My option - Maan himself is responsible i guess. He is penny wise pound foolish. He hitches a ride to shimla and spends tons on a kulfi for his wifey dearest.

I already had my doubts about his billionaire status ( sorry medha 😛 )

He must have mortgaged everything to look good in Biji's eyes.

He had an overdraft which he forgot to repay and the bank took over everything and bankrupted him.

Every time they say 'Pata hai yeh kaun hai - yeh maan singh khurana hai', I have been expecting this.

Now that loop will get closed with him walking sadly on the streets in black & white with a hole in his shoe and a sad song in the background and then somebody saying, 'Pata hai yeh kaun hai - yeh maan singh khurana hai' 😃
