Samir Sharma, who was last seen in Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki as Rishabh, is all set to play the character of Dev in Geet. Samir will replace Abhinav Shukla who left the show to be part of Shakuntalam's upcoming show Kudesan on Colors.
A source says, "Our unit is currently busy shooting for Geet and Maan's honeymoon sequence. We have already shown that some mystery person is behind the couple. Eventually Maan and Geet will confront Dev and will be surprised to see him in a Simla hotel. Dev is the manager of the hotel where Geet and Maan are staying.
"Dev will come across as a completely different person to them. It is expected that he will have a cordial relationship with them at least for the time being. However, Geet will initially feel uncomfortable in the presence of her ex-husband, how she will deal with this situation is yet to be decided. Samir has shown his interest in doing the show and if everything falls into place according to our plan then he will soon start shooting for the show. Dev's re-entry is likely to take place during the weekend."
Samir says, "Yes, I have been approached to do Geet, but things are not yet finalized."
Drashti Dhami (Geet) and Maan (Gurmeet Choudhary) stayed unavailable for comment.
