I think in their own way both can be correct. Some do say tabeez and labz in Hindi...so both should be ok.. I too thought that the two words were mispronounced when I first heard them but later when I asked some friends they said both pronunciations can be taken as correct. But the Urdu words are definitely with a 'v'

hmmm I think its not the problem with language but the area..
For example people from kolkata takes name like debojeet(its actually Devojeet)
in thier own way both are correct I think.. but not sure.
I heard in certain areas like benga no word starts or ends with V instead that v is replaced with b
for example vaidhehi is called as boidhehi like that.. not sure if that applies here.. as the thaveez word has v in middle 😆

I used to live in delhi and some people use the word taveez and others use tabeez but the word lavz is always pronounced correctly.
I think the wrong pronunciation is used because people in mumbai usually speak slang Hindi or use English to converse hence the actors might be used to that.

OOOh and the word jurrat is usually not pronounced as zurrat. I think its just maan and his hindi sometimes does sound very faulty that might be because he speaks tamil, bengali, hindi and bihari. So it sounds like a mixture accent of all these languages.
