fanatics, it affects everybody.

Just because the actors perform on screen and are visible to us everyday trying to entertain us doesn't entitle fans from becoming fanatics who dictate the actors lives.

I think some of you are getting me wrong. I am talking of Maaneet, the onscreen couple and their appeal which kept us glued to the TV sets last year. I am talking about the crowding of their intense moments which could be developed with a good story and interesting conflicts regardless of country bumpkinish humour.
Never for once have I brought Gurmeet and Drashti (the offscreen persona) into the debate on show quality. Maaneet glows on screen, we are happy.
I am not interested in Gurti interviews but need to clarify since one of you have mentioned their private lives in the post. I think their offscreen camaraderie was shown initially to hype the show. Even the leads of a show from the same PH are doing extra airtime on TV segments to get the show going. Similarly, I would like to think that the ban on joint TV appearances is indeed the channel's, to generate curiosity about their togetherness on the show. For it would indeed be sad to imagine that wild internet gossip has affected the leads, whom i respect as professionals in their field. We are also women professionals working with male colleagues and friends, even partying with them. So I am not blaming the professional leads. I am only talking about concentrated maaneet projection in geet.
