to each his own but i agree with you prema, i was born hindu and i intend to stay hindu. i have lots of family who were born hindus and they converted to christians because they married christians but that's all good, its their choice.

You know that doesn't really matter, because you do want someone compatible and who you can trust & love unconditionally & vice-versa- I think I was very lucky, arranged marriage is a gamble, I have seen many fall apart too. Love marriages seem to be like a gamble too, because I know many who were in so much love & thought everything was perfect during dating, but after marriage, things changed and just did not work out. With that said, I always believed in my parents a lot as much as God and felt that they could never go wrong in deciding my life and I guess I was destined for a good one too, so it all worked out.
You should follow your instincts too, but depends on your family perspective too, I don't think it is easy to chose a life-partner, but persistence & patience definitely helps. Not getting pressurized/influenced by peers is an important factor. I didn't find love before marriage, but did after and Rosh found love before and stuck to it, so it's all good, but one has to be careful.

true mish divorce rate is really high now. people meet, fall in love, rush to get married and then after marriage realise that it cannot work out. my mom always tells me to pray and God will send me my life partner. He will send me my Shri Ram😊 He is never wrong.

I know about divorce, many of my friends have gone or are going through, I should PM you all about a very sad one, but anyway, yes believe in yourself, God & your parents and I agree with your mom👏
