Maan screamed awake from the nightmare ; the same one haunting him for the last 5 years .He clenched & unclenched his fists as he seethed in anger @ himself for still feeling the same hollowness & anguish that he felt on that fateful day his life , his soul , his love , his Geet left him .
Gulping down a glass of water he tried to calm himself . He lowered the temperature of the A.C. further to cool him down & slowly drifted to a restless slumber .

"Good morning Vicky"
Vicky was reading The Sun . He looked up to see Geet coming down . Dressed in a white top & basic blue jeans she still managed to look a class apart .
Vicky : Hey Geet ! Morning ! Just in time . I asked Maria to get your favorite chocolate pancakes & black coff...
Vicky stopped abruptly .
Geet , who was smiling widely suddenly had an array of emotions flooding her face . Memories rushed to her ... blissful & worst .
5 years , 5years since her life took a complete turn , she promised herself never to relive those regretful memories but alas! its easier said than done .His smile , his passion , his favorites everything ... every single detail she remembered with precision .
Vicky sensing the awkwardness tried to divert her ." You know Geet , Gol Gappa called this morning "
Geet who was lost suddenly snapped listening to the 'Gol Gappa' part ;a nick name given by her to her best friend Pinky .
Geet : You mean Pinky called , right ?
Vicky : Yup ! and guess what ? she's getting married to Adi .
Geet : That's great . Finally , they had the courage to confess & seek their parents' permission to go ahead .
Vicky : Yeah . Pinky called up , you were getting ready , so she spoke with me .
Their marriage is on 10th June & they invited us Geet .
" I can't Vicky " ... came Geet's instant reply even before he could finish the sentence .
Vicky : But
" No buts . I'm not going & that is final . If you wanna go please do so ."
Geet quickly stuffed her breakfast & rushed off to work .
Vicky looked at her & decided to deal with the matter later .

"Maan , beta Adi has called" ... Savitri Devi ( Maan's grandmom ) told her grandson .
" Hello Maan . Woh ... actually ... kya hai na ... I mean ... you know..."
Maan : Adi , what is it ?
Adi : Woh Maan I'm getting married to Pinky & we would be very happy if you could come .
Adi said in one breath .
Adi was Maan's best buddy .Even though things changed a lot over the last 5 years Adi was always with him , looking after Maan as his own brother . Even though reluctant Maan agreed to be there for him & Pinky .
After having , few talks over the future project of KC (Khurana Constructions) Adi could not stop himself from spilling that he invited Geet & Vicky too .
That was enough to stiffen Maan's composure .
Maan :Are they coming ?
Adi : Well Vicky agreed but am not sure of Geet . Although Vicky promised me he would try his best to convince her .
Maan : Hmmm . Okay , Adi .
'Maan' ... as he disconnected the call , he heard the voice of the biggest blunder he ever committed ; unfortunately now his wife Sameera.
Sam : Who was it ?
Maan(simply coldly replied) : Adi
Sam : Oh ! Anything important .
Maan : Yes . He's getting married to Pinky .
Sam(giving her plastic artificial smile) : Really , wow ! am so happy for them .So nice to see 2 love birds uniting in the holy bonds of matrimony .
Maan gave sarcastic smile turned to face her :'' 2 love birds ', 'holy bonds of matrimony '... save such sweet words for those who don't know you Sam.
Sam : Why do you dig up the past memories Maan . Can't we move on like Geet??
Maan : SAM !!! SHUT UP !! JUST SHUT UP !!
Remember I believe in charity . You're staying in this house , sharing the title Khurana coz your mom is sick ; she already suffered 2 heart attacks.
You're just entitled to food , clothing & shelter - the basics don't I repeat don't even dream of anything more than this .
Maan's mobile rang this time . He would have given Sam a piece of his mind but it was an important project far more precious than her . He received the call & rushed for his usual day @ his place of solace amidst work in Khurana Constructions .
