My thoughts on today's episode.. (6/30/2011)
At first glance superb superb episode..
Gurmeet and Drahsti were awesome with their expressions and the new Dev's mom Usha Bachani was great as well.
As I stated yesterday that the total take over can only be taken by the family member as it not only included the official business of Khurana Constructions but also the personal property of Maan and Geet.
So the widow of Sr. Khurana came not only took over the total empire of Khurana constructions but also took over the personal wealth of MSK.
In the earlier episodes Dev's mom was shown as timid woman who even was afraid to talk to her son and bahurani NT and who was so guilt ridden that she practically reminded Dev everyday of what he did to Geet. She kept on saying the name of vahe Guru hysterically and asked his forgiveness constantly. She was the one who called Maan and asked him to help Dev with his debt and Maan did pay all the debt bribing the people for his papers forgetting his principles just on her request.
So there is a huge character difference in the old mom and this new mom. When they brought in Sameer Sharma, the change in the character was not too much as they always have shown Dev (Abhinav Shukla) to feel guilty and that is why he forced NT to go with him and confess the story of his fraud to his brother after that Maula mere Maula song sequence. But this step mom has drastically changed.
Other thing was that Geet did not recognize her. Pammi was the part of the group who cheated Geet and took away all her dowry money. So how come Geet did not recognize her. and how come Dev's mother got courage and once again take which belonged to Geet as Geet had equal share in Khurana's property and shares as Maan's wife..
And anyway Geet still could press charges against her if she wants to shut her up and her statement with Maan's signature is registered in the Police station with Dev confessing everything. Moreover there will be a passport entry of her stay in India during that time.
So now they are showing Maan and Dev as step brothers? But Maan did say that your elder son Maan Singh Khurana... but the mom said my own blood Dev. So there has to be another Sr. Mrs Khurana as Maan's mom
Right now Maan has walked out giving everything to her and her son Dev but as Pammi does not want him near Dev so her plan would be to drive him out of delhi and far away so she will cause more melodrama and emotional blackmail and would not want Maan to be near Dev. She kind of sounded pathetic but behind that she is playing some more mean games.
But I think Dadima may pass away and that will make Maan totally devastated. But dadima may bring some truth out about Maan's mom and Dev's mom before passing away and Maan may know that she has told lies about dadima and it may make him fight for the sake of Dadima.
I still do hope that Dev is not turning negative as he can gain nothing by turning negative. He may reject the plans of his mom but Maan would insist that he take all. I think Nandini may help Dev to make right decision as if he does not then he will lose her as she would not stand against her own sister and BIL who saved her life from big fraud like Daman..
And yes the promo was totally about the difference of opinion between Maaneet and not any separation as separation at this point does not make any sense. The dialogues of Geet today proved that she will stay with her Maan leaving everything behind and stand by him and his decision but she will be strong enough to stand up to Maan as to how to resolve the situation as I am sure the step mom will make sure that Maan cannot do anything and all his sources may be denied to him.. so Geet will be able to do something and when she can do something she will not back out.
I think the way step mom was behaving with Adi.. She has already more surprise store in for Maan. So let's see what will be coming.. well I must say the show has become more interesting as Usha Bachani is great actress who does negative role with the flare..
