Sulekha (Sharmila Tagore), a student of Botany, goes for a study camp. Professor Tripathi (Dharmendra), who is staying in the guesthouse where the college girls are put up, masquerades as a watchman to escape the students. Sulekha finds out the truth about his identity and they fall in love with each other. They get married but her elder sister and brother-in-law (Om Prakash) are unable to attend the wedding. Sulekha speaks very highly of her brother-in-law and the Professor finally decides to meet this man who has made such a deep impact on his wife.He declares that he will stay in her sister's house as a driver for a month and not get caught. Sulekha is sure that he will get caught in a day .The professor goes and stays at her sister's place for a month, masquerading a driver named Pyare Mohan, who speaks chaste Hindi. Sulekha comes without her husband and on being questioned, tells her sister that her husband has gone on important work and is not expected back for some time. She then goes around with PyareMohan, providing plausible explanations for doing so. The prank on her brother-in-law carries on for a month with some vital help provided by Tripathi's friend who is a Professor of English (Amitabh Bachchan).Notable songs are :Sare ga ma, ma sa re ga ma...."; "Ab ke sajan sawan me, aag lagegi badan mein, ghata barshegi, magar tarsegi nazar, mil na sakenghe do mahn ek hi aagan mein..."; "Chupke chupke chal di purvaiya, basuri bajaike raas rachaye daiya re daiya, chupke...".

l hav seen both d bengali & hindi movies so if the track is moving in that direction then we will get some wonderful moments but l have a ques if lachhi becomes Jaya Bhaduri what will happen to our sweet Pinky?

Pammi will not call MSK Pyare because she has hitler husband( Teji) maybe Nandini will do something like that.

It is one of my favourites...lost count of how many times i have watched chupke chupke...great actors in a totally different version and how!!😆
