Cricket Mania among STAR One actors |
It's Mohaliday for every cricket lover, as today is the big India-Pakistan cricket 2011 World Cup semi-final match. And the whole of India is cheering for our men in blue, of course. Cricket fever has gripped our Bollywood and tellywood stars, too. How can our Star One actors be left behind? |
Television's most loved couple, Maan Singh Khurana and Geet from STAR One's Geet 'Hui Sabse Parayi, will go to cheer Team India in Mohali. Both are looking forward to watching their favourite players on the field. It would be a refreshing break for Geet and Maan from their hectic lives, as both are excited to witness this historic match and join millions of cricket fans from both countries to watch the match. This initiative taken by the Star One channel has a two fold agenda ' to give their lead actors a day of enjoyment and to use the opportunity to connect with the people and promote their show. Geet and Maan are the second couple, who would be enjoying the match, after Abhay and Piya from STAR One's Pyaar Kii Ek Yeh Kahaani did a while ago. An excited Maan Singh Khurana aka Gurmeet spoke to us enroute to Mumbai airport. He exclaimed, "Yes, I am quite excited to watch this match between India and Pakistan which, I am sure, will be thrilling. Our men in blue are true heroes, and I am proud of our Indian team. Being a true cricket fan, I will enjoy a good game of cricket irrespective of the result, though I do support my Indian team. There is huge excitement over the match, and we are all looking forward to a great game of cricket. This is the first time I will be watching a match in a stadium, so it will be a novel experience for me to see my favourite players Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvi and Dhoni." Geet Khurana aka Drashti added, "I am just heading to the airport and looking forward to this match. I want the Indian team to win and Yuvraj Singh to play well. I love Yuvraj Singh. It will be a nice treat to be out there, and the atmosphere will be very refreshing." Apart from Maan and Geet, even Abhay Raichand aka Vivian Dsena sounded quite excited about the match. He said, "My best wishes are with the Indian team. I want to tell them not to be nervous and just play a natural game. I want Dhoni to make a century. Let's hope for the best." The whole nation is excited and eagerly looking forward to this historic match, as are the millions of cricket fans all over the world. All the best, India!!! Don't forget to tune in to Geet - Hui Sabse Parayi every Monday ' Saturday at 9.30 PM, only on STAR One. |
