in the recent past there are more than many who have been upset with geet and her attitude(including myself at some points as well)...but today i want to summarize geet handa turned geet khurana in brief and may be then we can understand her better...
whatever i write now are facts and not figments of my over analytical brain...
1. geet is 18 year old
2. she never had a proper formal education
3. men in her family would thrash her LRC if she comes late from school by 10 minutes
4. she was married off without her consent (yes she gave in to dev as a groom but not by choice but compulsion and gratitude that he saved her from brij a number of times)
5. she was a victim of rape(under the pretense of fake marriage)
6. abandoned at the airport mercilessly after being robbed off
7. discovered being pregnant
8.had ben inflicted upon multiple murder attemts
9. left home, parents and so called family to make a mark in a new city all alone for herself and her child
10. fell in love after initial turbulence and denial from both sides
11. everything sorted out...but bang...her tormentor turned out to be the flesh and blood of the most important person in her life that too on the day of her engagement
12. again left alone only to discover her man lying on hospital bed struggling for life
13. truth revealed...her tormentors in jail
14. then the first MU (lets not go into details...who was at fault etc...the bottom line is...she suffered)
15. she was subjected to something we as women would never like to be... the man she loves the most was so heart broken and driven to the edge that he made a grave mistake of forcing her physically...followed by the slap
16. again things looked right after mutual effort...she giving the most heart felt apology ever...all well
17. but the very next moment the evil queen is back with her murderous plans
18. again continuous life threatening attempts leading to KBM
19. finally she was happy that now nothing can go wrong on her big day
20. the evil queen was back...
21. brij was back
NUMEROUS MURDER ATTEMPTS IN A MATTER OF TWO DAYS...
22. after surviving these...she was finally united in matrimony with her savior, her lover, her gift from almighty
23. just when she was about to start her new life...her husband suddenly turned a cold shoulder (geet initially had no idea about maan's reluctance in getting close to her)
24. after the initial hiccups...again peace prevailed and they went to HM
25. but devil was back
26. their highway accident
27. she had to do the most undesirable job of her entire life...she had to beg, fall on the feet of a monster to save the life of her husband...and she had no other option
28. devil was back in their lives, their house, their breathing space
29. again she had to face the wrath of her husband who could not stand her leniency with devil(and rightly so)
30. again things became normal
31. then came the biggest blow...HER CHILD WAS GONE...
32. immediately after the biggest tragedy of her life...her husband was back to office (i swear i wanted to kill daadi for that idiotic suggestion)...and was not with her to share her pain
33. maan cleared the baby room (his intentions were noble but his way of implementing it was not very sensible)...which was a big blow
34. they had daadi and devil continuously poking their noses in their lives and giving some not wanted suggestions
35. she forgave devil for maan and their relationship to move on without the baggage of the past (yes i do not agree with this personally but i am not geet...its her life, her decision...and i respect it)
36 .holi fiasco (the biggest blunder till date in the show)
37. maan's outburst (yes he is justified...any man would have done that)
38. but in that outburst he shook the foundation of geet and attacked her self respect and lineage (he never meant them but words are like arrows...they hit you hard)...that too in front of devil (i personally had this complaint )
39. she left her house for an unknown destination...one thing leading to another...she landed in her aunt's family...tyrant and feudal in every sense of the word...
40. maan came to take her back with him but she refused and that too repeatedly
41. most importantly she kept her mouth shut even though her family inflicted numerous insults on maan or balwant
now the point is why...because she knows that if she opened her mouth her tyrant family will harm him in every possible way...she was scared and petrified...
SO NOW TELL ME GIRLS...
an 18 year old, betrayed multiple times in life from near and dear ones...who has faced numerous murder attempts and survived in the brink...lost her child...is forced to stay under the same roof as her rapist who happens to be the brother of her husband...has a grand mother in laws who unknowingly and unwillingly always manges to harm her equation with maan (and maan listens to her blindly makes things worse)...
do you really expect her to behave rationally and righteously every time...
she never had education
she never had a friend
she has no family to go back to
BUT...
in most of the times in her life...she came out as a winner and she triumphed...because of her strength of character...
AND
of all the things that destiny has robbed her of...she has been given a gift...HER MAAN...
yes this time she has taken it far...so what...she has maan who will guide her like always...who will educate her about self respect and stubbornness...
give them that time...
they will win...their love will win...we just need to be patient
calling names ans bashing characters never serves any purpose...
understand her as a woman, as a mother, as a wife, as a lover...we will see a part of us in her...
